๐ผ14 April 1980. The day Heavyโก๏ธMetal came from England ๐ค
This rock genre already existed for 10 years, but these 2 bands had their say in... spreading the disease!๐ณ๐
๐ธIron Maiden release their eponymous debut album with an incredible #4 in UK Charts on the first week! It's their only album to feature #DennisStratton as #guitarist, soon replaced by #AdrianSmith.
๐ธJudas Priest, who were a little older, release their sixth studio album British Steel (some say their absolute masterpiece!), acquiring the nickname of "Metal Gods" after one of the songs, a "status" then reversed on their #vocalist phenomenon and frontman #RobHalford (still today referred within the scene as Metal God).
Needless to say I love every single track from these 2 albums ๐ so in the Chat Room๐ I will just post the 2 opening tracks: if you have any favorite song from Iron Maiden and British Steel... help yourself and post them ๐

๐ผ25 August 1951. What a month for hard rock and metal voices!!! Happy 70th Birthday ๐ฅณ๐พ to The Metal God Mr. Rob Halford, born Robert John Arthur Halford in Sutton Coldfield, England.
For his distinctive operatic voice he is widely considered the best Heavyโก๏ธMetal #vocalist alive๐๐ค, having crossed 5 decades fronting #JudasPriest and his own project Halford.
His voice still gives me shivers ๐ฅถ๐, in the Chat Room๐ 2 of his masterpieces...

๐ South Of Heaven
#ThrashMetal
35 years ago Slayer from Huntington Park, Los Angeles, #USA released their 4th studio album.
In South Of Heaven #Slayer deliberately slowed down tempos and vocals as compared to their previous albums, thus surprising and disappointing some of their fans.
This is a killer album anyway and one of my favorite from them, my original cassette still hits hard in #VeniceRocksRoom ๐ฅโ๏ธ
This album contains a #JudasPriest cover, "Dissident Aggressor".
In this album:
#TomAraya โ bass, vocals
#KerryKing โ guitars
#JeffHanneman โ guitars
#DaveLombardo โ drums
