RB Salzburg v FC Bayern München - Friendly Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images via Getty Images Will Bayern Munich get a deal done with Alphonso Davies? According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) the agent for Alphonso Davies (Nick Huoseh) is in Bavaria for meetings with Bayern Munich this week: Alphonso Davies’ agent, Nick Househ, is in Munich this week for the possibly decisive contract negotiations with FC Bayern. Max Eberl and Christoph Freund are said to be very positive about finally being able to agree on a new contract with the left-back. Davies could be the first domino of several important contracts that Bayern want to extend, including Musiala and Kimmich.Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg backed up the report as well — and gave a positive outlook on what might happen: ⤵️⏳ As exclusively revealed in December: Alphonso #Davies, on the verge of extending his contract with FC Bayern long-term ✔️… important talks with his agent Nick Huoseh scheduled this week in Munich. Bayern want to enter the final stage now. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also checked in with his information: Alphonso Davies’ agent Nick Huoseh, in Munich this week for talks with Bayern as the club keeps trying to extend his contract.Discussions to take place in Germany as BILD reported today, face to face meeting planned.Final decision still up to Alphonso. The meetings could be a good sign for the Bavarians at a time where they might need some good news when it comes to contract talks. Regardless, this could just be the initial step in a process for Davies, which could include discussions with other clubs like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC, and others. FC Bayern München v Paris Saint-Germain - UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD5 Photo by Marco Steinbrenner/DeFodi Images via Getty Images Can you just make it a package deal? According to a report from Sky Sport journalists Florian Plettenberg and Kerry Hau, things have, indeed, taken a step back between Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies — with the player’s camp pushing for more money: On Wednesday, further negotiations took place between Alphonso #Davies’ advisor Nick Huoseh and Max Eberl. However, the discussions were marked by significant tension as new demands emerged despite substantial progress being made since December.Davies and his advisors are now demanding much more than €20m per year, including an exorbitant signing fee – an amount Bayern are unwilling to pay. New talks today. Meanwhile, Real Madrid have increased their offer and are applying pressure, as reported by Marca and confirmed. However, Bayern are not giving up.This does not sound good and supports other reports, which indicate that the sides were growing apart and not coming closer together. Stay tuned...Looking for more commentary and analysis of Bayern Munich’s 5-0 bashing of Hoffenheim? FC Bayern München v TSG 1899 Hoffenheim - Bundesliga Photo by Harry Langer/DeFodi Images via Getty Images FC Hollywood all over again... Two of the most important contract situations at the moment for Bayern Munich involve Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies. What if, though, the “best friends” attempted to conjoin their futures? What if, the duo sought out to work together — and off of each other against Bayern Munich? That might not be too far off from the truth per Sky Sport journalists Florian Plettenberg and Kerry Hau: Jamal #Musiala has made it clear internally that he wants his best friend Alphonso #Davies to extend his contract. Similarly, Davies has directly tied his extension to Musiala’s future. Both players want to continue playing together at Bayern, and the club’s management is well aware of this. These desires are part of the ongoing negotiations. However, Davies’ agent is aligning his salary demands with the terms being negotiated for Musiala, which is currently complicating discussions. It is not wholly shocking that two close friends want to play together. However, Davies’ agent (Nick Huoseh)— who has been a handful for Bayern Munich to deal with so far — trying to play his client’s offer off of Musiala is a bit of dirty pool given how different their respective positions are valued.Musiala’s total salary package could end up being as high €20-€25 million per season, which would be an insane comparison for Nick Huoseh to make. As a left-back, Davies should not approach anywhere near that figure. If you want to double-down on the drama, well, Sport1’s Stefan Kumberger has you covered. Per his report (via @iMiaSanMia), Huoseh wants to “make things difficult” for Bayern Munich because he caught a stray from Uli Hoeneß last summer: Alphonso Davies’ agent Nick Huoseh will be leaving Munich tomorrow without an agreement with Bayern. Huoseh makes no secret of the fact that he wants to ‘make things difficult for Bayern’. He made that known in ‘agent circles’ last week. In addition, Davies’ agent is still angry about comments made by Uli Hoeneß last summer, who said that ‘some agents did not even know there’s air in the ball.’ #FCHollywood4Life!Anyway, this is all shaking out into quite a debacle and now Musiala is loosely tied to this nonsense. It might just not be a true Bayern Munich transfer window without some random craziness.Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show Season 4, Episode 27Bayern Munich is fresh off a 5-0 stomping of Hoffenheim, but the club could be facing bigger battles in the boardroom than on the pitch these days. Let’s talk about it all. This is what we have on tap for this episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:Here comes the winger surge — and how about Mathys Tel making some progress?Let’s talk about Bayern Munich’s rumored signing of Tom Bischof. What it means, what about the timing, and how likely is it that the deal is already fully done?Is Jonas Urbig the next one? Bayern Munich might have its limits in how good it feels about the FC Köln goalkeeper. What’s going on with Alphonso Davies? Should we make anything out of the Ousmane Diomande rumors?Song of the Week: “Dopamine” by Sum 41It can be hard for an alt-rock band (particularly one who is closer to pop-punk) to age in today’s world, but Sum 41 is making a return to the scene with an album, which is getting some serious airplay in Philadelphia.“Dopamine” is one of the songs getting some run and it caught my attention. I’ve got some Sum 41 in my library, but cannot confess to have been an avid follower over the past 20 years. With songs like “Dopamine” and “Landmines”, though, they’re definitely getting my attention. Borussia Mönchengladbach v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Marco Steinbrenner/DeFodi Images via Getty Images Here we go? Maybe... According to a report from The Athletic, Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies are nearing a deal that will keep the Canadian in Bavaria. This comes just a day after things appeared to have hit rock bottom in talks that were — allegedly — filled with tension: Bayern Munich are close to an agreement with Alphonso Davies over a new contract. The Canada (CANMNT) captain’s existing terms with the Bundesliga club are set to expire at the end of the season leaving him free to speak to overseas clubs. But after months of talks only a small gap remains between Bayern and the 24-year-old left-back’s expectations on a proposed four-year deal.Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano chimed in as well: Bayern are close to completing the agreement to extend Alphonso Davies’ contract, talks advancing.Positive meeting this afternoon with the player’s agent with Bayern improving financial proposal, as per @TheAthleticFCFinal details to clarify but now progressing well.Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg also confirmed the new and said there was progress after the blowup on Wednesday: BREAKING | Yes, Alphonso #Davies is now close to extending his contract until at least 2029, with 2030 also a possibility ✔️Today, new negotiations took place between Max Eberl and his agent Nick Huoseh. There was significant progress after Wednesday’s conflict after @TheAthletic.The clear trend now: Davies will extend. Some terms still need to be finalized.Looking to get ready for Bayern Munich vs. Wolfsburg? Then why not do it with the Bavarian Podcast Works — Preview Show?
