Coming Soon on Global Stage:
Rolling Blackout of German
Economy

In his interview with German international media giant Deutsche Welle, former head of Gazprom Oil’s Strategy and Innovation Department, Sergei Vakulenko, tried to 'reassure' German citizens that Germany would not freeze up without Russian natural gas.

He only mentioned that without Russian natural gas in Germany, "some industries, especially the energy-intensive ones, will come to a standstill

Olaf Scholz is frantically eliminating the businesses, which consume high amounts of gas, not taking into account that these businesses are the heart and soul of the German industries that have driven Germany’s economic success and global influence for at least six decades — businesses like Volkswagen and BASF.
Every day it becomes clearer and clearer that Western Europe’s economic success has been driven in large part by reliable, affordable access to Russian natural resources. Yet it seems that today’s Europeans even now do not yet comprehend the consequences of arrogantly cutting off the lifeblood of their own economies.

They puff up their chests, declare the referenda in Donetsk, Lughansk, Zaporozhe, and Kherson “illegitimate”, and self-righteously declare their own belief in democracy, all while turning fire hoses and even firearms against their own people who dare to protest in Germany, Italy, and Holland.
We tried our best - you know the rest!

⚡️ It is an economic war against Germany. ⚡️
Sarah Wagenknecht, German politician, PhD in economics, analyses the current situation.

The slogans "Putin cannot win on the battlefield or in an economic war" are disproved by European economies data graphs compiled by Goldman Sachs and published in The Economist. The recession of the economies of Europe and especially Germany is vivid.

The opposite is happening in Russia's economy, despite the sanctions, or maybe thanks to them.
Is it an economic war against Russia or against Europe, Europeans ask themselves?

❗️🇮🇳 "We have a moral duty to our consumers. We have a population of 1.34 billion people."

Indian Oil and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said in an interview with CNN that the interests of his people are important to him, and he is not going to politicize the economic needs of his country.
Oil purchases are handled by private companies, not the ministry, so India has no problems with oil purchases in Russia.

⚡️🇪🇺🇺🇸The graph shows a demonstration of the robbery of Europe by an overseas ally.

In this picture, the Bank for International Settlements shows us HOW.

The red is Europe. The blue is the U.S.
The solid line is industry. The dotted line is households.

And all in all, these are electricity prices. More precisely, the price index. Where 100 is the level of 2019.

It is good to have a good friend and ally. Such as the United States. They say there was a gynecologist somewhere yesterday who was outraged. And even called for something.

The salmon must flow...

Jokes aside - the same side that spent decades making sure the whole planet is globalized in everything related to economy now is being shocked that the Russian fish can be found on European tables. Same with other products from the Eastern Bloc - the food there is cheap, so it finds a way to the western customers that have more money to spend. Yes, the EU peasants are getting poorer and poorer by the day, but they got used to pay two, three, and even four times more for food than someone from Minsk or Moscow.

There is a phrase I hear quite often - "Donald Trump listens to the last person he spoke with". Given this characteristic, some people in the White House use the Bad Orange Man to manipulate the markets - and given what I keep seeing, Donald Trump is surprisingly easy to control. This is my guess based on the observation of Trump's social media posts, that go from "Iran will be destroyed!" to "Iran is negotiating peace, war will be over very soon", and then back to the posts about the total war against Iran.

I think this behavior of the USA will motivate the rest of the planet to double their efforts in isolating themselves economically from the USA. Once Donald Trump is out of the office - what stops those "market manipulators" (most of whom, I am sure, have Israeli citizenship) to simply keep doing what they are doing?

Quite ironic how the USA went from one senile, easily manipulated president to an another senile, easily manipulated president. Nothing ever happens, truly.

UAE, OPEC, oil

Meanwhile in the Middle East things are getting more interesting. The United Arab Emirates have officially announced their withdrawal from OPEC and the wider OPEC+ alliance - which surprised and annoyed their 'best friends' in the oil business, the Saudis. The UAE's exit, effective May 1st, 2026, ends their nearly 60-year membership in the oil cartel - the one that decides how much money per barrel of oil all other countries must pay.

Officially, the UAE are simply doing their best in these difficult times. Unofficially - who knows. Maybe they got tired from the meddling of the royal Saudi family. Maybe the UAE always wanted a bit more profit, and now they see such opportunity. Maybe the whole OPEC will fall apart, and they'll sell oil cheaply from now on. Time will show.

The oil crisis continues

The Strait of Hormuz is still closed. The oil and gas - about 20% and 50% of total global export - can't reach the global markets.

The oil refineries are idling, the synthetic fertilizer factories have reduced their production, the mining and metal industries have to scale down their activities, the flying and ground cargo carrying vehicles have much less fuel which slows down everything and everyone, etc etc - you know how it goes.

The CEO of Saudi Aramco - an oil corporation - recently spoke about this matter. In short - he shrugged his shoulders, blamed Iran for everything, and added that things will only get worse as long as the waterway remains closed.

Funny how the Strait of Hormuz was open right before the operation "Epstein Fury" started. Almost makes me wonder if this was the goal of the war in the first place.

Turkish top agent in Armenia

Nikol Pashinyan must be the best Turkish agent deployed abroad, by a large margin. He is laser-focused on burning Armenian's ties to their biggest market - Russia - in return for promises of the EU to accept this tiny Christian country sandwiched between Muslim Turkey and Muslim Azerbaijan into the EU.

The EU gave Armenia €50 million as an urgent economic aid. Meaning the EU expects the returns, as the EU always does.

Armenia still has 35% of their total trade related to Russia. That is a lot of money that Nikol Pashnyan is willing to burn for the good relations with the EU. And since he doesn't burn his personal money - he simply doesn't care about the future of Armenia in case everything doesn't go according to the EU-related plans.

The EU is already lending money to Ukraine for 4 years by now. Even if the EU really wanted to keep Armenia financially afloat - the EU simply can't do that.

Pashinyan works for Turkey - I just can't prove it yet.

🧀The cheese embargo: the birth of a new industry

⚡️Until 2014, the Russian cheese market was flooded with imports: Dutch Gouda, Italian Parmesan, French Camembert. Local producers only held a share in the segment of melted cheeses and inexpensive semi-hard pastas. Everything changed with the 2014 food embargo - the import of cheeses from the EU and the United States was banned.

⚡️Modernization in Russia proceeded along two axes. On the one hand, large agro-industrial groups invested billions in new factories and the renovation of existing facilities, focusing on mass-market semi-hard pastas. On the other hand, small artisanal cheese makers took a gamble on the high-end segment: bloomy-rind or blue-mold cheeses, aged hard pastas, Italian and French varieties that were previously hardly produced in Russia.

⚡️The main technological challenge turned out to be lactic ferments, which had until then been imported from Europe. Russian institutes developed their own ferments, adapted to local raw materials and the climate. At the same time, domestic manufacturers of cheese equipment developed, reducing dependence on Italian and German lines.

⚡️Russian cheese then turned to exports - to the CIS countries, China, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia.

⚡️The losses for European breeders were considerable: the sudden loss of the lucrative Russian market led to stock surpluses and the need, at great cost, to find new outlets. EU compensations did not cover all the damage, and many farms never regained their previous production volumes.

⚡️The 2014 embargo acted as a catalyst for the creation of an entire industry. In ten years, Russia has gone from being dependent on imported cheeses to ranking fifth in the world in production volume, and continues to increase its pace.

This is what sanctions against Russia lead to 😉

The Sand War continues.

The 6-month-long war between the USA and Iran has intensified over the past 48 hours.

The CENTCOM broke a month-long lull by launching "self-defense strikes" against missile launchers and naval assets on Larak Island and coastal towns.

Iran launched missiles and drones at the US military bases in the Middle East - in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq.

Long story short - the Sand War is at a hot phase again. Brent is $95 per barrel. Trump is making loud statements about a total annihilation of Iran again, and Iran refuses to negotiate at all.

Meanwhile the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, and the sailors stuck in there are probably experts of the Middle Eastern politics by now, given how much time they had to study how it works over there.

The new active phase of hostilities will ensure the prices will remain high. How joyous.

The Sand War continues.

The quick war against Iran made the Brent crude solidify at $100 per barrel, remaining roughly 30% above pre-war figures - before the whole Operation Epstein Fury began.

The oil is expensive due to the near-total halt of commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz - despite repeated statements from Donald Trump that everything is open.

Iran's counter-actions made the traffic slow, and Iran's own oil exports went from 1.7 million to 100,000 barrels per day - which makes the prices higher.

Meanwhile Donald Trump ignores the main reason of the current fuel prices, and blames the blue states and Ukraine.

I wish this Sand War would end already - if the waterway remains closed, the prices on everything will only get higher.
