40 years ago Zebra from New Orleans, #USA released their self-titled debut album.
#Zebra (founded in 1975) gained a cult following in the years having toured extensively the US mainly as a cover band, that's why this record became the fastest selling debut album for Atlantic Records.
Hard to think that 2 totally different, if not opposite, worlds like 70s Progressive Rock and 80s #HairMetal could ever join... it happened in Zebra!
This Power Trio (a la Rush) was perfectly at ease in touring and opening for both 👉 Yes and 👉 Twisted Sister!
Superb work from guitarist, vocalist and band leader Randy Jackson and one of my 1980s favorite albums🤘❤️🔥

50 years ago Crack The Sky from West Virginia, #USA released their self-titled debut album.
The album was critically acclaimed as "best debut of the year" but failed commercially due to distribution problems.
#CrackTheSky never enjoyed the success of contemporary American bands such as Kansas, Styx, Steely Dan, though they toured US opening for all of them.
They remain one of the best hidden gems of the 1970s, and this is fantastic album ❤️🔥
