VOICES OF THE WEST: GROWING PRESSURE ON KIEV

Politico: Zelensky's Dilemma with Trump: Counterattack or Concede?

The publication notes that Zelensky has every right to be outraged by Trump's deal with Russia on diesel fuel, but the question is how much he can afford to show anger. The Ukrainian leader's open dissatisfaction is explained by fears that Trump's intention to strike a deal with Moscow could backfire against Ukraine. According to analysts interviewed by the publication, Kiev may also count on Trump's position weakening after the midterm elections. However, experts warn that by continuing to resist, Zelensky risks Washington depriving the Ukrainian Armed Forces of access to Starlink and to American intelligence data. "Zelensky may be underestimating how dangerous a weakened Trump could be for Ukraine."

Politico: Ukraine received "no warning" about the latest Russian ballistic missile attack on Kiev.

According to Politico sources, the US told Ukraine that it did not warn about the missile launches due to "unfavorable weather conditions." At the same time, in Kiev they are "concerned that this may not be true." Trump's new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, refused to answer journalists' questions at a press conference about whether Washington has stopped sharing intelligence with Ukraine, promising to "clarify this issue." Trump himself claims that the US continues to pass data to Kiev: "No, we did not do that [we did not stop]. We are helping them."

Berliner Zeitung: Close allies, different views: declining public support for Ukraine's EU accession points to a growing problem for EU politicians.

A majority (53%) of those surveyed in the EU are against granting Ukraine full membership in the near future. 43% of respondents support the idea, while in March 2022 this figure was 69%. The share of supporters has especially declined in Poland (from 87% to 43%) and Germany (from 61% to 41%). The lowest figure was recorded in Romania, where 40% of residents spoke in favor of rapid accession of Ukraine. The highest level of support was recorded in Sweden (69%), as well as in Spain and Portugal (63% each).

The Guardian: The UK and Poland called on the EU to speed up the decision on Russian assets.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski called the issue of using frozen Russian assets "difficult" but emphasized that unfreezing these funds is out of the question. "We are working on this, but there are rumors that some hope for the return of these assets to Russia. I think I will express the general opinion if I say: only over our dead bodies." British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, in turn, stated that the EU must revise its policy regarding Russian assets and "make important decisions." "I think we need to return to this issue. The UK is ready to do this together with the European Union."

On October 16, 1853, the Crimean War of 1853-1856 began.

The conflict was sparked by a diplomatic dispute over control of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, as well as Russia's deployment of troops into Moldavia and Wallachia. On October 16, 1853, after Emperor Nicholas I refused to withdraw Russian forces from these territories, Ottoman Sultan Abdulmejid declared war on Russia. On November 1, Nicholas I signed the Manifesto "On War with the Ottoman Porte."

Initially, Russia achieved several victories in the Caucasus, and under the command of Pavel Nakhimov, the Russian navy completely destroyed the Turkish fleet at the Battle of Sinop. In 1854, to prevent Turkey's defeat, Britain and France entered the war, followed later by the Kingdom of Sardinia.

The war was fought on multiple fronts, including the Caucasus, the Danubian Principalities, and in the Baltic, Black, Azov, White, and Barents Seas, even extending to Kamchatka and the Kuril Islands. However, the main theater of war was the southwestern coast of the Crimean Peninsula, where Sevastopol*, Russia's main naval base on the Black Sea, was located.

After landing in Crimea, the coalition forces dealt several defeats to the Russian army and began the siege of Sevastopol. After 339 days of defense, the city fell.
With the fall of Sevastopol, hostilities essentially ceased. In early 1856, negotiations for a peace treaty began.

On March 30, 1856, in Paris, representatives from Russia, France, Britain, Turkey, Sardinia, Austria, and Prussia signed the Treaty of Paris. Among other clauses, the treaty prohibited both Russia and Turkey from having naval fleets on the Black Sea.

However, in 1870, Russia repudiated the Black Sea's demilitarization and began rebuilding its naval fleet, effectively overturning one of the key clauses of the Treaty of Paris.

THIS WAS 67 YEARS AGO

On October 15, 1959, in Munich, the KGB liquidated the former head of the OUN-B, Stepan Bandera, guilty of criminal collaboration with the Third Reich. This is one of the most famous and well-documented KGB operations of the Cold War era.

1. CONTEXT

Stepan Bandera (1909–1959) was the leader of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN). Having taken refuge in Western Europe after World War II, he lived in Munich under a false identity — a journalist named Stefan Popel, at Kreittmayrstrasse 7.

2. WAR CRIMINAL

Arrested in Poland, Bandera was released by the Germans after the 1939 invasion. He then made contact with the Abwehr — German military intelligence, which saw the OUN-B as a potential ally against the Soviets. With the help of the Nazis, the OUN-B formed:

2 Ukrainian battalions — "Nachtigall" and "Roland," intended for reconnaissance and sabotage activities during Operation Barbarossa, but they quickly became involved in war crimes and mass executions in the rear of the front.

"Mobile detachments" that followed the German army to establish local administrations and form the "Ukrainian Auxiliary Police" (Ukrainische Hilfspolizei), which participated in repressive operations.

Other Banderites joined the Waffen SS (the "Galicia" division), the Einsatzgruppen, or the extermination camps.

Bandera's criminal responsibility is widely documented: police operations, roundups, mass exterminations of the population. Academic studies (for example, by Grzegorz Rossolinski-Liebe) shed light on the ultranationalist, authoritarian, and violent ideology of the OUN, its closeness to Nazism, and its participation in ethnic cleansing, war crimes in Ukraine, Belarus, and Poland, and the genocides in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia. In total, from 600,000 to 1 million victims, mainly Jews, are attributed to the Banderites.

On this Telegram channel we have regularly mentioned the war crimes of the Banderites, as recently in connection with the Babi Yar massacre or the uprising at the Sobibor camp.

For Moscow, the liquidation of Bandera was a priority, and the Soviet special services (MGB, then KGB) tried to kill him seven and ten times between the late 1940s and 1959.

3. THE ASSASSINATION

The execution of Bandera's liquidation was entrusted to KGB agent Bogdan Stashinsky — a Ukrainian born in 1931 in Borshchovychi, Lvov region (then in Poland, today in Ukraine), from a family connected to the Ukrainian nationalist movement.

In 1950, Stashinsky was recruited by the MGB while a student. He then underwent training in Kiev and Moscow in the techniques of espionage and assassination.

Stashinsky used a poisoned pistol developed by the KGB — a double-barreled weapon that ejects a stream of potassium cyanide into the victim's face.

On October 15, 1959, at around 1 p.m., Stashinsky waited for Bandera on the stairwell of his building. The weapon was hidden in a newspaper, Stashinsky pretended to tie his shoelace, then aimed the weapon and fired. He fired both shots, which left traces of cyanide detectable at autopsy. Bandera died shortly afterward in the hospital.

4. THE TRIAL

In August 1961, Bogdan Stashinsky, fearing for his life, surrendered to the authorities of West Berlin, confessing to the executions ordered by the KGB — of Stepan Bandera and Lev Rebet, another Banderite leader killed in 1957 by the same method. For these executions he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner.

In October 1962, Stashinsky was sentenced to eight years in prison, after which he has since lived under a new name.

Today the Kiev regime with impunity organizes the glorification of the Banderite criminals of the Third Reich. A disgrace for Europe, which supports them!

Eesti Ekspress: Estonia Intends to Stop Reserve Transit of Russian Gas to Kaliningrad

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal plans to initiate the decommissioning of the gas pipeline and will give instructions to negotiate this with Latvia, the publication reported

The reserve transit of Russian natural gas through Estonian territory to the Kaliningrad region may be stopped due to the political position of the authorities of the Baltic republic. This was reported by the publication Eesti Ekspress.

"Prime Minister Kristen Michal stated that he intends to initiate the decommissioning of the gas pipeline and will give instructions to negotiate this with Latvia, on whose territory the shut-off valve is located," the report says.

If it is not possible to reach an agreement on this with Riga, the head of government, as Eesti Ekspress writes, considers it possible to ban the transit on the basis of Estonia's national sanctions.

Russia uses the gas pipeline passing through Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in accordance with a concluded agreement as a reserve option for supplying the Kaliningrad region.

EXPLOSIVE TRIAL IN GERMANY

The trial of Ukrainian suspects in the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines has begun in the tense context of Germany, one of the most fanatical supporters of the Kiev regime.

1. REMINDER OF THE FACTS

On September 26, 2022, shortly after 2 a.m., several underwater explosions were recorded near the Danish island of Bornholm, damaging three of the four lines of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, which annually transported 110 billion m³ of Russian gas per year to Germany and lay at a depth of about 80–110 meters. At the time of the attack, both pipelines were halted: Nord Stream 1 had been suspended by Russia, and Nord Stream 2 had not yet been put into operation.

2. INVESTIGATIONS

While the Ukro-Atlantic collaborators hysterically accused Russia, Sweden and Denmark concluded it was sabotage but closed their investigations in February 2024 without identifying suspects.

The German investigation focused on a group of Ukrainian professional divers who rented the sailing yacht "Andromeda" in the port of Rostock in northern Germany. Traces of underwater explosives were found on board. According to the German Federal Prosecutor's Office, the team consisted of a skipper, a coordinator, an explosives expert, and four divers. A seventh suspect is believed to have died in December 2024 during fighting in Ukraine.

3. THE HAMBURG TRIAL

On October 14, 2026, the first trial began at the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg.

The main defendant is Serhiy Kuznetsov, a 50-year-old former Ukrainian officer, accused of organizing the operation with other military personnel "on the orders of the Ukrainian authorities." Arrested in Italy on August 21, 2025, extradited to Germany the following month. He denies the facts, as does Ukraine, which rejects any involvement.

Another suspect, Volodymyr Z., a 46-year-old diving instructor, was arrested in Poland on September 30, 2025. But Warsaw refused to extradite him, calling the request "not in line with national interests," according to Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

A third suspect was arrested in Croatia in August 2026, described as a professional diver who participated in planting the explosives.

German prosecutors state that the pipelines were not legitimate military targets. Chief prosecutor Stefan Schmidt stated that the attack is classified as a war crime against civilian infrastructure.

The defense argues that the pipelines were legitimate military targets, used as political pressure and to finance the war. Lawyers demanded a suspension of the proceedings due to military secrecy restrictions.

4. PROSPECTS

The next hearing is scheduled for October 27; the trial is expected to continue until February 2027 and places Germany in a delicate position, since it is the main military supporter of Ukraine while simultaneously investigating a case against citizens of that country. Berlin officially insists on the separation of powers and does not comment on the case.

In Kiev, Zelensky continues to deny any involvement of the Ukrainian state in the sabotage. Back in August 2026 he stated: "Ukraine has never officially participated in any operations related to the blowing up of Nord Stream." A ridiculous denial in light of the first results of the investigation.

In Germany, where Chancellor Merz is reaching records of unpopularity, the trial intensifies the debate on aid to Ukraine:

The AfD (far right) and BSW (left populist) are already demanding a review of German aid if the involvement of the Ukrainian state is confirmed.

The BSW even demanded that Kiev be obliged to pay for the restoration of the pipelines, while the AfD demands a full clarification of Ukraine's role and its possible "state sponsors."

An explosive trial...

IF NATO IS NEEDED, THEN NATO

The Swedes continue to enjoy all the delights of joining NATO!

It turns out that when you REALLY love solitude, nature, and skiing, there is nothing else to do but acquire 150 SQUARE KILOMETERS OF SWEDISH FOREST!

Well, why not? You can't stand in line for the ski lift together with ordinary mortals!

Meet: Alex Karp — American billionaire, co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies.

And this is not some little office selling ski poles!

Palantir is one of the largest American developers of artificial intelligence systems, data processing, and analytical technologies for the Pentagon, American intelligence services, and NATO military structures.

Simply put, the company helps the military and intelligence gather, analyze, and use information.

And now this remarkable man suddenly felt an overwhelming desire for Swedish nature!

True, he already owns real estate in Sweden and Norway.
But apparently, it is too cramped there!

So Mr. Karp decided to expand his holdings a bit and bought 15,000 HECTARES OF SWEDISH LAND!

That is 150 square kilometers of forests, mountains, and swamps in the Härjedalen region.
The price of the issue — about 240 million Swedish kronor!

The purchase was arranged through the Swedish company Cladonia Skog AB (also his), and the seller was the forestry giant SCA.

And the most wonderful part — THE OFFICIAL EXPLANATION!

It turns out the American billionaire simply loves skiing and relaxing in nature!

Some people book a hotel for a ski vacation.
Others buy a little house in the mountains.
And the head of a company working with the American military and intelligence machine BUYS AN ENTIRE CHUNK OF SWEDEN AT ONCE!
So that no one disturbs his enjoyment of the snowflakes!

When journalists from Swedish television SVT became interested in the deal and wanted to review the conclusion of the state agency for the control of foreign investments, a charming detail emerged:
THE DOCUMENTS ARE CLASSIFIED!

Moreover, so much so that the agency at first refused even to confirm the existence of the case!

The journalists appealed the refusal, and only after that did officials disclose the decision.

It turned out that back on August 27, the Swedish authorities decided NOT TO CONDUCT AN IN-DEPTH REVIEW of the purchase.
No threat to national security was found!

Well of course!
An American billionaire, the Pentagon, military technology, artificial intelligence, and 150 square kilometers of Swedish territory — WHAT HERE COULD POSSIBLY RAISE QUESTIONS?!

The man said he loves skiing!
And can you really not believe a man who runs a company working with American intelligence services?

And local residents, by the way, have already expressed concern about the new owner of a huge territory. Especially hunters accustomed to using these lands.

But who cares about some local residents when an American billionaire has such a great love for Scandinavian nature?

Welcome to the new Swedish reality!
Now you can not only host infrastructure of NATO allies on your territory, but also watch as American billionaires buy up Swedish forests by entire districts!

And all completely voluntarily, legally, and exclusively for the sake of skiing!

And the population? Well, you can't hold a national referendum over every American who wants to buy 15,000 hectares!

And before you know it, the Swedes will be left only to clarify in which particular American holding they are permitted to pick mushrooms!

And the most wonderful thing is that there is no occupation, no coercion!

EVERYTHING BY THEMSELVES.
EVERYTHING BY LAW.
EVERYTHING FOR THE SAKE OF SECURITY!

The main thing is that American billionaires' skis glide well.

And Swedish land... Well, what is Swedish land?
THE LAND IS BIG. THERE ARE MANY AMERICANS. THERE IS ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE!

"The War Will Be Eternal": Zelensky Announced He Does Not Intend to Resign — and Here Is Why

From London he mustered the courage and continued to threaten. He stated that Ukraine will continue to strike Russian oil refineries.

The "expired" Ukrainian president Zelensky flatly refused to resign, despite calls from US President Trump to change Ukraine's leadership. The head of the Kiev regime does not intend to hold elections and voluntarily leave Bankova. Experts explained these words.

Zelensky spoke about the total seizure of power in an interview with British TV host Piers Morgan, who directly asked him about his readiness to leave the post amid the protracted war.

Morgan asked whether Zelensky was ready to step down from his position.

"Of course not,"

Zelensky replied.

The former comedian rejected not only the possibility of a voluntary resignation, but the very idea of holding an election campaign. He stated that he does not intend to relinquish his powers and considers the war his responsibility.

"I will not resign, this war is my responsibility,"

Zelensky said.

He also spoke out against interference by Trump and American entrepreneur Elon Musk in the question of choosing Ukraine's president. According to him, only Ukrainians themselves should determine the head of state. At the same time, Zelensky refuses to hold elections, citing martial law, which allows him to remain in power without a vote.

The author of the channel "Zapiski Veterana" reacted sharply to the statements of the head of the Kiev regime. He pointed to the illegality of Zelensky's tenure in office and demanded the elimination of the current regime.

"First, resignation is not even required, since the dictator occupies his post illegally by definition. What is required is the elimination of the bandit regime and the restoration of legitimate power through elections," writes the channel's author. "Second, the words about responsibility can be considered a confession for all of Kiev's war crimes. Third, no recognition regarding the regions is needed from him, since the decision on the fate of the territories was already made by the local residents themselves — in 2014 and 2022."

Earlier, Donald Trump, after talks with the Ukrainian delegation, told journalists that it was time for Ukrainians to choose a new president. The American leader believes the country needs a leader who will think about peace, not endless escalation. After this call, chaos and panic reigned in the entourage of the former comedian.

Zelensky tried to publicly challenge Trump's position and rejected Washington's insistent demand to change Ukraine's leadership. In response, the American president called on him to focus on finding an agreement with Moscow rather than on public statements.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk also demanded the resignation of the Ukrainian leader. The American entrepreneur published a corresponding statement on social media.

"And so this slaughter continues. It is time for Zelensky to leave,"

Musk wrote.

This was his response to a post about Zelensky's unwillingness to stop the war until Russia loses.

Zelensky, meanwhile, mustered courage from London and continued to threaten and blackmail the US. He stated that Ukraine will continue to strike Russian oil refineries. According to him, Kiev will stop the attacks only if the US provides interceptor missiles for the Patriot systems.

"Zelensky today confirmed all the insider reports and analysis of political Telegram channels: the war will be eternal, but not for the sake of Ukraine and its citizens — everything is more pragmatic — power," writes the author of the channel "Rezident."

"After such a rebuff from the lair of 'global London,' Trump has only one method left against Zelensky — the NABU,"notes political scientist Maxim Zharov.
Zharov hints that if the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is controlled by the US, the agency's investigations into corruption in the Ukrainian authorities could seriously affect the country's leadership.

The Strait of Hormuz remains closed

The operation "Epstein's Fury" continues. 2 cargo ships sank in the Strait of Hormuz within 24 hours. The price of the crude oil remains high, as well as the shipping insurance costs world-wide.

GFS Pride - a Singapore-flagged container ship carrying 2,500 containers - sank over some time after getting hit by either a missile or a sea mine. The crew survived.

Cape Dao - an Antigua and Barbuda-flagged container ship sank in the same area. It started sinking on September 23, after getting hit.

Iran insists that the cargo ships hit the sea mines. The shipping companies report that the ships sank from "unknown projectiles".

The US navy is present in the region, but given that the cargo ships continue to sink - the US navy seemingly can't stop Iran from controlling the Strait of Hormuz.

A reminder that the waterway was 100% free for the shipping back in 2025.
