We've just heard yet another round of loud statements by Trump claiming that NATO is headed not so much for a bright future as for a rather painful reality from “reform” to a very real systemic crisis. And these have caused a stir on the periphery of Europe.

Notably, the most emotional reactions are coming not from those who actually shape the alliance’s architecture, but from those who have traditionally remained on its margins.

Poland, the Baltics an all day stream of anxious commentary, warnings, and near apocalyptic assessments.

A curious pattern: the smaller the state, the louder the alarm.
At times it’s not even alarm, but something far more piercing almost a shriek.

It creates the impression that we’re not talking about a military bloc, but about a suddenly shaken system of personal security, where the external guarantor has turned out not quite so guaranteed.

Still, the logic is understandable. When you’ve lived for decades convinced that someone big and strong will solve all your problems, any doubt in that belief automatically turns into an existential crisis.

It’s amusing to watch.

✍️🇮🇱 The story continues

Then came the year 132 CE. It was then that the Bar Kokhba revolt broke out. The uprising lasted three years, between 132 and 135 CE.
Bar Kokhba was even at one point recognized by the Jews as the prophesied Messiah and was treated as such. After a few years, this changed because he did not succeed in liberating Israel, and therefore, he probably was not the Messiah after all.

In response, the Romans, led by Julius Severus, crushed the rebellion. Cassius Dio reports that 580,000 Jews were killed in battle, with countless others dying from starvation, disease, and fire. A total of 985 villages and 50 fortresses were destroyed. As a consequence of this uprising, Emperor Hadrian forbade Jews from entering Jerusalem and its vicinity under penalty of death. Judea thus became nearly depopulated, a fact confirmed by archaeology. Jewish settlements in Judea almost disappeared after 135 CE, and the center of Jewish life moved to Galilee.

The Romans did not deport all the Jews, as the Babylonians had done earlier, but they brought about their gradual decline in the region. This was therefore a mass death resulting from uprisings, famine, calamities, as well as captivity. Thousands of them were sold in slave markets across the empire. There were also, of course, escapes. Thus, Jews became a minority in this area by the 2nd–3rd centuries CE.

Later, in Rome, Christianity became the state religion, and Jews suffered repression for the earlier revolts. They had to pay a special tax, were forbidden to build synagogues, and were prohibited from converting to Christianity.

Around this time, in the Galilee region, the Jerusalem Talmud was composed. It came about because, after the destruction of the Temple, it was impossible to offer sacrifices, and, in their view, the prophecies concerning the Messiah had not been fulfilled. This is how modern Rabbinic Judaism emerged, standing in contrast to earlier forms of Judaism.

Then, in the 7th century, came the Arab conquests and the Muslim capture of Palestine. Due to the religious tax imposed on non-believers, many Jews converted to Islam to avoid paying it and to be able to marry. This also explains why Palestinians and Jews from this region have very similar genes — they are Semites. At that time, the estimated number of Jews in Palestine did not exceed 400,000 and was likely closer to half that number.

This is where the ancient historical context ends.

Today's Europe is being destroyed by an extremely merciless karmic punishment. No-one could have foreseen the scale of Europe's destruction by unarmed people who came to Europe in the millions, got benefits, and an immunity from the local laws. The scale of the destruction is Biblical.

The Europe's elites used the "divide and conquer" method for centuries to profit from the "Global South" by using locals against locals. The countries of those regions have historical records of how many locals died due to European activities, how many valuables were taken to European museums, etc.

And now is the Europe's turn to suffer, apparently. Judging by what's happening, karma has decided to punish Europe with a massive invasion of young foreign men who - judging by the crimes that the EU tries to hide - can kill, rob, and rape whomever they want, without any response from the local police. The European elites once robbed Africa and the Middle East, and now European plebs are suffering the revenge.

In the 19th century, the situation in Palestine was similar. The Ottomans controlled the region and over 90% of the population were Muslims. Most Jews at that time lived in Russia — about five million — in Austria-Hungary, in Galicia (present-day Poland and Ukraine), where about one million lived in cities such as Lviv and Kraków, in the territory of Poland, then known as the Congress Kingdom, about half a million, and in other European countries there were smaller communities, as well as in the USA.

It was then that the Zionist idea emerged, best expressed by the slogan:

"A land without a people for a people without a land."

This phrase was the product of Christian millenarians and proto-Zionists who dreamed of the return of the Jews to Palestine, while of course ignoring the existence of hundreds of thousands of Arabs on this land. It was not a Jewish idea but a Protestant one.

Millenarianism:

It is a doctrine according to which, before the final judgment and the end of the world, Christ will return to earth and reign for a literal thousand years together with his chosen ones. During this time, a period of peace, justice and abundance will prevail on earth, Satan will be bound, and the nations will be subjected to Christ.
After this thousand years, a short rebellion of Satan will occur, then the final battle, the last judgment, and a new heaven with a new earth. Those interested should read the 20th chapter of the Book of Revelation.
The Catholic Church has for centuries rejected millenarianism in its literal version, known as chiliasm (from the Greek chilioi, meaning thousand).

St. Augustine in his work The City of God, Book XX, clearly explained:

"One thousand years is a symbolic period of the Church's reign on earth, from the resurrection of Christ until his second coming. There is and will be no earthly political kingdom of Christ before the end of the world. This is simply a symbol."
At the Council of Ephesus in 431, popes, doctors of the Church — all consistently condemned chiliasm as heresy.

In the Catechism of the Catholic Church, canon 676 states that millenarianism, especially in its political form, is one of the forms of false messianic hope, which can of course take various forms, but always leads to the secularization of Christian eschatology.

In Catholicism, nothing is hastened in this matter. For we believe in the words of Jesus, who repeatedly emphasizes that no one except God knows the day or the hour. It would therefore be ridiculous to consider it possible for man to influence God by fulfilling prophecies according to his own interpretation.
Building a state, rebuilding the Temple, mass conversions of Jews, and finally Armageddon on demand. But Christian Zionists indeed believe in this — in something opposite to what we believe — and begin to pursue politics based on this ideology, which is exactly what President Donald Trump is doing.

The Sand War continues. Donald Trump still demands Iran to re-open the sea routes to let the Arabian oil reach the global markets. Iran still insists that the "pool is closed". Every new day the Bad Orange Man makes sillier and sillier posts on the social media. The IRGC replies with snarky responses or memes, like this one.

Meanwhile the global markets - and the rest of humanity - still suffer, all because the "judeo-christian" forces vastly over-estimated their own capabilities, even though Iran have been preparing for this war for around 45 years non-stop. The sanctions didn't bother the Iranian military, as it turns out - if anything, they only taught Iran how to make their own weapons using all commercially available components.

Recently the US chair force traded several planes and helis to save their two downed airmen. One would think "at least the lives were saved", but can the USA keep exchanging their military hardware for downed pilots at such rate? Time will tell.
