📜⚔7 October 1571. One of the most important dates in Europe history! The Holy League composed by the armies of the Pope, the Spanish and the Venetians, defeated the Ottoman Empire armies in the epic naval Battle of Lepanto, ancient name of an island in Greece.
With this victory the Holy League saved Europe from the Ottoman expansion and Islamic submission, thus preserving the Christian identity of the whole continent!
The contribution of Venice for the victory was crucial: Venice at the time was the strongest city in the Mediterranean area, in terms of commercial and military power💪🏻

🎼😈7 October 1986. Talking about wars and battles today⚔️... 35 years ago darkness descended on music thanks to a studio album of unprecedented violence 😱. Slayer released their third work Reign in Blood, just 29 minutes of pure Heavy⚡️Metal armageddon which along with #Metallica 's Master of Puppets (March 1986) and #Megadeth 's Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? (September 1986) contributed to define the Thrash Metal sound, which evolved in its many subgenres in following years.
The desperate scream of #vocalist Tom Araya introducing the first album's track Angel of Death stays as one of the most iconic moments in Heavy Metal history.
Reign in Blood is still regarded today as one of the most important and influential albums of all time 🤟
I cannot but post the entire album here👇
