🎼12 October 1935. Luciano Pavarotti was born in Modena, #EmiliaRomagna, #Italy.
Having worked in travel industry for decades I can clearly identify the symbols of my country, what Italy IS in the "collective soul" of travellers: food, art, fashion, historical cities, amazing landscapes, #DolceVita, #Ferrari, #Pavarotti...
Pavarotti was one of the best tenors in opera history, but undoubtedly the most famous around the world, having crossed over into popular music the late part of his career, eventually becoming one of the most acclaimed and loved tenors of all time!!!💪🏻🔝
Here's "his" Nessun dorma in the legendary Central Park performance, maybe the one aria which whoever is singing it, we all immediately associate and personify with Luciano Pavarotti.👇

🎼16 October 1982.
40 years ago Mario Del Monaco, one of the most representative and popular tenors of the 1950s and 1960s passed away in Venice #Mestre.
Del Monaco was born in #Florence in 1915 and spent most of his lifetime in Venice.
Like #Pavarotti had his signature "aria" in Nessun Dorma, #DelMonaco was unrivaled in E Lucevan Le Stelle👇
An anecdote few know: Donella Del Monaco, the tenor's nephew and opera singer herself, became the #vocalist and lyricist of Opus Avantra, an obscure Italian avant-garde progressive rock band of early 1970s (I post a song in the Chat Room).

🎼 #4March 1943. Today Lucio Dalla from #Bologna would turn 80.

I'm pretty sure few (if not nobody) know him outside #Italy, as I'm pretty sure everyone knows his immortal 35 million selling masterpiece song Caruso, dedicated to the first worldwide famous Italian #tenor (early 1900).

👉 Pavarotti often used to perform this song in his shows (in the Chat Room👇 his version) ❤️‍🔥
