The White Stripes
📀 Elephant
#HardRock #GarageRock #PunkBlues
20 years ago The White Stripes, Garage Rock Duo from Detroit, #USA released their 4th studio album.
Elephant immediately recieved critical acclaim and marked the international breakthrough for the band becoming their best seller.
#WhiteStripes lo-fi approach to music and recording techninque (they didn't use computers, old tape machines instead) raised them as leading act of the so called Garage Rock Revival movement.
The main single "Seven Nation Army" became a sports anthem and still today a fans popular chant and one of the most recognizable songs worldwide!
In this album:
#JackWhite – vocals, guitar, piano, producer
#MegWhite – drums, vocals
Guest personnel
#MortCrim – speech
#HollyGolightly – vocals
#1April

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds
📀 Murder Ballads
#ArtRock #GothicRock #FolkRock #DarkCabaret #PunkBlues
30 years ago Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds from Melbourne, #Australia released their 9th studio album.
The entire album consists of new and traditional murder ballads, a type of songs about crimes and violence.
Murder Ballads was critically acclaimed and is to date #NickCave most successful album.
One of the darkest and most intense albums I've heard, along with the following 👉 Boatman's Call my favorite Nick Cave 🔥
The duets with Kylie Minogue and PJ Harvey are heavenly 🖤
