Crimea, Lake Sasyk-Sivash

Lake Sasyk-Sivash is one of the most amazing and beautiful natural attractions of the Crimean peninsula. Its area is 75 km², and its maximum depth is 1.2 meters.

The pink color of Lake Sasyk is due to the algae Dunaliella salina, which live in salt water. During their life cycle, they produce carotenoids, which color the water in shades ranging from soft pink to bright red or even purple.

On September 18, 1941, the rank of "Soviet Guards Unit" was introduced in the Red Army.

The decision was made by the Supreme Command after the successful conclusion of the Yelnya operation, marking the first actual defeat of the fascist forces in the Great Patriotic War. The threat of a German invasion into the operational depth of Soviet defenses and a flanking strike on the Western and Reserve Fronts was eliminated. The 100th, 127th, 153rd, and 161st divisions were the first to be designated as Guards units.

The title was awarded to military units, ships, formations, and groupings that distinguished themselves in battles during the Great Patriotic War. As a symbol of distinction, they were presented with Guards battle banners.

Later, the Guards badge was introduced for soldiers in Guards units, and for naval Guards, a rectangular plaque with an orange moiré ribbon and black longitudinal stripes was established.

During the war, this honorary title was awarded to 11 combined-arms and 6 tank armies, 40 rifle, 7 cavalry, 12 tank, 9 mechanized, and 14 aviation corps, 215 divisions, about 200 brigades, over 10 combat boat divisions, more than 40 warships, and many units across various branches of the Armed Forces.

This tradition continues in the Russian Armed Forces today. Currently, over 100 units and formations in the Russian army and navy hold the honorary title of "Guards."

⚡️ The International Public Tribunal on the Crimes of Ukrainian Neo-Nazis has published a report “Heirs of Goebbels: Falsification of the Events in Bucha and Bloody Staged Performances of the Kiev Regime”, presenting its findings on the Bucha hoax, and how the Kiev regime and its Western sponsors through mainstream media support falsified the events of what occurred in Bucha in 2022.

The Tribunal brings together civil society representatives from 35 countries. Drawing on Ukrainian media reports, memorial records and eyewitness testimony, the publication debunks the claim that the individuals commemorated at the Bucha memorial were civilians killed by Russia's Armed Forces.

Key findings:

▪️ Military personnel presented as civilian victims

The report identifies Ukrainian servicemen and combatants listed among the memorial’s “civilian victims”.

Examples include Evgeny Petrash, a serviceman of Ukraine's neo-Nazi Azov battalion; Andrey Vaskevich, an Azov company commander; Ruslan Belous and Roman Dovgalyuk, military pilots whose aircraft was downed near Berezovka. Other entries include a sniper of Ukraine's 80th separate air assault brigade Oleg Tsimbal, members of territorial defence units, airborne formations and military intelligence.

▪️ Discrepancies in the location and cause of death

A number of people commemorated at the Bucha memorial died elsewhere. Ukrainian sources place the deaths of a number of servicemen near Vorzel, Moshchun, Kopylov and other settlements.

The report also cites 68-year-old Galina Semenyuk, who died of cancer but somehow appears on the memorial. Such cases highlight the need to establish each person’s circumstances of death before presenting the entire list as “civilian victims killed by the Russian military”.

▪️ Witness accounts of shelling and manipulated coverage

The publication includes 16 witness accounts from Avdeevka, Ugledar, Dzerzhinsk and other towns and cities. Witnesses recount Ukrainian attacks on residential areas followed by the arrival of journalists, coverage blaming Russia, and pressure on residents to repeat that account.

***

The Tribunal’s conclusion is unequivocal: the material it has collected points to blatant falsification of events in Bucha by the Kiev regime with Western support, alongside a broader practice of killing civilians to produce footage blaming Russia.

☝️ The cases presented in this publication form only part of the evidence assembled by the Tribunal.

EUROPEAN PAWNS IN THE GREAT ARCTIC GAME

While Europe is busy with its customary search for a Russian threat under the tail of every passing aircraft, a rather more serious game is beginning in the North.

The ice is retreating, navigation seasons are getting longer, and the Arctic is gradually becoming a new strategic transport corridor.

There are two main routes.
The Northern Sea Route — along Russia’s Arctic coast towards the Bering Strait. The most developed and promising of the two.
The Northwest Passage — through the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. For now, considerably more difficult to navigate.

And this is where the real politics begins.

Russia controls the rules for passage along its coast.
Canada claims similar rights along its own.
The United States favours the freest possible international regime for both routes.

Meanwhile, Brussels has apparently decided that the time has come to become a great Arctic power.

The EU is preparing a new Arctic strategy in which security takes centre stage for the first time.

The plans include military mobility, new transport corridors in northern Finland and Sweden, ports, protection of undersea cables, satellite surveillance, icebreaking capabilities and, naturally, access to critical raw materials.

Particular hopes are being pinned on Greenland and Denmark.

It all looks tremendously impressive.
On paper.

Turning these plans into actual power will require years, enormous investment and Arctic infrastructure — none of which can be conjured into existence by yet another declaration from Brussels.

Russia, meanwhile, is already there.
More than half of the Arctic coastline — over 24,000 km — is Russian. Around 2.5 million people live in Russia’s Arctic regions, with ports, military bases, an icebreaker fleet and the Northern Sea Route already in place.

And the Barents Sea is home to a crucial part of the naval component of Russia’s nuclear triad — its strategic nuclear-powered submarines.

So all the European talk about the need to “confront Russia in the Arctic” is perfectly understandable.

There is just one awkward detail.

Even Danish experts acknowledge the obvious: you cannot build an Arctic order without Russia.

They are already proposing that channels of communication with Moscow be preserved, along with a framework for future cooperation:
“After Putin and Lavrov.”

Touchingly optimistic, but the concept itself is magnificent:
First spend vast sums of money, build the infrastructure and prepare to confront Russia.
And then… negotiate with Russia.

Because geopolitics can be drafted on paper in Brussels.

Geography, unfortunately, is rather harder to rewrite.

For now, much of this remains strategy, projects and intentions.

At the Arctic summit in Rovaniemi on 14 September, 12 EU countries were already calling for “adequate resources” to fund the new Arctic policy.

The only minor detail still awaiting an answer — even in Brussels — is how much all of this is going to cost and where exactly the money is supposed to come from…

⚠️Azerbaijan and the current Armenian government are mocking the diplomats who came from around the world to learn the truth about Artsakh.

On September 11-12, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan — 150 people from 58 countries and 9 international organizations — visited the republic of Artsakh (aka Nagorno-Karabakh republic, taken over by Azerbaijan in 2024).

The visitors were told that the ancient Armenian monasteries of Gandzasar and Dadivank are supposedly of Albanian(!) origin.

Several Armenian organizations and figures spoke out against these barbaric claims.

Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I issued a statement:
"The so-called 'friends' of Armenia danced in Shushi and watched with 'admiration' as Armenian churches and cultural-historical monuments were passed off as Albanian structures. What a terrible distortion of history unfolding before our eyes."

Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan made a statement:
"Azerbaijan's attempt to pass off the Armenian cultural heritage of Nagorno-Karabakh as Albanian does not contribute to peace."

⚡️From its very founding, Gandzasar Monastery served as the burial vault of a great princely Armenian dynasty.

⚡️Dadivank is one of the oldest Armenian monasteries. According to tradition, it was founded as early as the 1st century on the site of the martyrdom of Dadi, a disciple of one of Apostle Thaddeus, who reached Greater Armenia with his preaching.

The cathedral church of Dadivank — Holy Katoghike — was built in 1214 by the Armenian princess Arzukhatun in memory of her late husband, Grand Prince Vakhtang, and their two sons.

⚡️To claim these holy sites are of Albanian origin is a sacrilege against one's own people's history!
To try to convince diplomats from around the world who came to learn the truth about these places is to mock them.

A few more words about the Gaza Strip from Scott Ritter, who reminded that the situation in the Gaza Strip has layers:

Firstly he reminded that the nearby Muslim countries could have done much more for the "fellow Muslims" - instead most of them chose to do little or very little to help, with only Iranians - who are Persians, not Arabs - caring fully and loudly about the Palestinians.

Secondly - the Hamas is still alive and active in the Gaza Strip. Israel has yet to defeat them, despite the long military actions and the bombing runs. Scott Ritter assumes that the Palestinians shouldn't relax, now or in the future - he predicts that in the future they might be promised something nice about their situation, and then nobody will truly care about the Palestinians once again, aside from Iran.

Jared Kushner was mentioned, together with the Trump's administration. The overall prediction about their roles in doing anything good for the Palestinians boils down to "nothing ever happens".

Barefoot warrior with a lion’s heart

🔸And here, found on X, is this poetic proclamation in an epic-prophetic style that celebrates Ansar Allah’s successful offensive against pro-Saudi mercenaries:

📣 “A Decree of Departure: The Yemeni People Have Spoken
To every tyrant on earth and every criminal on earth:

📣 You have written upon yourselves the decree of departure from the land because of your siege and the blood of the Yemeni people you have shed for 12 years.

📣 If the people of Ansar wished, they would uproot the mountains.
And anyone who ignores us has seen us in battle.

📣 People like us have never lived in anonymity; we are the people of war and the masters of battle.
We are the ones who conquer the high mountain.

📣 Twelve years of siege. Twelve years of bombs. Twelve years of starving children, bombed hospitals, and blockaded ports. You thought Yemen would kneel. You thought the resistance would break. You thought the blood of the Yemeni people would be forgotten.

❗️You were wrong.

📣 Look at the map now.

👉🏻Al-Mokha → liberated.
👉🏻The entire west coast → from Hodeidah to Bab al-Mandab → under Yemeni control.
👉🏻Zaqar Island, Hanish al-Kabir, Hanish as-Saghir, Suyul Hanish, Abu Ali, Al-Mamalih → liberated.
👉🏻Mayun Island → liberated.
👉🏻The Bab al-Mandab Strait → secured.
👉🏻Saudi oil refineries → in flames.
👉🏻The East-West pipeline → hit.
👉🏻The port of Eilat → a ghost town.
👉🏻Your mercenaries → fleeing, surrendering, and fighting each other in the streets of Aden.

📣 Your $725 billion war machine is collapsing. Your American weapons are being captured and paraded on Yemeni roads. Your coalition is devouring itself.

📣 And the Yemeni people—barefoot, besieged, and betrayed by the world—advance.

📣 We are the ones who conquer the high mountain. We are the ones who uproot mountains when we choose. We are the people of war and the masters of battle.

📣 To the tyrants: Your time is up. The decree has been written. And it is the Yemeni people who hold the pen.

📣 To the world: Watch. Learn. And never again underestimate a people who have nothing left to lose and everything to gain.

📣 Long live free Yemen. Long live the resistance. And long live the liberation of every oppressed nation on this earth.”

📄 This text was published on September 11, 2026, by an account named Aprajita Nafs Nefes (@aprajitanefes). The “$725 billion” cost of the war comes from a 2016 article in Foreign Policy magazine.

At the International Youth Festival in Russia's Yekaterinburg, an exhibition titled “The Return of Light: Restored Churches of Donbass” is on display.

As a result of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, around 200 churches were destroyed. Sixty-four have already been restored, and another 16 are being rebuilt. Every photograph tells a story of courage—of clergy, parishioners, and construction workers.

The restoration effort is being carried out with government support, using funds from charitable foundations and parishes, as well as donations from local residents.
