#Bakhmut Area:

▪️ The Wagner PMC assault troops continue to storm Ukrainian positions in the southeastern part of #Bakhmut and in the #Kurdyumovka area. The "Wagnerians" have advanced towards #Andreevka and #Kleshcheevka.

▪️ #Bakhmutskoye has been completely cleared out, and Russian troops are close to #Soledar. Heavy fighting is also taking place for the village of #Belogorovka, where half of the settlement is currently under the control of the musicians.

▪️ To deter the Russian offensive, AFU artillery crews are shelling the areas of #Ivangrad, #Zaitsevo and #Mayorsk. Reinforcements were moved to the contact line to reinforce the 53rd and 54th Mechanized Brigades of the AFU.

▪️ Due to significant losses in personnel and equipment, the command of the Operation Task Group Soledar plans to withdraw the 93rd Mechanized Brigade from the #Podgorodnoye - #Soledar - #Yakovlevka line for restoration, starting on 16 November

▪️ In addition, preparations are underway for a partial withdrawal of personnel of the 30th AFU Mechanized Brigade from the vicinity of #Bakhmut. The positional defence areas of the two Ukrainian formations will be handed over to separate units of the 24th Mechanized Brigade.

#Lysychansk Sector:

▪️ The AFU Grad multiple rocket launchers are firing indiscriminately into the attack areas.

▪️ Sixty Ukrainian mobilised men have arrived in the city.

♦️#Bakhmut Area:

▪️ In the vicinity of #Opytnoye the "Wagnerites" are trying to break through the buildings used by the AFU as strongholds and firing positions.

▪️ In the south, fighting is taking place on the outskirts of #Kleshcheyevka. And west of #Andreyevka and #Kurdyumovka, the RF Armed Forces have taken control of two company and four platoon strongholds.

▪️ To support the defending forces, 60 mobilised men have been sent from Belaya Gora to the combat area. Several units of armoured vehicles arrived at the command post of the 28th Brigade's 3rd company in Belaya Gora.

▪️ In the northeast, Wagner PMC assault teams are advancing on the strongholds of 128th Mountain Assault Brigade and 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade in #Podgorodnoye.

♦️#Toretsk Sector:

▪️ Three Battalions of the 46th Airmobile Brigade have been moved from the #Kherson direction to #Udachnoye station.

♦️3. Ours continue to press on #Podgorodnoye and in the industrial zone. There has been no serious progress so far in the residential areas on the south-eastern outskirts of #Artyomovsk. The Russian army also attacked in the direction of #Vodyanoye. Artillery strikes were launched against a third AFU stronghold in #Avdeyevka. Ukrainian forces retaliated against #Donetsk, #Makeyevka and #Yasynuvata. (Fig. 2)

♦️On the #Lugansk direction, the AFU are trying to expand their zone of control in the wooded area near #Kremennaya. They are attacking near #Dibrova from the west and #Kuzmino from the south.

In the north, the Russian army takes the initiative. Offensives near #Chervonopovka and at #Nevskoye. Also an attack from the direction of #Ploshchanka. Further north, Russian forces attempt to advance towards #Stelmakhovka and near #Novosyolovskoye. (Fig. 4)

♦️In the #Zaporozhye direction, Russian troops reduced the intensity of artillery fire. Flights hit #Plavni, #Novoandreyevka, #Novodanilovka and Malaya Tokmachka. The AFU launched a missile attack on #Tokmak. There is a military airfield. #Tokmak itself is an important logistics centre for the RF Armed Forces (Figure 1).

♦️There is nothing new on the #Donetsk front. In the southern sector, the Russian army is again attempting to attack in the direction of #Novomikhailovka. Fierce fighting continues in the city of #Maryinka. Russian troops again attack in the direction of #Nevelskoye, #Pervomayskoye, #Vodyanyoye and from the direction of #Opytnoye. Strangely enough, it is quiet in #Avdeyevka. Slightly to the north, the RF Armed Forces are attempting to move towards #Kamenka. Further north they attacked in the direction of #Aleksandropol. Apart from #Maryinka, there are no successes to speak of. (Fig. 2)

♦️South of #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMCs decided to move on #Dyleyevka. Slightly to the north, they attack in the area of #Kleshchiyevka. On the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut itself, the Wagner PMC is no longer doing well. But it attacks near #Podgorodnoye. Apparently, they decided to replace the unsuccessful frontal assaults with a flanking encirclement of the city. It's the same southeast of #Soledar. An attempt to push through the AFU garrison in #Bakhmutskoye from the north. The Ukrainian army in this area unexpectedly counterattacked in the direction of #Stryapovka. (Fig. 3)

♦️In the #Lugansk direction, Russian troops are again attempting to reach #Belogorovka. The AFU is conducting assault operations near #Chervonopovka. There is a struggle for a section of the R-66 road to #Kremennaya. (Fig. 4)

♦️Russian artillery has intensified on the #Zaporozhye direction. #Plavni and #Kamenskoye are being hit. This is in the direction of the M-18 highway that leads to #Melitopol. To the east, #Shcherbakov, #Novoandreyevka, #Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka and #Belogorye were shelled. The AFU responded with a missile strike on #Tokmak. More than once. It is an airfield and an important logistics centre for the RF Armed Forces. (Fig. 1)

♦️In the #Ugledar sector, apart from the town itself, Russian troops hit Bolshaya (Velikaya) Novosyolka, #Prechistovka and Zolotaya Niva. In the area of the last of the above mentioned settlements they tried to move on the ground. The aim was to reach the roadblock. (Fig. 2)

♦️There is no significant change on the #Donetsk front. The Russian army attacks #Novomikhailovka for the umpteenth time. There is fierce fighting in the city limits of #Maryinka. The AFU is holding its ground. The RF Armed Forces are attempting another offensive at #Nevelskoye, #Pervomayskoye, #Vodyanoye and from the side of #Opytnoye. (Fig. 3)

♦️Near #Bakhmut the same picture. The Wagner PMC is persistently trying to prove that its "music" is major. It conducts offensives in the direction of #Kleshchiyevka and from the local #Opytnoye. On the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut they are trying to attack the AFU. But to the north of the city the Wagner PMC has also turned on the "bandwagon" in the area of #Podgorodnoye. The M-03 highway is there. But it's not a long way to cut off its section on supplying #Bakhmut. To the southeast of #Soledar, the same offensives towards #Bakhmut and from the #Yakovlevka side are still in place. (Fig. 4)

♦️South of #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMCs again attempt to advance from the direction of #Ozaryanovka and #Kurdyumovka. There is also fierce fighting in the area of #Kleshchiyevka. The initiative is taken by Russian units. The Wagner PMC broke through the AFU defence near #Bakhmuts' #Opytnoye. Attempts to reach the city from the eastern outskirts as well. To the north, it is conducting assault operations near #Podgorodnoye. In the south of #Soledar, the Wagner PMC is attacking in the direction of Krasnaya Gora. ♦️The #Lugansk direction becomes "hot". Russian forces are again rushing towards #Belogorovka. In the north, they attack near #Ploshchanka and towards #Makeyevka. 🔹Northeast of the city, they have advanced along the #Svetlodarsk -# Slavyansk highway and reached the southern outskirts of #Podgorodnoye village.

🔹In #Bakhmut itself, the Wagnerians are advancing in several directions simultaneously:

▪️ the control zone in the area of Trudovykh Reserve Street has been expanded;
▪️ most of Fyodor Maksimenko Street is under the control of the "musicians", who are advancing along it from the north to the south towards the waste sorting plant;
▪️ the area of the Gypsum Factory on Patrice Lumumba Street has been completely cleared.

🔹There are several gypsum mines near the plant that the AFU uses for concealed movement, storage of ammo and sheltering of personnel and equipment. The situation is identical to that currently observed in #Soledar.

🔹Undoubtedly, this will affect the pace of the offensive in this section of the front, but it will not stop it. According to my sources, the Wagner PMCs already control one mine with two exits, the rest are in line.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation in the #Artyomovsk Direction as of 00:05 Moscow time on 8 Jan 2023⚡️

🔹1. In the south of #Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk), fighting is taking place near #Kleshchiyevka, where the Wagners are pounding and storming the AFU strongholds. #Kleshchievka itself has not yet been entered. To the south our troops are trying to advance from the #Kurdyumovka and #Ozeryanovka areas, but no results are known yet.

🔹2. In #Bakhmut itself there is fighting in the southeastern outskirts, where the "orchestra" is fighting for every house.

➖ Part of #Opytnoye has been taken, fighting is taking place in the centre of the village, and no one is marking a clear front line there now.

➖ In the vicinity of the town's industrial area fighting is taking place at the site of the gypsum plant and Patrice Lumumba street. There is little progress and the fighting is mostly positional.

🔹3. #Podgorodnoye is taken, where the system of the AFU Ukrops is similar to #Opytnoye, but they are still breaking there, while in #Podgorodnoye they have already broken through.

➖ Enemy strongholds between #Podgorodnoye and Krasnaya Gora are being stormed, ours have not entered the latter yet.

🔹4. In #Soledar, fighting continues in the residential areas in the central part of the city. PMC Wagner assault units have reached the salt mine 1.3, taking it. The enemy have marked themselves off State Enterprise Artemsol (video with Butusov). They are sitting on the Sol station, on the western outskirts of #Soledar, having transferred the 46th Brigade from the #Zaporozhye direction for reinforcement.

➖ Ours have entered the town from the #Yakovlevka side and there are reports of advances westwards to the #Seversk - #Soledar highway, but even here the real front line is difficult to mark at the moment.

🔹5. According to military expert Boris Rozhin, the capture of #Soledar will allow us to cover the enemy positions in #Bakhmut from the north. At the same time, problems arise in the enemy defence north of #Soledar at the line of #Veseloye - #Belogorovka - #Berestovoye - #Spornoye.

➖ Cutting the #Seversk - #Soldar route will enable an offensive along it to #Seversk. If the offensive towards #Seversk and northwards develops, the enemy is deprived of the opportunity to use a bridgehead near the second #Belogorovka at Seversky Donets River to put pressure on #Lisichansk and through the forested area to #Kremennaya.

➖ This is a complex impact!

🔹6. The enemy tries to cling to areas of weapons depots, artemsol underground communications and urban development.

🔹7. Retreating to #Bakhmut, the enemy will attempt to hold the defenses in the western part of the city, if necessary by withdrawing to equipped positions near Chasov Yar, using the dominant heights, before retreating to #Druzhkovka, #Kramatorsk and #Konstantinovka. With the pushing of the enemy in #Bakhmut, the front is hardly likely to crumble.

🔹8. A defensive breakthrough at #Soledar could have more serious consequences for the AFU. But everything depends on the pace of our advance and how quickly the enemy will be able to stabilize the line after losing #Soledar.

📌 The position of the AFU in this direction is close to critical, which is confirmed by the redeployment of formations from the #Zaporozhye direction to #Bakhmut and #Soledar. If their front line is shattered, it will be shattered not only there.

➖UAV operators of the 40th Combined Battalion and the 92nd Mechanized Brigade of the AFU conduct reconnaissance of Russian positions near #Kuzemovka, #Naugolnoye, and #Kolomiychikha.

▪️The reconnaissance activity of Ukrainian SRGs and Fly Eye UAVs from the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade has increased in the #Liman area. The enemy is drawing in reserves for an offensive in the area of #Dibrova.

▪️A battery of M777 howitzers is installed in #Torskoye and at least 15 armoured vehicles are deployed in #Ternoye

▪️Increased activity of Ukrainian aviation has been noted over the #Kharkov region, which could indicate an imminent offensive against Russian positions.

♦️#Soledar Direction (MAP):

▪️Wagner PMC assault troops are advancing in the centre and the northern outskirts of #Soledar. Fierce fighting is taking place near the city administration building.
➖ Communications are disrupted between the surviving scattered enemy formations. Presumably the enemy is preparing to withdraw from the city due to difficulty in holding positions.

➖ Units of the Wagner PMC are combing and clearing the network of underground communications in the mines of #Soledar.

♦️In the #Zaporozhye direction on the eastern bank of the #Dnepr reservoir, Russian artillery struck #Kamenskoye. To the east, the intensity of its shelling was even denser. #Orekhov, Malaya Tokmachka, #Belogorye, #Charivnoye, #Gulyaypolskoye, #Zheleznodorozhnoye, #Gulyaypole and #Krasnoye came under fire. (Figure 1)

♦️In the #Ugledar sector, Russian troops supported by artillery launched a ground attack in the direction of Bolshaya (Velikaya) Novosyolka. They also shelled Zolotaya Niva, #Prechistovka and #Ugledar itself. (Fig. 2)

♦️On the #Donetsk front, the RF Armed Forces attempted to advance into the urban area of #Maryinka. Also on the ground they attacked the AFU stronghold in #Krasnogorovka. Another attempt to take #Nevelskoye. Attacks on #Pervomayskoye, #Vodyanoye and from the direction of #Opytnoye. The AFU stronghold in #Avdeyevka was hit by artillery. (Fig. 3)

♦️In the south of #Bakhmut, Russian troops attacked in the direction of #Dyleyevka. The Wagner PMC is already storming southwest of the city towards #Predtechin, trying to cut off a section of the H-32 highway. It links #Bakhmut with #Konstantinovka. The "orchestrators" are also trying to break through the AFU defence near #Kleshchiyevka. On the eastern outskirts of #Bakhmut itself there are counterattacks. To the north of the city, the Wagner PMC is seeking to advance near #Podgorodnoye. Apparently, the "musicians" have refused to attack #Bakhmut head-on and want to encircle the city. To the south of #Soledar, they are conducting an assault near Krasnaya Gora. The town itself is almost entirely under their control. To the north of #Soledar, the Wagner PMC is attacking near #Razdolovka. (Fig. 4)

♦️In the #Lugansk direction, Russian troops, supported by artillery, again attempted to attack near #Spornoye. There were also offensives near #Belogorovka. 💀 Prigozhin said that #Paraskoviyevka village is completely under Wagner control. Despite the ammunition blockade, heavy losses and bloody fighting, the guys have fully occupied the entire settlement. Thanks them! Heroes!

🔹 The liberation of #Paraskoviyevka, which was an important tactical node in the AFU defence, significantly improves Wagner's situation in the north of #Bakhmut.

The clearing of the Krasnaya Gora - #Podgorodnoye - #Paraskoviyevka triangle will increase pressure on #Berkhovka, where fighting took place for the past few days, and secure a strong foothold in the north of #Bakhmut.

📌 Control of #Berkhovka, as well as the neighbouring village of #Yagodnoye, could leave the AFU without northern supply routes, which currently run through the #Berkhovka - #Khromovo line. In the long term, this would seriously hamper the AFU's ability to defend #Bakhmut.
