Liverpool fans react to reports Klopp is ready to coach Bayern
According to former Germany defender Christoph Metzelder, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is the best choice to replace Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern.Bayern sacked Carlo Ancelotti last week following their 3-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League. So far the names being linked with the hot seat at Bayern areHoffenheim boss Julian Nagelsmann, Liverpool manager Klopp, former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique and the currently unemployed Thomas Tuchel. Here is how Liverpool fans reacted to the news on social media…Arsenal has to decide quick whether they wanna go for Tuchel or Ancelotti – cos Klopp may leave Liverpool for Bayern, tho maybe unlikely…— fan_3 (@fangetsu) October 4, 2017Great fine, @VintageSaIah…Klopp to Bayern? Don't be ridiculous.. He laughs when they lose! 😂

His status as a Bayern target has been in a quandary primarily because of the fee he would require and the fact that he does not currently have a release clause in his contract with ‘Gladbach because it’s expired.Per Sport1’s Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool is now interested in bringing the midfielder to Merseyside. Jurgen Klopp is keen on signing him as a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who has just completed a move to Ligue 1’s Paris Saint-Germain, stepping in at the last minute to beat Barcelona to his signature. Wijnaldum was also a Bayern target for a short window last month.Per Plettenberg, Liverpool has already had discussions with Neuhuas and his representatives about a potential move to Anfield, but no official offers have been lodged yet. For now, the 24-year old is fully focused on the Euros with the German National team, but talks could really intensify once the tournament ends for Die Mannschaft. It’s likely that Liverpool would have to pay at least €40m to acquire his services and even Neuhaus himself had recently said “I can very well imagine a move abroad.” Whether that means Liverpool in the Premier League remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain, Klopp is seriously interested in bringing him to Anfield as a Wijnaldum replacement this summer.Update #Neuhaus: #Klopp wants him, confirmed! There have already been talks in the past few days. The club want to replace #Wijnaldum. But there is no offer yet. The topic could become hot after the Euros. Price: More than €40m. No release clause. @SPORT1 #LFC— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) June 11, 2021Update #Neuhaus (2/2): Among all the teams from the @premierleague, @LFC is currently the club that has deposited its interest most concretely. Neuhaus told us @SPORT1 (last week): „I can very well imagine a move abroad.“ His future will become clear after the Euros. #LFC— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) June 11, 2021Liverpool has also been linked with Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans and AS Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini, but Neuhaus, at this point, seems to be where the most concrete interest is. With Wijnaldum already gone, Jordan Henderson having fitness concerns at 30 years of age, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s fitness, and Naby Keita’s horrendous injury record at Liverpool, Neuhaus could be a perfect option for Klopp. He’s young, versatile, and rarely gets injured, which is something Liverpool could desperately need given their recent injury woes.Bayern is not willing to pay…

Others, however, lamented that the Bavarians are likely out on Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, while another sect of folks worried that overpaying for Choupo-Moting might prevent Bayern Munich from making other moves.Whatever the case, it is clear that Bayern Munich is moving forward with Choupo-Moting and Mathys Tel as its options at striker for next season:For the time being, a transfer from England’s superstar Harry Kane (29) is less likely - at least in the coming summer. Kane’s market value is 90 million euros, his contract with Tottenham Hotspur expires in 2024. Does Bayern then strike free of charge? Recently, Frankfurt attacker Randal Kolo Muani (24) was also associated with the Munich team. But for the time being, Bavaria relies on Choupo-Moting - and on jewel Mathys Tel (17). The coming weeks should give fans an idea of how things might function at the top of the formation for next season. It should also be noted that this news echoes that Sport1’s Kerry Hau also reported, which we covered here.Firmino set to leave LFC (@Plettigoal)It looks like Roberto Firmino is set to leave Liverpool FC after this season:Excl. VfL Bochum 1848 v FC Bayern München - Bundesliga Photo by Marco Steinbrenner/DeFodi Images via Getty Images Bayern Munich is hiring a new manager...again. With the news dropping earlier today that Bayern Munich will part ways with head coach Thomas Tuchel, the club is now moving on searching for its next manager. Abendzeitung reporter Maximilian Koch tweeted out that there is no confirmed replacement for Tuchel just yet: The successor to #Tuchel for the summer has not yet been determined, the intensive search starts now. The hope of the Munich team is that the early announcement of the separation will now have a liberating effect on the players and also on Tuchel. Will that work? #FCBayern @AbendzeitungSky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg is reporting that Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso is a serious candidate: X News Xabi #Alonso: The 42 y/o is now the absolute top candidate to replace Thomas #Tuchel at the end of the season ✔️As exclusively revealed today: Tuchel will leave Bayern at the end of the season! @SkySportDESport Bild’s Christian Falk has information that Bayern Munich will attempt to stop Alonso from making a move to Liverpool FC: True✅ Bayern will try to highjack a Transfer-Deal of @LFC Liverpool with Xabi Alonso, if Alonso decide to leave Bayer Leverkusen in Summer @BILD_SportWhile Falk’s wording is a bit all over the place, you get the point. If Alonso is leaving Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich will make an effort to keep him in Germany. Plettenberg also noted that Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp will not be the coach at Bayern Munich next season: The possibility of Jürgen #Klopp becoming the coach of FC Bayern in the summer is currently “100 %“ ruled out, sources confirm. ➡️ Klopp remains firmly committed to taking a one-year break! @SkySportDEBayern Munich’s next move will be key — and needs to be a viable, long-term candidate for a club, whose managerial situation has been in a constant state of flub since Pep Guardiola was at the helm. Liverpool FC v Wolverhampton Wanderers - Premier League Photo by John Powell/Liverpool FC via Getty Images That’s a pretty significant chunk of change. When Red Bull announced the signing of former Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp as their Global Head of Football, it sent shockwaves throughout Germany. Borussia Dortmund fans felt especially betrayed, as RB Leipzig, by way of their circumvention of the 50+1 rule, is one of the most hated teams in German football. How much did it cost Red Bull to pull off this coup, and what are Klopp’s plans going forward? Well, Florian Plettenberg has some answers for us: At this stage, Jürgen #Klopp is planning that he might not appear in any stadium until the end of the current 2024/2025 season ✔️

In the first few months of his tenure starting in January 2025, he intends to work in the background and will be traveling a lot, getting a feel… pic.twitter.com/TVQjuDiTCk— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) October 13, 2024At this stage, Jürgen #Klopp is planning that he might not appear in any stadium until the end of the current 2024/2025 season ✔️In the first few months of his tenure starting in January 2025, he intends to work in the background and will be traveling a lot, getting a feel for the Red Bull teams on-site.The 57y/o has signed a long-term contract with a salary of €10-12m gross per year, but it’s not a five-year deal. Before this appointment was announced, many hoped that Klopp would take over for Julian Nagelsmann at the German national team after his post-Liverpool sabbatical. Now, while it’s not been taken off the table completely, such a move may not be as certain as it once was. It’s unlikely that the DFB would be ready to match whatever Red Bull is currently paying him. Still, there are reports that his current contract has a mutually agreed upon exit clause.
