40 years ago in undocumented dates, CCCP from #ReggioEmilia, #Italy, released their their debut studio albums, 2 EPs.
Both were published through the indipendent label Attack Punk Records from Bologna and became soon sought after rarities, until Virgin Records re-printed and published them as a Compilation in 1988.
Since their beginnings, the band opted for a drum machine instead of a real drummer.
Danilo Fatur and Annarella are credited as they are in fact the band's theatrical performers.
All songs in here became #CCCP signatures and live standards, some were re-recorded and included in their 1986 debut full-length.

The band was founded in 1982 when leaders Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Massimo Zamboni met in Berlin, #Germany. Both were fascinated by this city, phisically split in 2 political opposite sides.
They started there to compose songs and play their first concerts: the band was named after the Cyrillic script for USSR (= CCCP), acronym of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, although pronounced according to Italian phonetics.
They added Fedeli Alla Linea following an encounter with a Berlin border officer who pronounced the phrase "Der Linie Treu" ("True To The Line") after hearing their band's name.
With overtly anti-capitalism and ostentatiously Bolshevik lyrics, #CCCP gained at the same time ostracism from the music industry and a cult following all over Europe.

Self-defined as "Musica Melodica Emiliana—Punk Filosovietico" ("Emilian Melodic Music—Philo-Soviet Punk"), CCCP incorporated in their Militant Punk Rock style, elements of Folk, Electropop, Industrial, Middle Eastern and Chamber music, all intertwined with frontman Ferretti's delirious cut-up lyrics and Brecht-ian delivery of bleak visions of humankind, introduction of elements of expressionist theatre and existentialist philosophy, both in their studio and live performances.
#CCCP are unanimously considered one of the biggest influence for the entire Italian Rock scene.
