30 years ago Rage Against The Machine from Los Angeles, #USA released their self-titled debut album.
#RageAgainstTheMachine became one of the most iconic albums of the decade and the band the most solid heir of the 👉 American Protest Song.
Zack de la Rocha' screams of rage, Tom Morello's creative and unique guitar playing, anti-system lyrics and the fact that the album came out during the dramatic 1992 USA presidential elections, the shoking album cover with a photo of self-immolation, all contibuted to #RATM worldwide success.
Musically RATM is considered a milestone, highly influential for the entire Alternative and Nu Metal scene that followed.

50 years ago The Who from London, #UK released their 6th studio album.
Issued as a double album, Quadrophenia is a Concept Rock Opera entirely written by Pete Townshend: set in London and Brighton in 1965, it tells the story of a young "mod" named Jimmy and his search for self-worth and importance.
A film version of Quadrophenia directed by Franc Roddam came out in 1979: it was a commercial and critical success, crucial for the Mod Revival movement of the late 1970s / early 1980s.
