Report: Bayern Munich monitoring Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa
MediaHowever, Juventus are considered the front-runners in the race.Due to the imminent departures of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, Bayern Munich have been linked to a lot of wingers lately. The latest suspect — Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa. The Bavarians are said to be monitoring him, but Juventus are considered front-runners for the winger’s signature. Inter Milan are also in the race. The info comes from a tweet by La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira, who tweeted this:Gli occhi del #BayernMünchen su Federico #Chiesa: gli scout bavaresi l'hanno già visionato e promosso da tempo. In pole per l'esterno offensivo resta, però, la #Juventus, con l'#Inter sempre in vigile. Valutazione della #Fiorentina: 80 milioni. #calciomercato— Nicolò Schira (@NicoSchira) April 20, 2019Schira says that Bayern Munich are watching Federico Chiesa, and have scouted him for some time. Juventus are considered in pole position for the winger, and Inter are also interested. Fiorentina wants 80m for the player.Eighty million euros seems like a steep price for a player who has the offensive output of Thorgan Hazard, although granted Chiesa is just 21 years old. However, our friends over at Black and White and Read All Over say that the report isn’t the most reliable, and we should heed their words and take it with a grain of salt. It’s become a trend in the media to link Bayern with wingers across the continent. Report: Bayern Munich has offered Fiorentina €70m for Federico Chiesa

Journalist Nicolò Schira, who works for calciomercato and Gazzetta dello Sport noted that Bayern had been scouting Chiesa for some time, along with Juventus, which he considers to be in “pole position” to sign the attacker. The latest report from Corriere dello sport elaborated further on Bayern’s alleged interest:Federico Chiesa is the first wish of the director of the technical area [i.e. sporting director], Fabio Paratici. Juve has been working for some time to pry him away from Fiorentina (but the Viola hope to resist them) and to preempt very fierce competition, both Italian (Inter, Napoli, Roma) and foreign (Bayern Munich, Liverpool). Bayern in particular has launched a serious offensive in the past few hours, of €70 million.Bayern’s bid would fall €10m below that Schira reported to be Fiorentina’s asking price of €80m. Presuming the offer is genuine, it remains to be seen whether Bayern might raise its bid if one or more of the other teams said to be competing for Chiesa offers more.Chiesa plays predominantly as a right winger for Fiorentina. He thus would conceivably be Serge Gnabry’s battery-mate in that position at Bayern, filling the spot on the roster soon to be vacated by club legend Arjen Robben. Chiesa is in the midst of a good season for Fiorentina. Just 21 years old, he has scored 12 goals and assisted 8 others across competitions, playing just over 2,900 minutes this season. Chiesa’s overall numbers in Serie A and the Coppa Italia are interesting: he has scored half of his goals (6) and one assist in just three Coppa Italia games: 2 against FC Turin, a hat-trick in a 7-1 victory over Roma, and a goal and an assist in the 3-3 semifinal draw against Atalanta Bergamo. Chiesa’s bounty from his 32 league games is somewhat less imposing in comparison: six goals and six assists in 2,646 minutes.Chiesa is nonetheless…

Report: Bayern Munich to sign Sarpreet Singh to 3 year deal
Media The transfer could be announced at any time. Bayern Munich will announce the signing of Wellington Phoenix midfielder Sarpreet Singh shortly, according to this report from the New Zealand Herald. The 20 year old will sign a three year contract with Bayern and is expected to spend at least one season with the reserves in the 3.Liga. The transfer fee will be less than €1 million. While that’s not a lot for Bayern, it’s still a nice fee for an A-League side.Wellington general manager David Dome confirmed the move. “We are thrilled for Sarpreet. This gives him every possible opportunity to continue to develop his football. We accept that the A-League is not going to be the end destination for some players, and they will use it as a stepping stone.”The report states that Singh is already training with the reserves, and since social media is a thing and there are camera phones everywhere, there is video proof of Singh with Bayern II in Austria right now.First images of New Zealand footballer Sarpreet Singh from #FCBAmateure‘s training camp in Stubaital, Austria [@FCBayernEN]. Lineth Beerensteyn leads Bayern Frauen to victory over Frankfurt
FC Bayern Muenchen Women’s Team Presentation Photo by Sebastian Widmann/Getty Images Bayern Munich start the Frauen Bundesliga perfect with two wins from two games. Bayern Munich rolled over FFC Frankfurt 3-0 to win their second straight Frauen Bundesliga game to start the season. Lineth Beerensteyn scored the first two goals for Bayern, for her first goals of the 2019-20 campaign. With six points, Bayern will end the matchday tied on points in first place. Beerensteyn’s opener came in the 30th minute. Amanda Ilestedt played a long ball over the top into open space, and Beerensteyn beat everyone to it. The Dutch forward brought the ball down and finished with composure to put Bayern up 1-0.The Frauen would double their lead around the hour mark. Lina Magull intercepted a pass in midfield and played the ball up to Linda Dallmann. She first-timed her pass over to Beerensteyn who also struck the ball first time to put it in the back of the net for her second of the match.Bayern added their third a few minutes later when Frankfurt defender Sandrine Mauron attempted a clearance, but the ball took a wicked deflection and ended up in the back of the Frankfurt net.Jovana Damnjanovic had to leave the match in the first half after suffering a bloody nose after a collision. Hopefully, it’s not a broken nose, and she won’t be expected to miss any time; however, if she is, Bayern have beefed up the squad with the additions of New Zealand international Ali Riley and Australian international Emily Gielnik. Also, while she didn’t have to be removed from the match, midfielder and captain Melanie Leupolz did have to have her knee severely taped during the match.Bayern XI: Benkarth – Ilestedt, Hendrich (46. Former Wolfsburg and Schalke star, inquired by Juventus, is currently on a deal with PSG until June 2021.Juventus is listed as a possible destination, but one has to wonder if Bayern Munich would not kick the tires on the Germany international. Draxler was on Bayern Munich wish-list as recently as June. Regardless, a move back to the Bundesliga would probably do Draxler well. PSG is currently missing Neymar (possible transfer-induced holdout), Kylian Mbappe (injury), and Edinson Cavani (injury), while former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel seems to be under a bit of heat himself.
