The Event of Mubahala was a #debate between Islamic Prophet Muhammad and the Christians of Najran, where the call was extended to the sons and women.
The #Christians of Najran came to Medina claiming that Isa (Jesus) is divine and the son of Allah. In fact, they meant to determine whether Muhammad’s claims were in accordance with the prophecies of their holy books.
The event is recorded in several Hadith collections and is referred to in the Qur’anic surah Al Imran.

Tell those who dispute this with you even after the knowledge that has reached you: "Come, let us gather our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, and pray and solicit God to condemn those who lie.

🌹 Should anyone argue with you concerning him, after the knowledge that has come to you, then say: ‘Come! Let us call our #sons and your sons, our #women and your women, our #souls and your souls, then let us pray earnestly and call down #Allah’s curse upon the #liars’.

🌸 فَمَنْ حَاجَّکَ فِیهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَکَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَ أَبْنَاءَکُمْ وَ نِسَاءَنَا وَ نِسَاءَکُمْ وَ أَنفُسَنَا وَ أَنفُسَکُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل‌لَّعْنَتَ اللَّـهِ عَلَی الْکَاذِبِینَ ﴿۶۱﴾
🌹هر گاه، بعد از علم و دانشی که (درباره مسیح) به تو رسیده، (باز) کسانی با تو به محاجّه و ستیز برخیزند، به آنها بگو: بیایید ما فرزندان خود را دعوت کنیم، شما هم فرزندان خود را، زنانمان و زنانتان، نفوس‌مان و نفوس‌تان را دعوت کنیم، آن‌گاه مباهله کنیم؛ و لعنت خدا را بر دروغگویان قرار دهیم.
