Fredi Bobic explained that “the rumor that SGE wants to lend the young Serb right back” was “nothing at all”. Ante Rebic (25), on the other hand, will remain in Frankfurt: “It is not planned that we sell him,” said Bobic. There are some reports, however, that indicate that AC Milan could make a run at Jovic: AC Milan are interested in loaning Luka Jovic from Real Madrid, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Brazilian has been linked with a return to Camp Nou throughout the summer, but Sky Sports News understands no formal offer has been made by Barcelona. It is understood PSG want a cash bid as well as players as part of any deal on offer. Their La Liga rivals Real Madrid also remain in talks with the French club to sign the world’s most expensive player.According to Transfer Market Web, however, Juventus could be jockeying for position on Neymar: According to both AS and Mundo Deportivo, Juventus are turning into a serious rival for both Barcelona FC and Real Madrid on signing Brazilian star winger/forward Neymar (27) from PSG. To this end, Italian giants offered French ones the rights on Argentinian international forward Paulo Dybala (25), tracked by the latter regardless, with cash on top of that. Neymar, however, might even end up staying put, for the third season in a row.<a href="https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2019/8/20/20813528/barcelona-furious-after-ousmane-dembeles…

FC Bayern Muenchen v Borussia Moenchengladbach - BundesligaPhoto by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty ImagesAn initial agreement has been reached between David Alaba and Real Madrid. It is no secret that Bayern Munich star David Alaba will be spending the next portion of his career in La Liga with Real Madrid.Rumors have floated for months that have closely linked the Austria international with Los Blancos. Now it appears that the final stages of a deal are being completed as Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the “first part of the contracts” with Madrid have been signed by Alaba:The first part of the contracts for David Alaba transfer to Real Madrid has been signed and completed. He’s joining as a free agent, confirmed. ⚪️ #Real

Official announcement only expected at the end of the season, when all documents will be completed. ⏳ https://t.co/6YmBL5LGXy— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 18, 2021As Romano stated, Real Madrid will not make the signing official under the season ends. Alaba’s final game as a member of Bayern Munich will occur on Saturday against FC Augsburg. It will be fascinating to see how Alaba integrates into the Real Madrid squad. Assuming Zinedine Zidane is still the manager, Alaba could slot in at center-back, left-back, or as a defensive midfielder.Alaba, who has had a not-so-secret desire to play as a midfielder, has been getting the opportunity of late under Hansi Flick.

FC Bayern Muenchen v FC Augsburg - BundesligaPhoto by Alexander Hassenstein/Getty ImagesDavid Alaba is moving to Real Madrid no matter who is the coach.David Alaba’s final game with Bayern Munich was a 5-2 victory over FC Augsburg on Saturday and the Austrian was given a proper send off by the club.According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Alaba’s move to Real Madrid is a done — regardless of who the manager of Los Blancos will be for next season. With Zinedine Zidane rumored to be on the fence about a return to the Santiago Bernabéu, Alaba will still make the move even if the French manager moves on:David Alaba will be joining Real Madrid as a free agent whatever happens with Zinedine Zidane. He’ll be the first new signing of Real also if Zidane decides to leave the club, the pre-contract is completed and agreed since April. ⚪️ #Real— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 24, 2021Alaba’s move has been rumored for months now, so it is no shock that the versatile Austria international will head to Spain no matter what. What will be interesting about this move is exactly what position Alaba will play with Real Madrid. The 28-year-old spent most of the season at center-back for Bayern Munich this season, but did play a fair amount in the defensive midfield toward the end of the season and — of course — made his bones as a dual-threat left-back.

Everton v Wolverhampton Wanderers - Premier LeaguePhoto by Peter Byrne - Pool/Getty ImagesCan Carlo Ancelotti rediscover his magic at Real Madrid?Former Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has left Everton and accepted the job at Real Madrid per an official announcement from the Spanish club:Real Madrid C. F. announces that Carlo Ancelotti will be the club’s first-team coach for the next three seasons. The ceremonial signing of the contract will take place tomorrow with club president Florentino Pérez at Real Madrid City, after which Ancelotti will address the media from 6pm (CET) in an online press conference.Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano capture Ancelotti’s statement on the move:Carlo Ancelotti official statement/farewell: “While I have enjoyed being at Everton I have been presented with an unexpected opportunity which I believe is the right move for me and my family at this time. I’m joining Real Madrid”. #EFC #Real #Ancelotti— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 1, 2021Ancelotti was previously at Real Madrid from 2013 through 2015 before accepting the head coach position at Bayern Munich. Ancelotti’s approach and overall understanding of the Bayern Munich roster turned out to be a major detriment — as did his penchant for nepotism and rampant inflexibility.#WelcomeBackAncelotti

Chelsea v Leeds United - Premier LeaguePhoto by Visionhaus/Getty ImagesBayern Munich might be moving on from a rumored pursuit for Chelsea’s Antonio Rüdiger.According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich will not break the bank for Chelsea defender and Germany international Antonio Rüdiger. While Bayern Munich is currently unsure if it will even be in the market for another center-back, the club has apparently made its mind up that it will not delve into the big money that Rüdiger wants for a salary.Interestingly, Real Madrid are now looking like the frontrunner to capitalize on Rüdiger’s upcoming free agent status, while Tottenham Hotspur has dropped out of the running:Antonio Rüdiger in talks with Chelsea over new contract since months - but agreement still ‘far from being reached’. Real Madrid want to sign him as free agent. #CFC #Real

Bayern have no plans to pay the salary asked by Rüdiger, as things stand. Tottenham not in the race. pic.twitter.com/QPBF5hMLV5— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) December 13, 2021One takeaway from this news is that Bayern Munich is going to exercise some fiscal responsibility given the recent audience restrictions implemented in Bavaria. Another thought is that Bayern Munich could be feeling more confident in its negotiations with defender Niklas Süle. Süle contract runs out in the summer and letting him walk away for free would be an absolute disaster for the club.Whatever the case, things could get wild should the Bavarians need to go shopping for a defender during next summer’s transfer window.

FC Bayern Muenchen v FC Augsburg - Bundesliga Photo by M. Donato/FC Bayern via Getty Images Funny how he didn’t mention Toni Kroos, huh. Speaking to the media after the 6-0 win over Schalke, Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller was asked by kicker about the ongoing Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Manchester City. Both teams drew 1-1 in the first leg, leaving it all to play for at the Etihad this coming week. Muller, who was seen “advising” Thomas Tuchel on the sidelines during Bayern Munich’s CL quarter-final games versus Man City, said he backs Madrid on a personal level. Wird ein top Rückspiel.“ #rmalive #rma— Georg Holzner (@georg_holzner) May 13, 2023Thomas #Müller on the semi-final between #Real and #ManCity : “On a personal level (also because of #Alaba ) I’m more with Real. In terms of football, I find both teams really great, the way they shape the game. Nice to look at. Will be a top second leg.”Funny how he didn’t mention Toni Kroos. Given how balanced the two teams look after the first leg, it’s hard to disagree with Muller’s assessment here. Of course, you should never rule out Madrid in a Champions League knockout — they own that competition. City may have beaten Bayern 4-1 on aggregate this year, but they were helped along by some awful mistakes on the part of the Bayern players and coaching staff. Madrid are rarely ever so accommodating. It’s sad that, for a third consecutive season, we won’t see Bayern Munich competing at the very upper echelons of the UEFA Champions League. A proper knockout stage clash with Real Madrid is long overdue. Oh well, maybe next season will go better.
