🎼December 1971. 50 years ago Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) a newly formed band from Birmingham, England release their eponymous debut album.
#ELO formed from the ashes of #TheMove, a succesful end 60s English psychedelic rock band, thanks to the 3 original founders, songwriters and multi instrumentalists #JeffLynne and #RoyWood and #drummer #BevBevan. Their music style is a distinctive Progressive Rock mixed with Classic Rock and a fusion of
Beatlesque pop,
Classical arrangements,
futuristic iconography.
ELO would define themselves as Baroque-n-Roll 😳 and would score many hits throughout their career in the 70s and 80s: they are still active today! 🤟
