In a brutal act of violence, forces under the command of Abu Muhammad al-Jolani—Public Security and Defense Ministry units—murdered the infant Celine Zaid Garz Aldeen (3 months old) and her mother Walaa Ghassan Garz Aldeen.
Celine had known nothing in this world except her small blanket, which she died wrapped in, while her diaper lay next to her little body—a grim witness to the bloodshed.
The bullets of Al-Jolani’s forces spared neither the cries of the infant nor the embrace of the mother.
This crime places the international community under an urgent moral and legal responsibility and constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity.
🔴 We call for an independent international investigation and the prosecution of those responsible, including Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, before international justice.

Ballard personally visited sites of destruction, witnessed locations of massacres, listened to eyewitness testimonies, and visited burned and demolished homes, learning firsthand the stories of the kidnapped and displaced.
This visit takes place as Suwayda continues to suffer under a harsh #Blockade, deprived of #Food, #Medicine, and #Electricity, simply because its people reject #Terrorism and demand #Freedom and #Democracy for all Syrians.
#Humanity is one — it cannot be divided or defined by color or faith.
During his visit, Ballard met with Father #TonyBoutros and Father #NicolasWaqas, representatives of the #MelkiteGreekCatholic and #GreekOrthodox Churches in the province.
The meeting was marked by an atmosphere of #Love and #NationalUnity, as the two priests delivered a deeply moving message reflecting the strong #BondsOfBrotherhood among Suwayda’s communities:
“In #Suwayda, there is no difference between #Christian and #Druze; we were one family in times of peace, and today we remain one family in adversity.
Christ taught us that whoever serves our smallest brothers and sisters serves #Christ Himself.
We are the children of this land, united by #Love, #Knowledge, and #Freedom. We reject #Violence and call for #RespectForHumanLife.
Peace cannot be made with #Criminals, nor should nations be weighed on the scales of #PoliticalInterests.
And since President #Trump calls for peace in the world today, we remind him that true peace can only be achieved with the free.
We thank you for your #Humility and #Compassion, and we ask for God’s blessing upon you — in the name of the #Father, the #Son, and the #HolySpirit.”
