(Tz)Bayern Munich is reportedly taking a close look at Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Manu Koné: The summer transfer phase was extremely chaotic at FC Bayern. First the endless back and forth about dream player Harry Kane, then the mess on deadline day surrounding the failed transfer of João Palhinha. The record champions had to struggle with failures and a thin squad for the entire first half of the season. In winter you want to add more to the transfer market. In addition to a player who can play both the position of central defender and right-back, a defensive midfielder is on Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel’s wish list. As the French portal Sports Zone reports, Manu Koné from Borussia Mönchengladbach is said to be a candidate for FC Bayern.Koné is no stranger to FC Bayern’s list. Already in October, Bild reported on the Munich-based company’s potential interest. “There is contact with management. “You watch him, you look at the extent to which a transfer would be possible,” said Bild reporter Christian Falk.According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Liverpool FC, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the mix for Koné: #PSG added Manu #Kone to their list of midfielders.

Vidović happy with Mainz move (@iMiaSanMia_ger)Bayern Munich’s Gabriel Vidović had a very strong preseason, but breaking into the lineup for the Bavarians on a regular basis was just not going to happen. Knowing that, Bayern Munich collaborated with the player and Mainz 05 on a loan arrangement, which should provide the Croatian attacker with a platform to prove whether or not he can perform on the big stage in Germany. The 20-year-old is thrilled to have the opportunity.“I had very good discussions with the sports director and the coach and immediately got a good feeling. Mainz 05 offers ideal conditions for me to develop further in my sporting career. It was also a conscious decision to go to the Bundesliga,” Vidović said.Napoli-Osimhen situation is wild (@FabrizioRomano)After two years of transfer rumors, Napoli apparently had enough of Victor Osimhen and left him off of its Serie A squad list for the season per Fabrizio Romano: ⛔️ Napoli have officially excluded Victor Osimhen from their Serie A squad list for the season!
Osimhen and Mario Rui are both OUT as Napoli consider them out of the project.
Relationship broken with both players… they also want to leave but on their terms. pic.twitter.com/bLDYkm6RQy— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) August 31, 2024Once Napoli acquired Romelu Lukaku, it had all the leverage it needed to play hardball with Osimhen. Whatever happens from here, really does not matter, the relationship is likely in a state where it cannot be reconciled. Haller has always been a good player, but was never (to me), going to be that player. Having seen Haller play live in Philadelphia a few years ago, I have a lot of respect for his game, but just did not think he would be the striker BVB needed. His bout with cancer was — obviously — a massive hurdle as well. Viel Erfolg in Spanien, Seb!
Wenige Minuten vor dem Ende der Transferperiode hat der BVB Mittelstürmer Sebastien Haller an den spanischen Erstliga-Aufsteiger CD Leganes verliehen.

Bayern Munich was rumored to have interest in the 23-year-old at various points in recent months because of the ties between the player and Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl.
