🎼14 June 1956. Darkness descends... at least here in Venice 😈
The perfect atmosphere to say "Happy" Birthday to the King of Darkness!
Kim Bendix Petersen, born in Copenhagen, Denmark, better known as King Diamond, who today is 65.
I remember growing up with the story he was a football player for the Denmark team before becoming a Satanist and later a Heavy⚡️Metal legend... I've always believed only in the third one 😉
Anyway one thing is sure, he is one of the most influential singers and stage performers for the entire Heavy Metal scene, having founded and fronted in late 70s /early 80s Mercyful Fate and later his #KingDiamond band.
I've personally never seen him live and I was ready to go to his concert near Verona in 2020, but Evil 🦇 suddenly came down and ruined my plans!
The King is still young and fit anyway, as the video in the Chat Room👇 can confirm... so I don't loose my hope 😃

P.S. hear his voice !

A restored 1400 nunnery cloister in Venice #Mestre... #KingDiamond would love it... if you know him, you know why 😈

Exactly 40 years ago, #30October 1983, this guy released his first album with #MercyfulFate... his powerful and wide ranging countertenor voice and his far reaching falsetto screams haven't changed much in all these years 😈🤘
You all have a nice Monday!
