πŸŒ…πŸ–πŸΉHaving hosted hundreds, I perfectly know the one thing every traveler is desperately in search for when in #Italy: living La Dolce Vita for a while... like locals do.
Can you think of any place in the world where you can visit in the morning St. Mark and #Rialto, and later enjoy your lunch in a green island 🌳 with an amazing view on the Lagoon like #SantElena, and later walk along the seaside on the #Lido beaches... for miles until its end... and later enjoy your Aperitivo at the #Alberoni while waiting for your boat sailing the amazing South Lagoon back to St. Mark, and later enjoy the sunset on your boat along the Grand Canal !!!
Yes, you can actually live La Dolce Vita in Venice... possibly in summertime, possibly with me πŸ˜‰

... some pushing guys from Venice Lido thought it was time to make some Local Bands heard for the live music restart in this 2021 πŸŽΌπŸ‘
They set up an all summer long festival in the magic atmosphere of the #Alberoni... the "Lost Lands".
If I get the chance I'll definetely book my seat... and you can do the same πŸ˜ƒ
Because Venice Rocks! 🀟🎸
Believe me, there's nothing more poetically decadent than a beach closing down at #Alberoni, Venice Lido...

Not by chance the movie
πŸ‘‰ Death in Venice had its final act here...

πŸŒŠπŸ“œIn Autumn and Winter high tides threaten Venice and the #Lagoon.
This happens for ages, since Venice was founded: the first reported Acqua Granda (Flood) dates back in January 1286 and, along with it, the idea of the construction of a dam to prevent Venice from being flooded.
An early example of dam were the so called Murazzi, still today visible at the #Alberoni in Venice #Lido, built in 1744 in various places where the "Lagoon meets the Sea": the Lido, Santa Maria Del Mare, Pellestrina, Sottomarina.

Today we have the MOSE, finally working since 2021, after the last Acqua Granda of November 2019 which devasted Venice. Yesterday it was activated and definitely saved the city!!!
An interesting video of how it works hereπŸ‘‡
