๐ผ13 September 1961. Happy 60th Birthday ๐ฅณ๐พto Dave Mustaine, born David Scott Mustaine in La Mesa, California, USA.
Founder, leader, #vocalist and #guitarist of Heavy Metal masters Megadeth since 1983, after being an early member of #Metallica, #DaveMustaine is regarded as one of the most important and controversial charachters in Heavyโก๏ธMetal history.
In the Chat Room๐ his best killer riff ๐ต๐ธto date... for me ๐๐ค๐ #Megadeth #13September

๐ผ๐7 October 1986. Talking about wars and battles todayโ๏ธ... 35 years ago darkness descended on music thanks to a studio album of unprecedented violence ๐ฑ. Slayer released their third work Reign in Blood, just 29 minutes of pure Heavyโก๏ธMetal armageddon which along with #Metallica 's Master of Puppets (March 1986) and #Megadeth 's Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? (September 1986) contributed to define the Thrash Metal sound, which evolved in its many subgenres in following years.
The desperate scream of #vocalist Tom Araya introducing the first album's track Angel of Death stays as one of the most iconic moments in Heavy Metal history.
Reign in Blood is still regarded today as one of the most important and influential albums of all time ๐ค
I cannot but post the entire album here๐

๐ Countdown to Extinction
#HeavyMetal #ThrashMetal
30 years ago Megadeth from Los Angeles, #USA released their 5th studio album entitled Countdown to Extinction.
This album was immediately a tremendous success, peaking Billboard 200 at N.2, Megadeth's highest chart position ever. This happened mainly thanks to the band's simplified sound, highly appreciated both by fans and critics.
Countdown to Extinction contains many #Megadeth best known songs such as the titletrack, "Symphony of Destruction", "Sweating Bullets", "Skin o' My Teeth", all of which became acclaimed live standards.
Megadeth in this album were:
#DaveMustaine โ lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitars, producer
#DavidEllefson โ bass, backing vocals
#MartyFriedman โ lead and rhythm guitars, acoustic guitar, backing vocals
#NickMenza โ drums, backing vocals

๐ Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!
#ThrashMetal #SpeedMetal
40 years ago Megadeth from Los Angeles, #USA, released their debut studio album.
Killing Is My Business is unanimously considered essential for establishing Thrash Metal as a stand-alone subgenre.
The track "Mechanix" was written by leader Dave Mustaine who performed it with Metallica in early 1980s. Controversies arose since Metallica reworked the song, entitled it "The Four Horsemen" and included it in ๐ their debut album.
Further controversies for the cover of "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" written by #LeeHazlewood and recorded by #NancySinatra. #Megadeth changed the song words and Hazlewood would persecute them for years.
This legendary album hits hard today in #VeniceRocksRoom๐ค
In this album:
#DaveMustaine โ vocals, guitar, piano
#DavidEllefson โ bass, backing vocals
#ChrisPoland โ guitar
#GarSamuelson โ drums, timpani
