50 years ago Soft Machine from #Canterbury, England, #UK released their 9th studio album.
Like 👉 their previous album, Softs features a wider use of guitars as compared to the band's past discography.
During the recording of the album, #SoftMachine last remaining original member, Mike Ratledge, left the band.
This is probably why many see this album as a complete loss of the band's identity.
In any case this is amazing music from beginning to end ❤️🔥
In this album:
#RoyBabbington – bass
#JohnEtheridge – acoustic and electric guitars
#JohnMarshall – drums, percussion
#AlanWakeman – saxophones
#KarlJenkins – piano, electric piano, Hohner Pianet, Minimoog, string synthesizers, orchestrations
Additional musician
#MikeRatledge – synthesizer
