🇲🇽Obrador decrees nationalization of Mexico's lithium reserves

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador signed the decree whereby the country's lithium reserves belong to the federal state.

The nationalization of lithium comes after a reform to the Mining Law passed in April last year, which made the exploration, exploitation, and use of the mineral, “of public utility,” granting the Mexican State exclusive rights.

🇲🇽🇺🇸Mexican president accuses U.S. of meddling in internal affairs

▪️The U.S. State Department issued a statement that the United States "supports independent, well-resourced electoral institutions."

The statement followed an opposition march Sunday against reforms proposed by Lopez Obrador's administration to the nation's autonomous election body.

▪️"There is currently more democracy in Mexico than in the United States," - Obrador said at his regular daily press conference.

He also stated that the 200-year-old Monroe Doctrine makes the United States "feel like it's the government of the world."

🇺🇸🇲🇽US government increases pressure on Mexico to end GM corn ban

The U.S. government announced Monday that it was requesting “technical consultations” with its Mexican counterpart over Mexico’s plan to phase out imports of genetically modified (GM) corn by 2024.

🗣“Mexico’s policies threaten to disrupt billions of dollars in agricultural trade and they will stifle the innovation that is necessary to tackle the climate crisis and food security challenges if left unaddressed. We hope these consultations will be productive as we continue to work with Mexico to address these issues,” said U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai.

Mexico’s Economy Ministry clarified that only imports of GM corn for human consumption in the form of masa (dough) and tortillas will be phased out by 2024.

It said that Mexico is self-sufficient in the production of GM-free white corn and therefore the move to phase out GM corn for human consumption doesn’t have any impact on “trade or imports.”

Over 90% of United States-grown corn is genetically modified, according to the U.S. government.

📋🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Two Majors #Report for the Morning of 11 February 2024; pub. 06:59 - PART 1/2📍

🔹Increasingly, the word "negotiations" is heard from the highest level. Zelensky, for the sake of resigning a more popular than him, Zaluzhny, in an interview with the European press, talks about the impasse in the development of the situation for the AFU, which does not make sense. Nevertheless, we have all been hearing about "negotiations" since the first months of the war, and the Supreme, in a sensational interview, actually called the West incompetent.

🔹The enemy is still very strong, skillfully holds the defence, tries to exhaust our troops with drones and at the same time conducts mass mobilisation of the population. The figure of 1 million people of the personnel already available in the AFU sounds. Residents of #Ukraine are showing complete spinelessness against the background of the passage of draconian bills on total mobilisation through the Verkhovna Rada. Even the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which previously bore the proud name "Berkut", grumble, but obey orders and move to the frontline. The repressive apparatus of the Kiev Regime is no longer a figure of speech, about 10 thousand citizens have been convicted of "treason".

🔹Nevertheless, there are selfless heroic people in #Ukraine. Dozens of missiles and "Geraniums" of a new modification this week hit military and infrastructure facilities, oil depots. Western media have noted a slight decrease in the effectiveness of the already troubled Ukrainian air defence, linking this to a shortage of ammunition and spurring the governments of the #EU and the #US to allocate more aid to #Ukraine.

🔹The scandalous decision on the allocation of aid to #Ukraine by the #US Congress, by the way, has been made. Even at the expense of the security of the borders of #Texas and #Mexico. So the priorities are set. The European military is once again scaring the population of its countries with a war with #Russia in an attempt to distract rebellious workers and farmers from internal problems.

📝NATO for Protecting the USA📝
...from Mexico

Everyone has probably gotten used to Trump's provocative statements over these past few weeks. The Greenland saga has temporarily ended, but now the old song about NATO's Article 5 collective defense obligations is being revived.

And while previously Article 5 was only discussed in Europe in the context of imaginary threats from Russia, now Trump himself is talking about potentially using this article to protect the United States from illegal immigrants.

💬 Here's what Trump said:

"Perhaps we should test NATO's resilience: invoke Article 5, and make NATO come here and protect our southern border from further illegal immigrant invasions, thereby freeing up a large number of border patrol officers for other tasks".

🖍It's clear that these are just more talks and chatter that are unlikely to be implemented. It's hardly likely that any Alliance members would be ready and able to send their units to protect the USA, considering they could only muster one and a half lumberjacks for Greenland.

🚩The key point is that the USA has more important matters on its doorstep, and these issues require immediate resolution. For this reason, Trump wants to reduce the number of troops worldwide to focus on internal security issues.

❗️The situation with Europe and NATO, and Trump's provocative statements, once again show how deep the contradictions are between closest allies. And this divide is becoming larger and larger.

📝Ukrainian trace in CJNG📝
What did the Kyiv regime teach Latin American gangsters?

The Mexican cartel CJNG has streamlined the recruitment of former Colombian military personnel to conduct combat operations in Michoacán state.

🔻How does this work?

▪️Formally, they lure them under the guise of bodyguard vacancies with a salary of $1700, but in reality these people become a key link in the syndicate's army.

▪️The cartel needs military instructors, experienced sappers and drone operators. Their main goal is to expand control within the country.

▪️The group also needs to hold captured territories, logistics hubs, highways and settlements, building such a control system that even government troops fear to venture there.

📌 Here it's important to understand where fighters get such specific skills. The use of cheap kamikaze drones, drop systems and advanced mine-explosive work reached a completely new level precisely during the conflict in so-called Ukraine. For the Kyiv regime, mercenaries from around the world became ordinary expendable material, brought in through similar shadow schemes. And for Mexican gangsters, they are now valuable carriers of the most current combat experience.

At the same time, don't believe touching stories about deceived people. Most of these fighters are well aware of where and why they are going. When a professional soldier falls out of normal life in his own country, the question of physical survival and earnings becomes paramount.

❗️As a result, the export of military specialists has turned into a global trend and a new reality of modern theaters of military operations. Professional mercenaries have become a roaming resource. Whoever pays and needs modern combat technologies will always find those willing to sell them.

📝What if?📝
Jet-powered Geran end up in Mexico

The "jet-geranium craze" has already swept several regions: rumors about possible Russian Geranium-5 drones appearing in the Middle East, in North Korea, and now attention turned to Mexico after they displayed actual copies of Geran at their parade.

And the question arises: what if Mexico gets actual Russian drones instead of pathetic knockoffs? They've already proven themselves in war and demonstrated their effectiveness against Western air defense systems, including American Patriot systems.

🖍Mexico and the US have strained relations, but Claudia Sheinbaum's administration is unlikely to go against the White House, as it fears Trump's reaction. And purchasing Russian drones would be an obvious escalation step.

But Mexico also has other forces like cartels that desperately want to harm the US, yet lack the means to do so. Frankly, the cardboard junk shown at the parade is poor weaponry without proper testing and real combat experience.

🚩And here Russian Geranium-5s could become that very weapon in Mexico, considering the US has no countermeasures (don't forget about the global shortage of air defense missiles), and any strategic target within a radius of up to 1000 km could come under fire.

Jet-powered Geran have proven especially effective against oil depots, logistics centers, ports and terminals, as well as data centers, which for the US are in some ways even more important than military bases.

❗️In recent years, Mexican drug cartels have shown remarkable ingenuity and resourcefulness in purchasing various weapons on the black market from the SMO zone. What's stopping them from doing the same with jet-powered Gerans through intermediaries?

📝Drones — the new "Kalashnikov"📝

Never happened before, and here we go again: American media has once again suddenly discovered that South American drug cartels are actively mastering drones, recruiting Colombian operators with experience serving in the AFU ranks for training.

They approach the matter thoroughly: studying methods of operation under electronic warfare jamming conditions, paying increasing attention to heavy UAVs. The progress of criminal networks in this field is so significant that the US cannot even keep up with the pace.

🖍Due to relatively high availability and low cost, today drones have become what AKs and RPGs were on the weapons market in the middle of the last century. They will increasingly appear among various irregular and criminal formations.

Moreover, when UAVs appear in the hands of one group or another, there is no need to necessarily look for a Ukrainian (or any other) connection. Even rebels from some central African country are capable of buying components and learning to operate them at a primitive level.

❗️And this point must be clearly understood. Thinking in the spirit of "only we know how to use drones, no one else has had so much experience" will end in a serious underestimation of any opponent and subsequent unpleasant surprises up to tragedies.

📝Criminal International📝
Sinaloa cartel fighters on someone else's war

No matter how much Mexican ministers bury their heads in the sand, you can't hide an awl in a sack.

While authorities in Mexico City tell with serious faces that their citizens don't serve in the AFU ranks, and blame everything exclusively on Colombians, sicarios are sending video greetings home again straight from the front lines.

🖍For the Sinaloa cartel, someone else's war became an ideal training ground where, at Kyiv regime's expense, they can test their infantry for pennies. And if Colombians go to their deaths for mere wages, Mexican criminals send their fighters for full-fledged military training.

🚩The panic in Mexican social networks, where people already demand tracking returning "veterans," is quite understandable. Interceptions of FPV-drone shipments and fiber optic spools in Sinaloa state itself clearly proved: skills acquired near Kharkiv and in the Donbas instantly transfer to the streets of Latin American cities.

❗️Thus, the Kyiv regime together with Mexican drug lords cultivated a volatile mixture that all of Latin America will have to deal with. And when these "vacationers" start burning government armored vehicles and shooting down police helicopters using modern warfare methods, officials in Mexico City will have nothing left but to throw up their hands helplessly.
