Nuclear winter would result in the severe, long-lasting global cooling that could happen after a large-scale nuclear war in which many cities are hit by nuclear bombs, those explosions would cause huge fires, burning buildings, forests and everything around.

The smoke and soot from these fires would rise high into the sky, into a part of the atmosphere called the stratosphere, where it can stay for years because rain can't wash it away.

This thick layer of soot would block sunlight from reaching the Earth's surface, like a giant shade over the planet.

With less sunlight, the Earth would get much colder. The temperatures in the US would plunge by roughly 40 degrees Fahrenheit, making farming impossible.

This cold and darkness would lead to massive food shortages and starvation. Animals and fish would also struggle to survive, making food even scarcer.

Analysis: If even Turkey (a neighbor and key trading partner) is evacuating people while hiding behind denials, it means they expect chaos rather than surgical strikes. Surgical strikes on bunkers do not require the evacuation of civilians from Tehran. Evacuation is necessary if the following is expected:
• Nationwide power and communication blackouts.
• Urban warfare (street fighting).
• The collapse of the government.

Analysis: #Jordan acts as a buffer. If Israel is clearing minefields, it could mean preparation for a ground corridor (unlikely) or, more likely, anticipation of a massive influx of refugees or a breakthrough of militants from the east in the event of a regional collapse. Alternatively, they may be preparing sites for deploying additional Arrow-3 batteries closer to the eastern border to intercept Iranian missiles over Jordan.

Analysis: This is diplomacy in its death throes. The statement "ready for war but want negotiations" is a classic cry for help. However, flying to Beirut (which is currently in Israel's crosshairs) is suicidal. Either Araghchi is delivering a message to Hezbollah to "throw everything you have into the fight, we are perishing," or, more likely, he is trying to negotiate personal security guarantees through #Lebanon (and #France).

• In 2025, strikes unified the nation (partially).
• In 2026, if the people are already in the streets, an external strike on IRGC (Revolutionary Guard) bases and government bunkers will be perceived not as aggression, but as assistance to the uprising.
• If the regime wavers, the US will launch a "Decapitation Strike" to finish off the leadership and give the opposition a chance to take power.

Canberra has launched an investigation into cyber threats associated with Chinese-made electric buses after British authorities warned about the possibility of their remote deactivation.

A prominent Australian cybersecurity expert claims these buses pose a threat to national interests.

British media reported that the UK National Cyber Security Centre and the Department for Transport discovered that Yutong electric buses could be remotely shut down from China using an "emergency kill switch."

A similar problem was discovered in November by the Norwegian transport operator Ruter. Ruter published test results showing that the bus manufacturer, Yutong Group, has access to the buses' control systems "for software updates and model diagnostics."

The Yutong Australia website states that since 2012, the company has "supplied" over 1,500 buses and electric buses to Australia.
