#GothicRock #NewWave
40 years ago an obscure rock band from #Venice, #Italy called Death In Venice released their self-produced debut album.
The young Venetian band was put up by the 2 brothers Russo, highly influenced by the early 1980s Dark Wave scene: they took the band's name after the film
👉 Death In Venice and the album's title played on the atmosphere of that movie... which is pure decadence in fact!
Deca Dance was issued only in cassette and became a rare collectible, the band itself remained underground throughout its lifetime:
👉 Contempo Records label in #Florence signed the band in 1985 and released their following albums.
#DeathInVenice in this album:
#AngelRousseau (Angelo Russo) - Bass
#MarcWinnipeg (Marco Bianchi) - Drums, Percussion, Drum Programming
#CarlDiane - Guitar
#SebastianRousseau (Sebastiano Russo) - Vocals
