35 years ago Def Leppard from Sheffield, #UK released their 4th studio album entitled Hysteria.
After their international breakthrough marked by the previous 1983 Pyromania, #DefLeppard hired songwriter legend Jim Steinman: the band's intention was to release the Michael Jackson's Thriller of Hard Rock!
Things went not good with Steinman who left the project but Def Leppard had to face a bigger issue: drummer Rick Allen lost his arm 😱 in a car accident and the band decided to wait for him back 🥁👏
It took 3 more years (!!!), the album was carefully treated and produced in every detail (#MuttLange), every song became a potential hit single and yes... it was a massive success, one of the best selling albums of all time, and a Hard Rock milestone!
Def Leppard:
#JoeElliott – vocals
#SteveClark – guitars
#PhilCollen – guitars
#RickSavage – bass
#RickAllen – drums
