#HardRock #PowerPop #AOR #ProgressiveRock
40 years ago Zebra from New Orleans, #USA released their self-titled debut album.
#Zebra (founded in 1975) gained a cult following in the years having toured extensively the US mainly as a cover band, that's why this record became the fastest selling debut album for Atlantic Records.
Hard to think that 2 totally different, if not opposite, worlds like 70s Progressive Rock and 80s #HairMetal could ever join... it happened in Zebra!
This Power Trio (a la Rush) was perfectly at ease in touring and opening for both 👉 Yes and 👉 Twisted Sister!
Superb work from guitarist, vocalist and band leader Randy Jackson and one of my 1980s favorite albums🤘❤️🔥
Zebra were (and still are):
#RandyJackson – guitar, vocals, piano, Mellotron, synthesizer, percussion
#FelixHanemann – bass, backing vocals, keyboards, strings
#GuyGelso – drums, backing vocals, percussion
