🎼16 February 1965. Happy Birthday 🥳🍾 to Dave Lombardo, born in Havana, Cuba, widely known as "The Godfather of Double Bass", one of the most influential drummers🥁 in the Heavy⚡️Metal scene.
#DaveLombardo has been the original #drummer of #Slayer in 1980s and he's currently a member of Suicidal Tendencies, plus numerous side projects along with his friend #MikePatton (Fantômas, Dead Cross, Mr. Bungle). #16February

Here's Lombardo with Slayer 👉 Raining Blood.

Faith No More
📀 Angel Dust
#AlternativeMetal #AvantGardeMetal

30 years ago Faith No More from San Francisco, #USA released their 4rth studio album Angel Dust.
The album followed the great success of their 1989 full-length Epic, which marked #FaithNoMore international breakthrough.
Despite this, the band moved towards a new different music style and a more experimental approach, mainly thanks to the active songwriting contribution of eclectic vocalist and frontman Mike Patton (who entered the band 3 years earlier when Epic was already written).

Angel Dust is to date the best-selling Faith No More album! The single "Easy", cover of the famous #LionelRichie song, was also a massive success.

Faith No More in this album were:
#MikeBordin – drums
Roddy Bottum – keyboards
#BillyGould – bass
#JimMartin – guitar
#MikePatton – vocals

#MikePatton lived for quite a while in #Italy, he speaks fluent Italian and enjoyed a lot to perform 1960s Italian songs... Amazing artist! ❤️‍🔥

Faith No More
📀 The Real Thing
#AlternativeRock #AlternativeMetal #RapMetal #FunkMetal

35 years ago Faith No More from San Francisco, #USA released their 3rd studio album.

The Real Thing is their first album with new vocalist Mike Patton, who joined #FaithNoMore when the album was musically almost completed and contributed writing the lyrics.
The album marked the band's international breakthrough thanks to a fantastic mix of Heavy Metal, Alternative Rock, Rap, Funk, perfectly shaped by Patton's amazing and eclectic vocals.

In the cassette version (here's my consumed copy in #VeniceRocksRoom☝️) 2 bonus tracks were included: the funky ballad "Edge Of The World" and a cover of the Heavy Metal milestone "War Pig" by #BlackSabbath.

Still one of my all time favorite🤘

In this album:
#MikeBordin – drums
#RoddyBottum – keyboards
#BillyGould – bass
#JimMartin – guitars
#MikePatton – vocals

Faith No More
📀 King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime
#AlternativeMetal #AvantGardeMetal #FunkMetal #PostHardcore #ExperimentalRock #AlternativeRock #ArtRock

30 years ago Faith No More from San Francisco, #USA released their 5th studio album.

King for a Day was the band's first album without longtime guitarist Jim Martin (who left after recording the previous
👉 Angel Dust), here replaced by Trey Spruance brought in from Mr. Bungle.

In this album #FaithNoMore showcased a variety of musical genres, some say too many and consider the album too confusing, some, like me, consider it a masterpiece🤘

Eargasm ❤️‍🔥

In this album:
#MikePatton – vocals
#TreySpruance – guitars
#BillyGould – bass, guitars
#RoddyBottum – keyboards, guitars
#MikeBordin – drums
