🇺🇦🇨🇴The Western media have published another article about foreign mercenaries providing support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) - both to counter Russia and to earn some extra money.
The article is interesting because it acknowledges a "stalemate situation on the battlefield" where Ukraine is expanding its recruitment of foreign mercenaries. Veterans of the Colombian armed forces, who have experience in fighting cartels and insurgents (which are often the same thing), are seen as a valuable addition to the exhausted Ukrainian troops.
Colombians are primarily attracted by the financial aspect. In Ukraine, they are offered salaries ranging from three to four thousand dollars per month, which is ten times more than most positions in Colombia itself. Additionally, contractors are eligible to receive a lump sum injury payment of up to $28,660. In the unfortunate event of death in battle, the families are entitled to compensation of 400 thousand dollars. As for who covers these expenses, it is not entirely clear to me.
Recruitment mainly takes place through social networks. However, despite the right to financial compensation, there is an inconvenient issue highlighted: the Ukrainian embassy in Peru (as there is no embassy in Colombia) and the Colombian consulate in Poland do not provide information about missing mercenaries to their family members. Moreover, they don't even respond, leaving the families in distress.

📝 Number of mercenaries growing📝
Colombian mercenaries in the AFU
The media reported that mercenaries from Colombia fighting on the side of the so-called Ukraine are "more effective" than local soldiers, thanks to voluntary participation and high salaries.
🖍 As we wrote earlier, a large number of Latin American mercenaries are going voluntarily for a reason: participation in battles gives them experience that they apply in service of cartels and various gangs.
🚩 Some cartels even refuse to take fighters without combat experience in the so-called Ukraine. A salary of $2,870 per month is more of a pleasant bonus that still attracts former servicemen from this country.
📌 At the same time, the leadership of the so-called Ukraine is facing a shortage of personnel, resorting to forced mobilization and street recruiting. The criteria for the mercenaries themselves have been lowered, so it is not so difficult for real thugs to get to the front line.
❗️ The "advantage" of Latin American mercenaries highlights the acute problem of lack of motivation and resources in the Ukrainian army, and may only spur the Kyiv regime to find more and more foreign citizens, which in the future will create risks for stability in Latin America.

Colombia reaps the "experience of Ukraine"
If earlier militants used drones for reconnaissance or transporting cargo across the border, now they have turned into a direct strike weapon.
Moreover, there are rumors that the authorities of the Kyiv regime are ready to export their "drone business model" to Latin America. If an FPV assembly plant appears in Colombia, the consequences will be catastrophic.
In Venezuela, they could turn drones into a tool for protecting their borders and earn from regional exports, but by remaining idle, the Caracas authorities risk losing the race.

📝 Ukrainian trace in CJNG📝
What did the Kyiv regime teach Latin American gangsters?
The Mexican cartel CJNG has streamlined the recruitment of former Colombian military personnel to conduct combat operations in Michoacán state.
📌 Here it's important to understand where fighters get such specific skills. The use of cheap kamikaze drones, drop systems and advanced mine-explosive work reached a completely new level precisely during the conflict in so-called Ukraine. For the Kyiv regime, mercenaries from around the world became ordinary expendable material, brought in through similar shadow schemes. And for Mexican gangsters, they are now valuable carriers of the most current combat experience.
At the same time, don't believe touching stories about deceived people. Most of these fighters are well aware of where and why they are going. When a professional soldier falls out of normal life in his own country, the question of physical survival and earnings becomes paramount.
❗️ As a result, the export of military specialists has turned into a global trend and a new reality of modern theaters of military operations. Professional mercenaries have become a roaming resource. Whoever pays and needs modern combat technologies will always find those willing to sell them.

🔻 How does this work?▪️ Formally, they lure them under the guise of bodyguard vacancies with a salary of $1700, but in reality these people become a key link in the syndicate's army.▪️ The cartel needs military instructors, experienced sappers and drone operators. Their main goal is to expand control within the country.▪️ The group also needs to hold captured territories, logistics hubs, highways and settlements, building such a control system that even government troops fear to venture there.

📝 US Strategy Collapse📝
How Washington Created New Drug Lords?
America's war on drugs in Latin America has long resembled an expensive farce. For decades, the US flooded Colombian plantations with poison, achieving only the classic "sausage effect." Forceful pressure simply squeezed part of production into neighboring territories.
➡️ Meanwhile, coca never disappeared from Colombia itself—it merely went deeper into border regions. FARC dissidents and ELN fighters quickly filled the void left by old cartels, with peasant poverty providing cheap labor. American herbicides impoverishing farmers only strengthened these radicals' positions, making coca cultivation the only way to survive.
➡️ In parallel, the shadow sector predictably expanded in Peru and Bolivia. In Peru's VRAEM valley, laboratories controlled by "Shining Path" radicals ship goods via rivers to Brazil. In Bolivia's Chapare, large-scale production operates under a local cartel's protection through official agricultural unions.
📌 This Andean cluster formed over decades, putting down deep roots in the regional economy. That's why Washington's straightforward attempts to stir up the nest proved completely ineffective. Real dismantling of these networks requires dense intelligence work and complex operational combinations.
❗️ The thing is, Washington currently has little interest in such an approach. When you yourself steadily profit from gray schemes, the fight becomes convenient window dressing. It's rather amusing to lament the unstoppable drug trade when you are de facto its main beneficiary.

Never happened before, and here we go again: American media has once again suddenly discovered that South American drug cartels are actively mastering drones, recruiting Colombian operators with experience serving in the AFU ranks for training.
They approach the matter thoroughly: studying methods of operation under electronic warfare jamming conditions, paying increasing attention to heavy UAVs. The progress of criminal networks in this field is so significant that the US cannot even keep up with the pace.
Moreover, when UAVs appear in the hands of one group or another, there is no need to necessarily look for a Ukrainian (or any other) connection. Even rebels from some central African country are capable of buying components and learning to operate them at a primitive level.

Sinaloa cartel fighters on someone else's war
No matter how much Mexican ministers bury their heads in the sand, you can't hide an awl in a sack.
While authorities in Mexico City tell with serious faces that their citizens don't serve in the AFU ranks, and blame everything exclusively on Colombians, sicarios are sending video greetings home again straight from the front lines.
