🎼4 August 1901. 120 years ago a child was born in New Orleans in total poverty. He was raised first by his grandmother and after some years by an immigrated Lithuanian Jewish family: he learned from them that intolerance towards the different was not only... a "black thing". This child's name was Louis Daniel Armstrong, a trumpeter🎺 and singer🎙 destined to become one of the most influential figures in 1900 music! 👏 He passed away 50 years ago, in the Summer of 1971.

Hertfotd, England, #UK released their debut studio album.

The band was founded few months earlier by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore after he left 👉 Deep Purple: he hired 4 former members of 👉 Elf, included vocalist R.J. Dio to record the debut album.

"Black Sheep of the Family" is a #Quatermass cover, the instrumental "Still I'm Sad" is a #Yardbirds cover.

Blackmore / Dio, one of the finest partnerships in Rock'n'Roll history had started: #Rainbow 🤘❤️‍🔥
