While the US burns billions of dollars in missiles over Iran, China is receiving a priceless dataset for free.
⏺ If China moves on Taiwan tomorrow, the PLA will know the response time of every air defense system, every deployment pattern, every logistics vulnerability. The US has effectively conducted an open exam for its primary strategic adversary.
➡️ The obvious question: do 18 US intelligence agencies not see 300 satellites?
Of course they do. The NRO (National Reconnaissance Office) has tracked every Jilin-1 since launch. The NSA intercepts their data downlinks. They know China is recording everything.
And they went to war anyway.

While the US burns billions of dollars in missiles over Iran, China is receiving a priceless dataset for free.
Over 300 Chinese Jilin-1 satellites have been recording every detail of the war since day one, second by second. Jilin-1 is nominally a commercial constellation, but its operator — Chang Guang Satellite Technology — is a de facto PLA structure. Sub-meter resolution. Real-time video. And they are monitoring everything:
• Weapons loading times at US air bases (Al Udeid, Al Dhafra, Fairford)
• Tomahawk and JASSM flight trajectories
• Air defense response times to Iranian drones
• In-flight refueling patterns
• B-2 flight paths — aircraft that are supposed to be invisible
This is a full-spectrum X-ray of the US military machine under real combat conditions. Everything China couldn't learn from exercises and simulations — they're now getting from an actual war. Every second of air defense operation, every Tomahawk guidance algorithm — all of it is being converted into terabytes of training data for Chinese neural networks.

A. Taiwan has already been conceded. The decision was made: Iran matters more than Taiwan. Oil matters more than chips. This explains why Trump said as early as 2025 that Taiwan is "far away" and "should pay for its own protection." On February 24, 2026 — just four days before the war began — the New York Times reported that the CIA had secretly warned Apple, Nvidia, and AMD back in 2023 that China could invade Taiwan by 2027. NATO had already signaled it would "not intervene." If Taiwan is already written off, Chinese intelligence gathering isn't a threat — it's an acceptable cost.
B. The decision wasn't made at the strategic level. Defense Secretary Hegseth is a TV host. Kushner is a real estate developer. If the decision to go to war was made by people who don't understand what Jilin-1 is — then this isn't an "acceptable cost." It's blindness. And that's far more terrifying.
C. The war is the product, not the tool. If the goal is chaos itself, then Chinese intelligence, oil at $200, and recession aren't bugs — they're features. Who needs chaos on this scale remains an open question.
