#PunkRock #ArtPunk #GarageRock

50 years ago Patti Smith from Chicago, #USA released her debut studio album.

Smith was living in New York since 1969 and she already had a name in the city as a poet, songwriter, visual artist and performer.

When Horses came out it was an immediate huge success and Patti Smith became the most influential member of the New York City–based punk movement and one of the most influential female artists internationally.

The opener "Gloria" (part one: "In Excelsis Deo" / part two: "Gloria (Version)" is a fantastic rendition of #Them / #VanMorrison classic.
