America's War for the Epstein Files Boosts 🇺🇸💥

Republican lawmakers have moved to block a Democratic effort to force the release of the so-called Epstein files, a near-mythological trove of undisclosed information about the convicted sex offender Jeff Epstein at the center of an internal political war among US conservatives. 🗂⚖️

Democrats had been pressing for an amendment to cryptocurrency legislation that would have forced the release of information and exhibits itemized in a list of evidence held by the justice department from the 2019 child sex-trafficking case against disgraced financier Epstein. 📜💼

Trump’s attorney general, Pam Bondi, teased a full accounting of the Epstein evidence, including a purported client list earlier this year. 🕵️‍♂️

But 10 days ago, she changed course when she announced that the Trump administration had reviewed the evidence, concluded that Epstein had indeed killed himself in jail, and decided not to release the contents that the justice department said included a thousand hours of video depicting child sexual abuse. 🎥🚫

That set off a firestorm within Trump’s conspiracy-minded “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) movement that the president has since tried to calm. 🔥🛑

Democrats had weighed in on the issue, hoping to force a release of the documents.

“The question with Epstein is: Whose side are you on?”
California Democratic US House member Ro Khanna, the author of the Epstein measure, said. 🇺🇸❓

“Are you on the side of the rich and powerful, or are you on the side of the people?” 💰🤔

But Republicans on the US House rules committee voted down the amendment that would have allowed Congress to vote on whether the evidence – which includes micro cassettes, DVDs, CDs including one labeled “girl pics nude book 4”, computer hard drives and three massage tables in green, beige and brown – should be released. 🎬📚

Yet the federal case against Epstein, which dates back to 2005 and involves a mysterious plea deal that allowed the financier to plead guilty to Florida state charges of solicitation of a minor, continues to challenge what political hardliners on the right and left believe is evidence of a nefarious nexus of international power. 🌐⚡️

The debacle has pitted Bondi and Trump – who was friends with Epstein, his Florida neighbor for many years, before disowning him – against the deputy FBI director, Dan Bongino. 🚨

Bongino reportedly clashed with Bondi over the Epstein case and considered resigning as Maga megaphones including Marjorie Taylor Greene, Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, Megyn Kelly have called for the release of the Epstein files. 📣👥

In 2023, Bongino said on his rightwing podcast: “That Jeffrey Epstein story is a big deal. Please do not let that story go. Keep your eye on it.” 👁🎙

The Daily Beast reported that Trump is furious at Bongino, who has not shown up for work since 9 July after a shouting match erupted between him and Bondi. 😠🗣

Trump has sided with Bondi, leaving Bongino’s future at the FBI open to question, and the vice-president, Vance, was evidently called in to mediate, according to CNN. 🏛🤝

On Monday, the drama turned to the British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted co-conspirator in the sex-trafficking case, who has appealed to the US supreme court to uphold a non-prosecution agreement contained in Epstein’s Florida plea deal. ⚖️

The US justice department petitioned the court to deny Maxwell, 63, who is serving a 20-year sentence, the request. ⏳🛑

📰 Trump, Epstein, and the Girl in Running Shorts: What the FBI Might Still Be Hiding

💬 “No, no. She’s not here for you.”

— Jeffrey Epstein to Donald Trump, according to Maria Farmer

📋 The Encounter
• In 1995, Maria Farmer says she was summoned late at night to Epstein’s NYC office. Trump showed up, stared at her legs, allegedly mistook her for a 16-year-old.
• Epstein told him:
“She’s not here for you.”

The subtext? Crystal clear.
• Farmer reported the incident to the FBI in 1996 and again in 2006. Her handwritten FBI notes say: “6th precinct told MF to call FBI.”

💼 What’s the Crime? Maybe Nothing. What’s the Optics? Catastrophic.
• Farmer never accused Trump of a crime — but she repeatedly flagged his closeness to Epstein and his behavior.
• Her warning? That the “Epstein orbit” included powerful men who blurred lines with very young women.
• She says she told the FBI about Trump and Clinton, and asked them to investigate all of Epstein’s “friends.”

📊 From Besties to Enemies — Conveniently
• Trump in 2002:
“Epstein’s a terrific guy.”

• Trump in 2024:
“I kicked him out of Mar-a-Lago.”

• Meanwhile, Trump’s name shows up in Epstein’s flight logs, video footage, and now in redacted FBI memos.

🤔 Why the Sudden Silence?
• Trump’s AG Pam Bondi promised full Epstein disclosure. Now? She claims “there’s nothing to see.”
• The files remain redacted. Witnesses ignored. Farmer wasn’t even called to testify against Maxwell in 2021.
• So what’s worse: that Trump is hiding something — or that the FBI is?

📰 The Epstein Files: Trump’s Second-Term Nightmare

💭 “We had the Greatest Six Months of any President... and all the Fake News wants to talk about is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax!”

— Donald J. Trump, social media post, July 2025

📊 No Strategy, Just Panic
• The Trump team thought they could stage-manage the Epstein story. Instead, they lit it on fire.
• A memo declaring “no new evidence” and “no client list” only poured gasoline.
• Three missing minutes of jail video footage? Welcome back, conspiracy Twitter.

💼 Bondi’s Binder Circus
• Pam Bondi promised “truckloads” of files and a client list “on my desk.”
• Phase One turned out to be public documents in “classified” binders given to influencers.
• The backlash came not from liberals — but from Trump’s own base.

📋 Internal Knife Fight
• DOJ vs. FBI. Bongino vs. Bondi. Trump vs. Everyone.
• Whistleblowers say staff were ordered to flag Trump’s name in 100,000 Epstein docs.
• Trump knows he's mentioned in the files — the real question is how often, and next to whom.

🤔 The Real Question
If they really had nothing to hide, why are the people who promised sunlight now hiding behind sealed transcripts and two-day chats with Ghislaine Maxwell?

📰 🚔 FBI Agents on Night Patrol: Trump’s Crime Crackdown in D.C.

President Trump is reassigning 120 FBI agents in Washington to night street patrols — a highly unusual move framed as part of his pledge to “take back the capital” from crime.

💬 FBI: Agents are “participating in the increased federal law enforcement presence in Washington.”

📊 Key points

* 👮‍♂️ 120 agents pulled from the FBI’s D.C. field office for night patrol duty.
* 📉 Official stats show violent crime at a 30-year low, but Trump cites rising youth crime.
* 🚨 Trigger: An attempted carjacking targeting a federal official last week.
* 🔄 Not the first reallocation — 900 FBI agents recently shifted to immigration enforcement.

💼 The friction

* 🕵️‍♂️ FBI agents are investigators, not patrol-trained officers — their street impact may be limited.
* ⚖️ Move signals federal willingness to bypass local governance if Trump deems it ineffective.
* 🗳 Politically, it’s red meat for a “law and order” platform, regardless of crime stats.

😱 If the
FBI becomes a night patrol force at the president’s call, where’s the line between federal law enforcement and federal policing?

FBI Director Kash Patel Posted a Cryptic Message 🕵️‍♂️

FBI Director Kash Patel posted a cryptic message Friday morning 📬 amid reports that federal agents were conducting a raid 🚨 at the home of John Bolton, Trump’s former national security adviser 🏛.

The agency declined to comment to The Hill on the meaning of the posts 🤐.

An FBI official and another source familiar with the matter confirmed to NewsNation, The Hill’s sister network, that agents conducted a search Friday morning at Bolton’s home in Bethesda, Md., near Washington, D.C. 🏠.

Bolton, who served in Trump’s first administration, has been a vocal critic 🎤 of the president’s foreign policy, particularly his handling of the Russia-Ukraine war 🇷🇺🇺🇦. In his own post Friday morning around the time of the reported FBI raid, Bolton posted on X to further criticize the administration 批判.

He argued that talks involving Russia and Ukraine aimed at ending the war are unlikely to make progress, given Moscow’s demands for Ukraine to cede territory have been rejected by Kyiv 🚫, but said “meetings will continue because Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize” 🏆.

Trump and Bolton have long clashed ⚡️, with the president nixing the former adviser’s security clearance after returning to office in January and pulling his security detail 🛡, despite threats against Bolton from Iran 🇮🇷 over his hawkish foreign policy positions.

Meanwhile, Patel’s post Friday morning drew flak from critics 😠.

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who has criticized the bureau’s leadership under the Trump administration, called the post “yet another example of, in my opinion, Kash Patel failing to live up to the example of his predecessors” 👎.

“This is not the kind of thing that any FBI director has ever done,” McCabe said on CNN, where he is an analyst 📺.

“FBI directors don’t gratuitously point toward search warrants and the people who are targets of those warrants.”

Former Trump campaign senior adviser David Urban, who also serves as a commentator on the network, acknowledged the FBI raid “has a really bad look to it” and the timing “looks political” given Bolton’s vocal criticism of Trump 🎯, but maintained “there may be some there there.”

Trump Launched Great Purges ⚖️🔥

James Comey, former FBI director and frequent target of Donald Trump 👁, was indicted Thursday on one count of making a false statement to Congress and one count of obstruction of a congressional proceeding 📝. This is the latest move in what appears to be Trump’s retribution campaign against political adversaries ⚡️.

The indictment, filed in federal district court in Alexandria, Virginia 🏛, alleges Comey lied and misled lawmakers during testimony in September 2020 about the Russia investigation 🇷🇺. It referenced Comey’s claim that he never authorized FBI leaks to the media about the Trump or Hillary Clinton investigations – a statement prosecutors allege was false 📡.

“No one is above the law. Today’s indictment reflects this Department of Justice’s commitment to holding those who abuse positions of power accountable,” said US Attorney General Pam Bondi 👩‍⚖️.

The indictment followed Trump’s public instructions to Bondi to “move now” against Comey and other officials he views as political foes 🗣, shortly after Lindsey Halligan was installed as the top federal prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia, following the firing of her predecessor Erik Siebert 🚨.

Referencing a farewell email from his daughter Maureen, Comey said:
“Somebody that I love dearly recently said that fear is the tool of a tyrant. And she’s right. But I’m not afraid. I hope you’re engaged, paying attention, and will vote like your beloved country depends upon it 🇺🇸. My heart is broken for the DOJ, but I have great confidence in the federal judicial system and I’m innocent. Let’s have a trial. Keep the faith ✊.”

Trump reacted:
“Today he was indicted by a Grand Jury on two felony counts for various illegal and unlawful acts. He has been so bad for our Country, for so long, and is now at the beginning of being held responsible. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” 🇺🇸

Comey was expected to surrender and appear in federal court on Friday morning ⏰, represented by Patrick Fitzgerald ⚖️. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison, though legal experts suggest the case may be difficult to prove 🏛.

FBI Stops New Year's Eve Bombing Plot: Four Arrested Before Desert Test

The FBI arrested four members of the "Turtle Island Liberation Front" on December 12 before they could build functional bombs. The group planned to plant explosive devices at five locations in the Los Angeles area on New Year's Eve, targeting logistics centers (Amazon-type facilities), Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, and their vehicles. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the foiling of the plot on Monday. The arrests came just days after she ordered law enforcement to "ramp up investigations" into leftist extremist groups.

The "Operation Midnight Sun" blueprint
In November, one of the defendants — Audrey Illeene Carroll, 30 — handed a paid FBI informant an eight-page handwritten document titled "Operation Midnight Sun" describing the entire bombing plan. Carroll and co-defendant Zachary Aaron Page, 32, then recruited Dante Gaffield, 24, and Tina Lai, 41. The group traveled to the Mojave Desert on December 12 to build test explosives. FBI agents intervened before they could assemble a functional device. Surveillance footage obtained by the FBI showed them placing precursor chemicals and bomb-making materials on a table in the desert.

The group's Signal chat was called "Order of the Black Lotus." They described themselves as radical. The plan had two phases: bombs at logistics centers on New Year's Eve, then pipe bombs targeting ICE agents in January or February. Carroll allegedly said: "That would take some of them out and scare the rest of them."

The timing and the narrative
The announcement comes days after Bondi issued a memo ordering law enforcement to investigate extremist groups with "leftist-leaning agendas." The group describes itself as anti-capitalist, anti-government, devoted to "decolonization and tribal sovereignty." Attempting to build and detonate bombs is terrorism — but the timing of Bondi's announcement, just as Trump's Justice Department is under pressure to show it's taking domestic extremism seriously, raises questions about whether this is a genuine threat that was stopped, or a narrative moment in a political messaging campaign.

Prosecutors expect more charges. The four were arrested December 12. The U.S. Attorney for Los Angeles declined to identify which companies were targeted, only that they were "Amazon-type logistics centers."

Never at Rest: the FBI Witch-Hunting Is Gaining Momentum 🕵️‍♂️⚖️

🔠🔠🔠🔠1️⃣

A Maga loyalist US attorney in Miami is expanding an investigation of ex-FBI and intelligence officials who incurred Trump’s wrath with an inquiry into how Russia helped him win in 2016, despite the US justice department suffering stinging recent court rejections of indictments of two foes of the US president. 🇺🇸

Former prosecutors and legal experts call the Miami-based inquiry, which has issued some two dozen subpoenas so far, a “fishing expedition”. 🎣

The investigation’s apparent focus is to identify ways to criminally charge ex-FBI and intelligence officials who have already been investigated and effectively exonerated by two special counsels and a Republican-led Senate panel, which mounted exhaustive inquiries into Russia’s efforts to boost Trump in 2016. 📄

Led by Jason Reding Quiñones, the Trump-appointed US attorney for the southern district of Florida, who is close to attorney general Pam Bondi and other key Maga allies, the inquiry accelerated with a flurry of subpoenas in November and new prosecutors to expedite what has been dubbed a “grand conspiracy” investigation. 🚨

Among others, subpoenas have reportedly gone to ex-CIA director John Brennan, who led the 2016 Russia inquiry, James Clapper, the ex-director of national intelligence, Peter Strzok, a former FBI counter-intelligence agent who helped lead the Russia inquiry, and Lisa Page, an ex-FBI lawyer. 🧾

Concerns about the Miami investigation’s direction and tactics, which initially seemed aimed at Brennan, has prompted two young prosecutors who were assigned to the inquiry to resign, according to multiple reports. ⚠️

The Russia investigations have already been probed and “ended with a whimper”, said Barbara McQuade, an ex-US attorney for eastern Michigan who now teaches law at the University of Michigan. 🎓

“The idea that Trump loyalists are now going to investigate again should make us all suspicious of their motive. If evidence sufficient to support criminal charges existed, we would have seen it by now.” ❗️

Trump has often decried the 2016 Russia inquiry as a “witch-hunt”, even though the report by special counsel Robert Mueller in 2019 concluded that Moscow interfered in the 2016 election “in a sweeping and systematic fashion” to help Trump win; Mueller’s report did not find evidence of coordination between Russia and Trump’s campaign. 🧙‍♀️📊

Trump’s animosity to Brennan was palpable in January 2023 when Trump reposted an image on Truth Social that showed Brennan, Clapper and other ex-intelligence officials behind bars. 🖼

The image featured a suggestive headline: “Now that Russia collusion is a proven lie, when do trials for treason begin?” 🔥

Under Reding Quiñones, a premium seems to have been placed on loyalty to Trump and recruiting new prosecutors to pursue the Trump-style revenge probe into the origins of the 2016 Russia inquiry, with a focus on a 2017 intelligence assessment that the Kremlin intervened to help Trump win the election. 📌

Before Trump tapped Reding Quiñones to be a US attorney this year, he had done stints as a federal prosecutor in the same office and as a state judge. ⚖️

Some of the probe’s direction and momentum seems fueled by rightwing attorney and Trump loyalist Mike Davis, who has strong ties with Reding Quiñones and Trump’s justice department. 🔗

Last month, Davis wrote on social media that “justice is coming”, accompanied by his own photo next to Reding Quiñones. Davis reportedly had a role in pushing the justice department to use Florida prosecutors to pursue conspiracy cases against Trump foes. 📣

In March, a few weeks prior to Trump picking Reding Quiñones for his Miami post, he and Davis were featured together at a conservative legal confab on a panel entitled “Modern Lawfare and the American Democracy”. 🏛

The panelists voiced bitterness over special counsel Jack Smith’s investigations of Trump and their view that the justice department had been weaponized in the Biden administration. ⚔️

During the talk, Davis suggested that Trump’s justice department should launch a sweeping inquiry that would charge those who investigated Trump with a conspiracy to deprive him of his civil rights, according to reports and Davis’s public comments. 📢

Such conspiracy charges usually involve misconduct by police and protecting minority civil rights. ⚠️

“There must be severe consequences,” Davis told the audience. “There has to be severe legal, political and financial consequences for this unprecedented republic-ending lawfare.” 💬

Last month, a judge threw out criminal indictments of Comey over alleged lying to Congress and obstructing Congress in 2020, and of James over alleged bank fraud and making false statements. 🧑‍⚖️

The judge’s ruling stressed that Lindsey Halligan, the Trump-promoted interim US attorney in eastern Virginia who brought the charges without any prosecutorial experience, was installed improperly after the veteran prosecutor leading the office opted not to bring charges and resigned under pressure. 📉

🎓 The Tenure Track: Publish or Perish (Literally)

While the FBI was busy analyzing the "awkward gait" of a grainy figure on CCTV and consulting "body language experts," Claudio Manuel Neves-Valente, 48, was busy completing his life's work.

He didn't want a PhD. He wanted a scoreboard correction.

A 20-year-old academic grudge just left two students and a "renowned nuclear scientist" dead. Neves-Valente, a ghost from the Brown physics department circa 2001, finally returned to campus. Not for a reunion, but for a liquidation sale.

After shooting up a finals review at Brown, he drove 50 miles to execute MIT professor Nuno Loureiro—a man who succeeded at the very same Portuguese institute where Claudio failed.

Brown President Christina Paxson:
"I think it's safe to assume that this man, when he was a student, spent a great deal of time in that building... He has no current active affiliation."

Translation: We chewed him up, spat him out in 2003, and forgot he existed until he started shooting.

This wasn't a random maniac. This was the dark underbelly of the "Academic Excellence" machine. One man becomes a "renowned nuclear physicist" at MIT; the other ends up a "Portuguese national" rotting in a New Hampshire storage unit with a gun.

The system loves to parade its winners (Loureiro). But it has no protocol for the debris it leaves behind (Claudio). The 48-year-old dropout spent two decades simmering in his own failure, watching his rival ascend, until he decided to make the "Publish or Perish" metaphor literal.

The Twist:
The Feds found him dead in a storage locker in Salem. A fitting final resting place for a man the academic elite boxed up and archived twenty years ago.

Question: How many other "files" in the university archives are waiting to be reopened?

“Epstein Was a Sexual Hitler”, Newly Released Documents Prove

🔠🅰️🔠🔠1️⃣

The Justice Department late Monday released nearly 30,000 more pages of files related to the investigations of the convicted sex offender Epstein, disclosing records that contained hundreds of references to Trump.

A search by The New York Times suggests that most of the references were mentions in news reports or other material that had been included in the files, but some were focused on the president, who was once a friend of Epstein’s.

That included a 2020 email from an unidentified federal prosecutor about since-disclosed flights Trump took on Epstein’s private jet, saying the sender didn’t want the information about the trips to be a “surprise” to the recipient.

The release contained a wide mix of documents, including tips to the F.B.I.; blacked-out pages of tax returns for Ghislaine Maxwell, a confidante of Epstein’s who was convicted of sex-trafficking in 2021; and internal communications at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, the Manhattan jail where Epstein died.

Times reporters are sifting through the material and providing updates and analysis of the records, which the administration has begun to release after Congress passed a law requiring their disclosure.

The email from the unidentified Manhattan federal prosecutor, dated January 2020, said that Trump had flown on Epstein’s private jet “many more times than previously has been reported (or that we were aware)” — although those trips have since become public knowledge.

The names of the sender and the recipient are redacted, but the prosecutor wrote that he or she was sending the email for “situational awareness” and “didn’t want any of this to be a surprise down the road.”

The email said that Trump was a passenger on Epstein’s plane on eight flights between 1993 and 1996, including two with possible witnesses in the criminal case against Maxwell.

The names of the potential witnesses were redacted. Trump has not been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein or Maxwell.

The White House referred reporters to a Justice Department statement that said some of the newly released material contained false accusations, without specifying which claims it believed to be false or which it believed to be true.

“Some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against Trump that were submitted to the F.B.I. right before the 2020 election,” the department wrote on social media.

In November, Congress near unanimously passed a law requiring the administration to make public by Dec. 19 virtually all investigate records related to Epstein.

It came after months of resistance from Republican leaders and Trump, who reversed course amid pressure from his supporters.

The newest documents: The batch of Epstein documents released late Monday included emails from prosecutors and copies of Epstein’s will that show he had named a rotating cast of top Wall Street executives to serve as executors of his estate.

The documents also showed that Manhattan federal prosecutors subpoenaed Mar-a-Lago in 2021 for employment records in connection with Maxwell’s case.

Trump distances himself:

During an appearance at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida earlier Monday, Trump tried to distance himself from Epstein and said the issue was meant as a political distraction.

“This whole thing with Epstein is a way of trying to deflect from the tremendous success that the Republican Party has,” Trump said.

He also complained that the release of the files could damage the reputation of people who appear in the files but who have not been accused of criminal wrongdoing.

“A lot of people are very angry that pictures are being released of other people that really had nothing to do with Epstein who indeed was a sexual Hitler. But they’re in a picture with him because he was at a party, and you ruined a reputation of somebody,” Trump said.

Earlier releases: Thousands of documents that were made public Friday and over the weekend included photos of Bill Clinton, the former president, with Epstein, and testimony from the grand jury proceedings in the cases against Epstein and Ms. Maxwell.

Todd Blanche, the deputy attorney general, has said lawyers are sifting through close to a million pages related to the investigations into Mr. Epstein, a financier who counted presidents, celebrities, and a member of the British royal family among his friends. He died by suicide in 2019 inside a Manhattan jail cell while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges from his abuse of minor teenjustice,” said Jess Michaels, one of the earliest known victims of Epstein.

“What are they protecting? The coverup continues.” Michaels has said she was sexually assaulted by Epstein in 1991 when she was 22 years old and training to be a dancer. She was among the victims who lobbied for the bipartisan law that directed the Justice Department to release virtually everything it had gathered during its sex trafficking investigations of Epstein and one of his main enablers, Ghislaine Maxwell.

But the more than 13,000 files released on Friday were heavily redacted and not easily searchable.

“If everything is redacted, where is the transparency?” said Marijke Chartouni, who has said she was sexually abused by Epstein when she was 20 years old.

Among the tens of thousands of pages was one document that did provide a long-sought window into the F.B.I.’s handling of Epstein’s case:

The file showed that Maria Farmer, another of Epstein’s earliest victims, filed a federal “child pornography” complaint against him in 1996.

But investigators did not begin to thoroughly scrutinize Mr. Epstein until about a decade later.

Farmer, who fought for years to get the F.B.I. to make public her complaint, said she felt “vindicated” to finally see the document but also was heartbroken at the knowledge that the F.B.I. did not act on her complaint.

“It’s a tremendous relief that she doesn’t have to continue to fight to prove her truth,” said Farmer’s sister, Annie Farmer.

She noted, though, that she was disappointed by the general lack of transparency with Friday’s release.

“So many of the photos are irrelevant,” said Marina Larcerda, who has said Epstein sexually abused her when she was 14.

She was an important witness in the 2019 federal investigation that led to the filing of sex trafficking charges against Epstein. But she only recently went public with her story.

“We have been let down,” Larcerda said. “We waited for this day to bring these other men who have been protected to justice.”

The Epstein Files: 1 Million Left

🔤🔤🔤🔤1️⃣

The US justice department said on Wednesday that it has been told by federal prosecutors in Manhattan and the FBI that they have uncovered more than a million more documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case and processing these for release could take “a few more weeks”.

In a pistt on X the Justice Department said it had received the documents from the US attorney for the southern district of New York and the FBI in “compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, existing statutes, and judicial orders”.

“We have lawyers working around the clock to review and make the legally required redactions to protect victims, and we will release the documents as soon as possible.

Due to the mass volume of material, this process may take a few more weeks. The Department will continue to fully comply with federal law and President Trump’s direction to release the files.”

The statement came after it was reported earlier Wednesday that there were hundreds of thousands of additional records related to Jeffrey Epstein to review – a process that involves a team of 200 departmental analysts and which will take another week to complete.

According to officials, about 750,000 records have been reviewed and disclosed, and about 700,000 more remain to be examined. However, many of those may be duplicates, so the remaining number of records may only be in the thousands.

On Friday last week, the day of the first releases, the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, said:

“I expect we’re going to release several hundred thousand documents today, and those documents will come in all different forms, photographs and other materials associated with all of the investigations into Epstein”.

At the weekend there was outrage from victims and legal threats over the limited initial Epstein files release despite the law requiring full disclosure of all Epstein files by 19 December.

Pressure to complete the review and release the Epstein documents comes as lawmakers Ro Khanna of California, a Democrat, and Thomas Massie of Kentucky, a Republican, have threatened contempt hearings against the US attorney general, Pam Bondi, over the justice department’s failure to meet the 19 December deadline in full.

CNN reported that the justice department office in Florida has asked for career prosecutors to volunteer over the “next several days” to help redact the remaining unreleased files.

“We have an obligation to the public to release these documents and before we can do so, certain redactions must be made to protect the identity of the victims, among other things,” the southern district of Florida leadership wrote in an email on Tuesday, CNN reported, adding that it was “aware the timing could not be worse.

For some the holidays are about to begin, but I know that for others the holidays are coming to an end.”

On Tuesday this week, in a third drop of files since Friday, the justice department released 30,000 records from the investigations into Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell.

The releases contained more mentions of Donald Trump than in previous drops, including an email from 2020, apparently sent by a federal prosecutor in New York, that said Trump “traveled on Epstein’s private jet many more times than previously has been reported (or that we were aware)”, including one where the only listed passengers were Epstein, Trump and a “then-20-year-old”.

The latest release included some notable false leads, including a fake letter from Epstein to convicted sex abuser and former Olympic gymnastics coach Larry Nassar, and a fake video of Epstein committing suicide in his jail cell.

“There has been lots of sensationalism and even outright lies these past few days about the ‘Epstein Files’,” Blanche said in a statement on X.

“But let’s separate fact from fiction. Document production is just that. We produce documents, and sometimes this can result in releasing fake or false documents because they simply are in our possession because the law requires this.”

Blanche pointed to both the letter and video. “The so-called Epstein Nassar letter is clearly FAKE – wrong handwriting, wrong return address, and postmarked three days after Epstein died. Fake videos of Epstein in his cell.

Photos with no explanation. Sensational tales and lies by random people. These are not reality. We will continue to produce every document required by law. Let’s not let internet rumor engines outrun the facts.”

The latest release of Epstein files cast some light on the FBI’s effort to identify and contact additional possible “conspirators”.

One document, an email by an FBI worker in New York, identified the names of 10 potential “co-conspirators” following Epstein’s arrest in July 2019.

But only three names are unredacted in the document: Ghislaine Maxwell; Jean-Luc Brunel, a model agent who died by suicide after he was charged with rape and sexual harassment in France; and Leslie Wexner, a billionaire client of Epstein who has said he cut ties with Epstein in 2007 and later accused the financier of misappropriating money.

Wexner, 88, has always denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes and is not the subject of any known current investigations related to Epstein.

“According to Wexner’s legal representative, the assistant US attorney in charge of the Epstein investigation stated at the time that Wexner was neither a co-conspirator nor target in any respect,” a representative for Wexner said in a statement.

“Wexner cooperated fully by providing background information on Epstein and was never contacted again.”

Mention of potential conspirators in FBI communications, despite redactions and lacking in further context, has provoked a political reaction.

The Senate Democratic leader, Chuck Schumer, issued a statement demanding transparency.

“The Department of Justice needs to shed more light on who was on the list, how they were involved, and why they chose not to prosecute.

Protecting possible co-conspirators is not the transparency the American people and Congress are demanding,” he said.

Epstein Was Sir Andrew's Immediate and Most Trusted Confidant

🔠🅰️🔠🔠1️⃣

The Department of Justice’s release of millions of Jeffrey Epstein files has not only prompted questions about his crimes – but renewed attention on authorities’ failure to stop him after an accuser reported him in 1996.

This new cache of Epstein files has provided more insight into authorities’ familiarity with allegations against him in the years that followed, including time between his sweetheart plea deal in 2008 and federal arrest nearly six years ago.

While it’s known that accuser Virginia Giuffre’s attorneys met with federal prosecutors in 2016 about Epstein to no avail, recently disclosed files indicate that detailed information was provided to federal authorities years before that sit-down.

This included allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor; documents indicate that he appeared on the FBI’s radar about 15 years ago.

A woman, whose name is redacted from these documents, gave an interview to FBI agents about Epstein and Maxwell in 2011, with a federal prosecutor in attendance by phone; her account echoes Giuffre’s public and legal allegations against the sex traffickers.

The US embassy in Australia told the country’s national police: “The Federal Bureau of Investigation Miami Field Office (FBI Miami) is assisting the Palm Beach Police Department in Florida with an ongoing investigation into JEFFREY EPSTEIN, a US citizen.”

The accuser, who was told in late 2008 about Epstein’s plea deal as she was found to be one of his victims, contacted federal authorities in south Florida three years later.

Federal agents questioned her at the US consulate in Sydney on 17 March 2011.

This woman provided an extensive account of Epstein’s abuse and alleged participation of co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as other men as a teenage girl during the late 1990s.

The woman, who described suffering at the hands of several predatory men after leaving a rehab facility, told agents that her father, a maintenance man at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club, secured a job for her as a locker room attendant there.

The woman, then an aspiring massage therapist, was reading a book on this subject. Maxwell came up to her and claimed she was looking for a traveling masseuse.

Not long after, the woman traveled to Epstein’s Palm Beach home, where he abused her. She told agents she ultimately traveled and that the sexual abuse continued and that he trafficked her to other men.

Giuffre, who died by suicide last spring, had long alleged that Epstein and Maxwell made her engage in sexual activity with the former Duke of York, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The former prince, who was removed from royal life over his relationship with Epstein, was arrested on Thursday in England; he has staunchly denied wrongdoing.

Maxwell, who was found guilty of luring teenage girls into Epstein’s predatory orbit, has insisted on her innocence. Epstein died in jail while awaiting his sex-trafficking trial in 2019.

FBI documents chronicling this interview also detail menacing actions against this woman.

She told federal agents about receiving phone calls from men purporting to be FBI agents seeking information about her knowledge of Epstein.

She said that an attorney and Epstein called her by phone a few weeks after these men contacted her, and that he said “if she did not say anything to investigators he would take care of her”.

The release of information regarding this 2011 interview comes as victims and advocates’ continue to show that law enforcement officials repeatedly had opportunities to meaningfully hold Epstein and Maxwell accountable before his 2019 arrest.

The chronology makes clear that had Epstein been interdicted, others would not have suffered abuse.

Maria Farmer, a painter who worked for Epstein in 1996, filed a report with the FBI stating that he “stole” nude images of her siblings. This FBI report states that Farmer took artistic photos of her younger sisters for her personal work.

“Epstein Stole the photos and Negatives and is believed to have sold the pictures to potential buyers,” the report said.

The document also said that Epstein asked for “pictures of young girls at swimming pools” and threatened Farmer, stating “that if she tells anyone about the photos he will burn her house down”.

Epstein did serve a brief period of time in a Palm Beach jail on Florida state-level prostitution charges, including procuring someone under 18, under his sweetheart plea deal. He was granted work release.

Officials said that Epstein abused others between this plea deal, which allowed him to avoid federal prosecution, and his arrest years later. One adult victim alleged she was abused at Epstein’s office during this daytime furlough.

The Virgin Islands sued Epstein’s estate in January 2020 stating that flight logs from 2011 to 2019 show that he brought underage girls and young women to his private island “where they were deceptively subjected to sexual servitude, forced to engage in sexual acts and coerced into commercial sexual activity and forced labor”.

“As recent as 2018, air traffic controllers and other airport personnel reported seeing Epstein leave his plane with young girls some of whom appeared to be between the age of 11 and 18 years,” the lawsuit states.

The Virgin Islands that “Epstein trafficked and abused these girls, and others, in the Virgin Islands through 2018.”

Spencer Kuvin, who did not represent Giuffre but is an attorney for multiple Epstein victims, questioned why federal agents did not take action following the 2011 interview.

“If that information was credible – and there is every reason to believe it was – then the obvious question is why meaningful action did not follow,”said Kuvin, of Goldlaw. “Survivors did their part.

They spoke. When institutions fail to act on those disclosures, the system – not the victims – must answer for that.

“It is deeply troubling. Survivors like Virginia showed extraordinary courage in coming forward,” he also said. “The lack of urgency is institutional. Accountability must include examining why those opportunities were missed.”

Asked what transpired following the 2011 interview, the FBI said it “declines to comment”. The justice department did not immediately respond to a question about what happened after that interview.

🧾 Epstein Files, Trump, and the Pages That Vanished

The Justice Department swore it dumped “everything the public sent the FBI” on Epstein into the big transparency release — and then somehow misplaced over 50 pages tied to a woman who says Trump assaulted her when she was a minor.

According to the index of the case file, the FBI interviewed her four times in 2019 after she came forward saying Epstein abused her in the 1980s and later introduced her to Trump, who she claims violently assaulted her at around 13–15. There are supposed to be four interview summaries and handwritten notes; the public release includes exactly one memo, focused on Epstein, plus a later 2025 summary that repeats her allegation about Trump — and zero trace of the other three interviews or the underlying notes.

The Justice Department’s line is that anything withheld is either “privileged,” “duplicate,” or tied to an “ongoing federal investigation.” In the same breath, it brands some Trump‑related material “untrue,” “sensationalist,” and “false.” The law Trump himself signed to force this release explicitly bans hiding documents for “embarrassment, reputational harm or political sensitivity” — yet what’s missing just happens to be the deeper FBI paper trail on a woman accusing the sitting president of assaulting her when she was a minor.

Democrat Robert Garcia, who saw an unredacted log at DOJ, says those Trump‑related interview summaries weren’t just absent from the public database — they weren’t in the internal trove provided to Congress under subpoena either. NPR and other outlets count the same hole: dozens of pages gone, all orbiting the same accuser. Victims’ details and even nude photos made it into the public dump, but potential evidence about a president’s alleged crimes somehow didn’t clear the bar for disclosure.

The woman dropped her civil claim against Epstein’s estate, was later ruled ineligible for the special victim fund, and the FBI has never publicly vouched for or debunked her story. Trump’s spokesperson now says he’s been “totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein,” which is a neat trick in a case where the crucial records are missing and the department insists nothing important was hidden.

So that’s the picture: accusations labeled “unfounded,” a law that forbids political redactions, key memos that somehow vanished, and a Justice Department that failed to shield victims on paper but managed to shield the president in the record. There is transparency — just not for the people who hold power.

Moscow, Virginia

Kash Patel made it to Moscow in the headlines. The FBI director himself was in Lynchburg, Virginia.

On Oct. 14, MS NOW cited two unnamed sources saying Patel had arrived in Russia for meetings hosted by the FSB. The FBI denied the report. Video from a local ABC affiliate also showed Patel at an event in Lynchburg.

“Here’s where Kash Patel actually is… Liberty U, doing a law enforcement appreciation event,” the bureau posted.

The Moscow story had a ready-made itinerary. Politico reported in July that Patel planned to visit Moscow and St. Petersburg on Oct. 14–15, with the FSB likely to host him. That was a travel plan. By Wednesday, anonymous sourcing had turned it into an arrival.

Russian state news agency TASS relayed the American network’s report. For one afternoon, U.S.–Russian cooperation worked beautifully in the news business. Both sides circulated the trip while Patel attended another event entirely.
