🎼29 October 1946. Peter Green was born Peter Allen Greenbaum in London, UK: today he would turn 75 but he left this world in 2020 🤷♂️.
#PeterGreen was one of the most appreciated and influential rock blues #guitarist 🎸and songwriters of his generation (1960s-1970s), first replacing #EricClapton in the John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and later as founder and leader of Fleetwood Mac.
He left #FleetwoodMac in 1970 after writing and contributing to iconic songs on the band's first 3 albums. He started a solo career, but he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and soon was marginalized within the music business 😔
In 1977, Green was arrested for threatening his accountant David Simmons with a shotgun, in attempt to stop Simmons to send him money and royalties: Green apparently didn't want to live on his music, which for him had to remain just form of art!
In the Chat Room👇 some music penned by Peter Green.
