30 years ago Faith No More from San Francisco, #USA released their 4rth studio album Angel Dust.
The album followed the great success of their 1989 full-length Epic, which marked #FaithNoMore international breakthrough.
Despite this, the band moved towards a new different music style and a more experimental approach, mainly thanks to the active songwriting contribution of eclectic vocalist and frontman Mike Patton (who entered the band 3 years earlier when Epic was already written).
Angel Dust is to date the best-selling Faith No More album! The single "Easy", cover of the famous #LionelRichie song, was also a massive success.

30 years ago Warrior Soul from New York City, #USA released their 3rd studio album entitled Salutations from the Ghetto Nation.
The album title tells everything about the lyrics, harsh political and social criticism for the USA and the American Way in general. This album is widely considered the best in #WarriorSoul discography, at the time they were at the peak of their career having toured in support of the biggest Heavy Metal bands.
This is also the last Warrior Soul album through a major label (Geffen), the band was in fact against music business rules and this caused them a ban from that in the following years.

35 years ago Jane's Addiction from Los Angeles, #USA, released their debut studio album.
#JanesAddiction had a cult following at the time, most of the songs in Nothing's Shocking were already known by their fan base (the band's previous 1987 realease was in fact a legendary and one of my all time favorite live recording).
That's partly why this album became the first labeled as Alternative Rock / Metal to gain huge commercial success selling 1million in the US only !
The single "Jane Says" (inspired, as the band's name, by Perry Farrel's housemate Jane) became their signature song.

The Real Thing is their first album with new vocalist Mike Patton, who joined #FaithNoMore when the album was musically almost completed and contributed writing the lyrics.
The album marked the band's international breakthrough thanks to a fantastic mix of Heavy Metal, Alternative Rock, Rap, Funk, perfectly shaped by Patton's amazing and eclectic vocals.
In the cassette version (here's my consumed copy in #VeniceRocksRoom☝️) 2 bonus tracks were included: the funky ballad "Edge Of The World" and a cover of the Heavy Metal milestone "War Pig" by #BlackSabbath.
Still one of my all time favorite🤘

If I had to choose an album that best represents the sound of those years, I'd probably go for this one!
