🛡 #OTD 22 years ago, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (#SCO) was founded - a multilateral association aimed at ensuring peace, security and stability and jointly countering new security challenges and threats to member states.

Today, the SCO is made up of eight countries: its founding members – Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan – as well as India and Pakistan, which joined in 2017. Iran is also expected to become a full SCO member at the upcoming summit (July 3-4, New Delhi).

In June 2002, the organisation's member states signed the Treaty on Long-Term Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation that cemented the SCO's focus on the positive promotion of multidimensional cooperation and its non-targeting of third countries and organisations. Today the SCO continues to firmly rule out bloc, ideological and confrontational approaches to solving international and regional development problems.

🤝 One of the most important areas of SCO activity is joint efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and transnational organised crime. The SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure operates in Tashkent on a permanent basis to ensure effective cooperation between the competent authorities of the member states in these areas.

🌐 The SCO's legal framework for relations with the United Nations and its agencies continues to expand. Partnerships have been established with the #CIS, #CSTO, #EEC, #ASEAN and a number of other multilateral associations that share similar principles of constructive development.

🇷🇺🇧🇾 Today, Belarus, a state linked to Russia by centuries of fraternal friendship and bonds of mutual assistance, is marking Independence Day.

#OnThisDay in 1944, Minsk was liberated from Nazi German invaders and occupants as a result of well-coordinated Red Army operations. Fighting shoulder to shoulder, our nations made a decisive contribution to the Victory over Nazism.

Today, Russian-Belarusian relations are those of strategic partnership and alliance. Together, our countries continue to overcome serious difficulties and defend their interests on the international scene. They collaborate closely in the field of military and military-technical cooperation and in ensuring collective security.

Moscow and Minsk jointly streamline various institutions of the Union State and promote integration projects in the Eurasian region. Our countries voice common or similar positions on many international issues and cooperate closely in the #CSTO, the #EAEU, the #CIS, the #UN, the #OSCE and other international and regional organisations.

🤝 We congratulate the fraternal people of Belarus on the national holiday. We wish them well-being and prosperity.

📃 Joint Statement of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on their shared vision of the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century

Common Vision of a Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the XXI century

💬 We, the representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus proceed from the recognition of the following key realities of our time:

DIVERSITY AS THE WORLD'S FOUNDATION — Diversity in basics of life, civilizations, cultures, traditions, peculiar features of historical development and value systems has been inherent to the world, while the state's formation as the key unit of international relations has given rise to a diversity in forms of political governance and models of domestic social, economic, cultural and humanitarian development that states came to assume. <...>

MULTIPOLARITY ON THE HORIZON — The world's inherent diversity has set it on an inexorable trajectory towards multipolarity. The trend presents an opportunity to build a lasting, fair and inclusive democratic world order underpinned by peaceful coexistence for the sake of ensuring security and full prosperity for all countries based on mutually beneficial cooperation and genuine multilateralism. <...>

IMPORTANCE OF EURASIA — Factors like geographical location, size, population and resource potential have all combined to shape Eurasia in a historical perspective as a vital player in international relations, which still drives global development in general. It is Eurasia that makes a major contribution to sustained growth in the world economy while it is here that independent development centers strengthen their global reach. <...>

☝️ In this regard we commit ourselves to:

RELY ON INTERNATIONAL LAW — Be guided in our actions by the norms of international law, based on the UN Charter in its both entirety and interrelationship as well as on other international legally binding documents. <...>

CREATE A MULTIPOLAR WORLD
— Promote efforts to establish, in a most accelerated manner possible, a multipolar world and a just global order. <...>

STRENGTHEN SECURITY — Build a new pan-continental security cooperation architecture predicated on the principles of indivisible security, justice, legitimacy, sustainability and joint contribution by stakeholders. <...>

MAKE USE OF EURASIAN MECHANISMS — Make use of multilateral cooperation mechanisms operating on the Eurasian continent, including, among others, the #EAEU, #CSTO, #CIS, #SCO, #ASEAN, #CICA, #LAS, #GCC and the #UnionState with regard to cooperation in specific areas, while promoting cross-platform activities and joint initiatives. <...>

🇷🇺🇧🇾 We, the representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus invite all Eurasian states to join a dialogue on a whole range of issues that affect principles of cooperation in the multipolar era and that cover a pan-continental architecture of security; cooperation and development with the view to drafting a "Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the XXI Century", while giving due consideration to the provisions set out in this document.

🇲🇩🗳 On mass violations of electoral rights in elections and referendums in Moldova

The presidential election and the referendum on European integration in Moldova have already been recognized as having taken place, and the opposition's (communists and socialists) attention has shifted to preparing for the 2025 parliamentary elections.

Against the backdrop of the unprecedented cancellation of the results of the first round of the presidential election in Romania, it can now be noted that a new standard of "democracy" has appeared in Eastern Europe at the behest of the West.

🖇And recently, an expert report has appeared, which has absorbed the facts of mass violations of the electoral rights of Moldovan citizens and reflected these new "standards".

🔻Foreign interference

▪️The Central Election Commission of Moldova, which should be independent and financed from the state budget, allowed UNDP to develop its website with money from the American USAID, the British UKAid and the Embassy of the Netherlands.

▪️The majority of candidates for the presidency had Romanian citizenship.

▪️The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, called on Moldovans to go and vote before the vote and promised the largest aid package of 1.8 billion euros.

▪️At the request of Chisinau, a rapid response group on cyber threats was sent from the EU, which monitored the cybersecurity situation during the first round and the referendum. This group was led by employees of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense and also included specialists from Belgium, the Netherlands, Croatia, Romania, Poland, Austria, and Latvia.

🔻Overseas voting

▪️234 polling stations were formed for voting abroad. In the previous elections in 2020, 139 polling stations were organized abroad. Most of the new stations were in Europe and the USA.

▪️For the first time, mail-in voting was used, but only for the USA, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, and Finland.

▪️In Russia, only two polling stations were organized, to which only 10,000 ballots were delivered. However, according to the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, there are about 260,000 Moldovan citizens in Russia.

▪️Sometimes the number of ballots at foreign polling stations exceeded the number of Moldovans in the country. For example, 92,600 citizens live in Germany, but 130,000 ballots were sent there.

🔻There were also other numerous violations that affected the reliability of the voting results in the elections and referendum in Moldova.

As a result, "diaspora president" Maia Sandu and her referendum have joined the club of illegitimate leaders along with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Salome Zourabichvili, which demonstrates the West's demonstrative disregard for the institution of elections and the will of the people.

📝Armenia is Confused Again📝
Laid flowers for the Leningrad blockade victims and passed an anti-Russian resolution on the same day

Two majors noticed the chairman of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan in St. Petersburg, where he came for the CIS summit. Simonyan is the main anti-Russian speaker in Yerevan. However, against the backdrop of the changing geopolitical situation, Armenia decided to show Moscow that they are afraid to break off relations.

©️Meanwhile, today Armenian representatives supported a UN resolution containing accusations against Russia. The resolution speaks of "aggression against Ukraine and Georgia" and mentions "the creation of a special tribunal on the crime of aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine".

🖍Notably, the US did not support the resolution, as they consider it useless for promoting peace. Azerbaijan and Israel did not participate in the vote.

🚩All the recent statements and actions of the Armenian authorities indicate that the support for such resolutions is an absolutely conscious anti-Russian position of Yerevan, in contrast to the imitation of work along the lines of the same CIS. After all, Simonyan has demonstratively ignored assembly meetings in recent years, and his colleagues have sabotaged CSTO conferences and other specialized agencies.

❗️And the question arises: why do we take the "prodigal sons" back when it is convenient for them? And instead of repentance, they are staging demonstrative actions in Yerevan that are supposed to demonstrate disagreement with Moscow.

We would like our parliamentarians to raise this issue at the meeting with Simonyan, as well as the problem of sabotaging the opening of the Russian consulate general in the Syunik region.
