Pantera
📀 Vulgar Display of Power
#ThrashMetal #GrooveMetal

30 years ago Pantera from Texas, #USA released their 6th studio album (often considered as their 2nd one after they completely changed rock genre in the 1990s).
Vulgar Display Of Power is Pantera's highest selling album and is widely regarded as one of the most influential Heavy Metal records ever!
Every single track is a gem and several have become Thrash/Groove Metal classics known by every Metalhead: like "Mouth for War", "A New Level", "Walk", "Fucking Hostile", "This Love".

#Pantera were:
#PhilAnselmo – vocals
#DimebagDarrell – guitars
#RexBrown – bass
#VinniePaul – drums

Music, Guitar Riffs, Lirycs, Vocals... a punch in the face as in the most apt album cover 👊 Absolute Killer Masterpiece and possibly my all time favorite! 🤟❤️‍🔥 #25February

Pantera
📀 Far Beyond Driven
#ThrashMetal #GrooveMetal

30 years ago Pantera from Texas, #USA released their 7th studio album.

The band was at the peak of its popularity and Far Beyond Driven went straight to n.1 in US charts!
In that year #Pantera was probably the most famous and appreciated Heavy Metal act worldwide.

The album contains a cover of the #BlackSabbath song "Planet Caravan", while the Japanese edition came out with a bonus track, a cover of the #PoisonIdea song "The Badge", which was later included in #TheCrow soundtrack.

Killer album, my cassette still plays loud in #VeniceRocksRoom🤘

In this album:
#PhilAnselmo – vocals
#DimebagDarrell – guitars
#RexBrown – bass
#VinniePaul – drums

Machine Head
📀 Burn My Eyes
#ThrashMetal #GrooveMetal

30 years ago Machine Head from Oakland, California, #USA released their debut studio album.

Burn My Eyes became the highest selling debut album for Roadrunner Records, only beaten by 👉 Slipknot debut 5 years later.

I clearly remember going to a Slayer concert in 1994, #MachineHead was the support band, I had never heard of them and from the very first note of "Davidian" I was captured, the day after I bought the LP you see in #VeniceRocksRoom☝️

Still today one of my all time favorite Thrash Metal albums, outrageous, outstanding🔥🤘

In this album:
#RobbFlynn – lead vocals, rhythm guitar
#LoganMader – lead guitar
#AdamDuce – bass, backing vocals
#ChrisKontos – drums

Acid Bath
📀 When The Kite String Pops
#SludgeMetal #GrooveMetal #StonerMetal #DoomMetal #SouthernMetal #DeathMetal

40 years ago Acid Bath from Louisiana, #USA released their debut studio album.

When The Kite String Pops was released indipendently and had no promotion.
It remained an underground album also due to the fact that #AcidBath split in 1997 following the death of bassist Audie Pitre.

In the years this has become a cult album, considered as a Sludge Metal milestone, but possibly every heavy sound we heard in the last 30 years is in here 🔥

Acid Bath announced the reunion few months ago and I can't wait to see them live🤘

In this album:
#DaxRiggs – vocals
#MikeSanchez – guitar
#SammyPierreDuet – backing vocals, guitar
#AudiePitre – backing vocals, bass
#JimmyKyle – drums, percussion
#8August

#20February 1986

The nervous, the drifting
The heaving
Wash away us all
Take us with the floods

Then throughout the day
Mankind played with grenades

Cold hearted world
And at night
They might bait the pentagram
Extinguishing the sun

Wash away man
Take him with the floods
