Beware of ❝Ishq❞ Obsessive Infatuation!
Ibn al-Qayyim (ﺭﺣﻤﻪﺍﻟﻠﻪ) said:
❝If a servant of Allah plunges into the sea of ‘ishq (Obsessive Infatuation) and it’s waves played about with him, then he is closer to destruction than to safety.
How could something be praised that prevents mental stability, makes one sleepless, distorts the intellect, and causes insanity? Rather ‘ishq itself is insanity!❞
Rawdatul Muhibbeen (Garden of lovers) - Ibn al-Qayyim (ﺭﺣﻤﻪﺍﻟﻠﻪ)

🔹 Your body has a right over you.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Your body has a right over you, your eyes have a right over you, and your wife has a right over you.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5199)
💭 Reflection:
Islam teaches balance. Taking care of your body is an act of worship. Rest when needed, nourish yourself with halal, sleep adequately, and guard your health. Your eyes need rest. Your spouse needs your attention. Your soul needs Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ also used to make this dua:
اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي، لا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أنْتَ
“O Allah, make me healthy in my body. O Allah, make me healthy in my hearing. O Allah, make me healthy in my sight. There is no deity except You.”
(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 701 – Sahih)
✨ Start your mornings with this dua. Value the health Allah has gifted you before it is taken away.
🤍 May Allah grant us all aafiyah in our body, hearing, and sight. Ameen.
