Something unusual appears to be going on today at RAF Fairford near Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom, with at least 10 C-17A Globemaster IIIs with the U.S. Air Force arriving at the base or currently crossing the Atlantic from the United States. Almost all of the C-17s appear to be out of either Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia, the home of the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and the 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR); or Campbell Army Airfield in Kentucky, which houses the 101st Airborne Division and the 1st/2nd Battalions of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR).

At least seven C-17's are either en route, or have arrived at RAF Fairford today, primarily from Hunter and Campbell Army Airfields. Additional flights have arrived without appearing on tracking sites, therefore I will not display these serials or callsigns.
This is in addition to a C-40 that stopped by earlier in the week, and two U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon's that are currently operating from RAF Mildenhall in the atlantic.

Six from Robert Gray Army Airfield, with four having moved on to Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. The U.S. Army operate various helicopter types from Robert Gray, including CH-47, UH-60, and AH-64's. Until they move on from Germany, I can't say that they're involved in the Middle East build up.
A single C-17 from Hill AFB, home to the 4th, 34th and 421st Fighter Squadron, has arrived at Ramstein.
Summary
This has been quite a busy day of movements. There are also a number of C-17's from the Pacific that I'm tracking, but I can't be sure they're headed this way - yet.

No additional tanker movements today, apart from the CORONET movements. We are still lacking Air Force 5th-gen aircraft in CENTCOM, and I expect to see some move before any strikes take place, plus additional C-17 flights from bases housing air defence equipment.
We're now looking at least fourty seven C-17 flights since the 16 January, fifteen tankers to either Moron or Al Udeid, and an additional four tankers for another CORONET mission.

Four KC-46 Pegasus tankers are positioning from McGuire Air Force Base to Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida on a CORONET East tasking. As they're positioning quite far south, the receivers may make their stop in either Lajes or Moron rather than in the UK, before continuing on to the Middle East.
This is just a quick supplementary update because of the GOLD tanker movements, a full update (including this) will be posted later tonight, hopefully with more information.
