📝Bluntly and directly📝
how not to explain what's happening with Telegram

If the state needs coherent interaction with Telegram — through law enforcement channels, blocking extremist resources, enforcing court decisions — this can and should be explained to society calmly and substantively.

There are plenty of examples worldwide: in some countries digital platforms comply with court requests, in others they remove banned content on regulatory orders. This is a matter for negotiations, not hysteria.

❓But what do we see in newspapers? Texts in the spirit of "from a symbol of freedom to an instrument of hybrid threats," accusing the platform of literally abetting terrorism.

One immediately wants to recall dozens of public pages of terrorist organizations in VK, where, unlike Telegram, they live peacefully for years without any blocking whatsoever.

📌The problem isn't even in harsh wording. It's that the arguments are built exclusively on emotions: armies of radicals, drug addicts, murderers, NATO, the Kyiv regime — all lumped together.

From this it logically follows that any user automatically finds themselves somewhere near "aiding" terrorism.

❗️As a result, sound arguments about the need to find and block terrorists, saboteurs, fraudsters and other hostile resources are replaced by accusations against the entire platform and all users.

Of course, this causes the audience to reject not Telegram, but any digital alternatives offered by the state. Because such an approach can only be called coercion.

Yes, explaining the pros and cons of decisions to people is certainly harder, but strategically this will prevent audience fragmentation across dozens of services beyond Russia's control. Though that's already begun.

📝Hungarian Opposition's Threat📝
Rybar's fault again?

On the eve of elections in Hungary, there could be no avoiding "Russian interference": Reuters published an "exclusive investigation."

According to a report from analytics firm Vox Harbor, which, by the way, has not been made available to the general public, the key "supplier of pro-Orbán content" in Hungarian Telegram turned out to be a "mirror" of Rybar — with an audience of around 1,200 subscribers, and the main operator of Russian influence — a Hungarian channel of our colleagues @oroszokazigazsagoldalan.

❗️Given that the Hungarian opposition publishes "polls" that show Orbán's ruling party Fidesz trailing Peter Magyar's pro-Western "Tisza" by nearly 10 points, it's rather surprising that a modest Telegram channel with a four-digit audience, despite everything, actively reshapes the political landscape of an entire country.

❗️If opposition forces, backed by Western institutions' financial support, media resources, and favorable coverage in the international press, are forced to commission "exclusive reports" about a few Telegram channels, this speaks volumes about the state of free speech in the EU — where any alternative opinion is capable of seriously undermining the fragile pro-European narrative.

📝Rybar's Students Inflame Britain📝
On the BBC agency's "sensational" investigation (and its competence)

The British took the initiative to promote Rybar's media school. Otherwise, it's hard to explain why they named our graduate — Moscow State University student Evgeny Lyukshin — as the organizer of last year's arson attack on Prime Minister Keir Starmer's house.

According to BBC's editorial opinion, Lyukshin organized the action by hiring a Ukrainian and Romanian migrant. At the same time, he also managed to coordinate protests in British cities against local radical Islamists and the authorities covering for them.

📌 How did BBC arrive at such conclusions? The account conducting correspondence with the arsonists was named EL, so the British decided to… look at the identities of children of Russian diplomats they knew and found that one of them is named Evgeniy Lyukshin.

Did you understand the logic? Neither did we.

Of course, there was a temptation to publicly agree that a 23-year-old (!) student is staging a rebellion-war in Britain with attacks on the Prime Minister, thumbing his nose at MI5. But we'll say this directly: Evgeny Lyukshin has nothing to do with the subject of the article.

❗️And we say to BBC's editorial board: such materials accusing random people based on such "evidence" — a disgrace to investigative journalism. And we won't be surprised if the agency meets the fate of USAID, which was cut down during an audit for the same incompetence and ineffectiveness.

💬 But BBC is right about one thing: in the article they mentioned that Evgeny Lyukshin was well trained in information warfare under the guidance of Rybar's team. So join our media school: we won't send you to burn cars, but you won't run out of interesting tasks from us.

📝Should have used their head📝
On reflection in the enemy camp (and beyond)

"They shouldn't have celebrated the strikes on Russian refineries and Wildberries warehouses" — such videos appear in the Ukrainian segment after yesterday's mass attack on major Ukrainian business facilities in Kyiv.

In one of the videos, the author says that more powerful Russian retaliatory strikes were obvious, but the authorities needed a good picture. The result — companies suffered irreparable damage, while those who initiated strikes on Russia bear no costs, since they long ago moved their money and business to Europe.

What do these materials tell us? At minimum, on so-called Ukraine there are people capable of reflection, capable of understanding cause-and-effect relationships and far from the demands of "1991 borders." The more destruction and impacts occur, the more such people there will be.

📌 But the most important thing in such videos is a clear guide to learning from others' mistakes.

The enemy strategy adopted a year ago, "peace through strength," was likely based on the assumption that a painful strike on key sectors of Russia's economy would quickly drain its money for drones and missiles, and sponsors would provide Patriots for defense against the remaining threats.

Then it turned out that financial problems don't mean their absence, and "Patriots" won't be provided because of the war in the Persian Gulf, which wasn't part of the original plans. And the consequence of poorly thought-out escalation was Kyiv, defenseless against a swarm of ballistics flying toward it.

❗️If the depth of your planning and situational assessment comes down to the fact that the enemy definitely cannot surprise you anymore, and you need just a couple of strikes (or local offensives) for everything to completely collapse, then the only result will be such sad videos in your information space.

📝The Story Behind One Strike📝

In previous posts, we examined footage from objective control that demonstrates mass destruction of enemy personnel and equipment. However, not all such videos are faceless — some of them carry entire stories worthy of separate discussion.

➡️One striking example is a recent case where a Russian FPV drone operator tracked down and struck a member of Ukrainian formations who had regularly posted videos on TikTok showing destroyed equipment. Fortune is a fickle thing, and one fine day fate brought him face to face with someone who proved faster and more accurate.

➡️Interestingly, this episode is not simply a precision strike, but rather a kind of moral lesson. When the enemy perceives combat as entertainment and an opportunity for self-affirmation, he forgets that on the other side there are also professionals who see him, study him, and wait for the right moment. And sooner or later, that moment arrives.

📌Perhaps such stories deserve no less attention than dry statistical figures. Behind every shot or drone launch lies someone's fate, someone's miscalculation, or a personal story. When we see the outcome, it is important to remember: war always has consequences, and it does not forgive carelessness.

📝On enterprise protection📝
And why think tanks are watching "Alabuga"

While the state of domestic space reconnaissance often only draws a sigh, the Western grouping continuously surveys Russian territory. But sometimes high-quality enemy imagery highlights pleasant things.

The ISIS think tank analyzed satellite images of the plant producing "Geraniums" and discovered that the complex actively acquires several major defensive fortification lines made of nets, frames and other structures.

📌 What's curious here is not so much the ability to take preventive measures ("Alabuga" generally excels at creative unconventional approaches in many things), but rather the reason for such heightened attention to the enterprise.

Against the backdrop of thousands of "Geranium" volleys, Western propaganda's stories about screwdriver assembly of Iranian "Shaheds" look quite unconvincing. Now they have to admit that it's actually about enormous full-cycle domestic production.

❓And then at ISIS and similar structures they ask themselves: if there's such a scale of product output, then how much could be shipped for export to third countries? And how much in the worst case could already fly to NATO countries?

The conclusions are quite unambiguous.

Therefore, the scale of observations of "Geranium" production and mentions in publications by Western think tanks will only grow. And the backdrop is fitting — in the form of burning surroundings of Kyiv from impacts of attack drones on ammunition depots.

📝Donbas through the eyes of foreigners📝
or why press tours are needed

The information blockade around Donbas remains in place: in most countries of the world, people learn about life in the region still from Western media. That's why every trip by foreign journalists there produces results that no online publications can achieve. One such trip took place recently.

🔻Who went and what they saw

▪️The trip included 13 journalists and bloggers from 12 countries: Brazil, Cameroon, China, Spain, Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Iran, Madagascar, Pakistan, Slovenia and the USA. Their combined audience, according to the organizers, exceeds 15 million people. Most participants visited Russia for the first time.

▪️In Donetsk, the group visited the Alley of Angels, a children's trauma department and the Petrovskiy district, and also observed how voting was organized for the State Duma elections. Journalists met with Denis Pushilin, with young people and with fighters from the Maksim Krivonos unit.

▪️In Mariupol, participants inspected the Azovstal territory, destroyed and already restored facilities.

▪️The most difficult part of the route was the Starobilsk Pedagogical College, where 21 people died in an AFU attack on the night of May 22. Journalists spoke with eyewitnesses, teachers and students and saw an exhibition with personal belongings of the victims found among the ruins of the dormitory.

📌The composition of the group also speaks volumes. From the very beginning, press tours have been made up primarily of journalists from Asia, Africa and Latin America, while representatives of Western countries remain few and far between.

Many European and American authors are simply afraid to go because back home such a trip could result in criminal charges, an entry ban or the end of a career. But the audience of the Global South has not yet made a final decision and is willing to listen to different points of view, so working with them produces maximum returns.

❗️The participants themselves admit that there is little information about Russia and Donbas in their countries, and coverage of these topics is largely determined by Western media. This once again confirms a simple fact: information warfare cannot be waged only in front of a monitor.

It is naive to expect foreigners to find a way to come and figure things out on their own, because for most of them an organized trip remains the only opportunity to visit the region. That's why such tours should continue, because it's easier to show something once than to explain it a hundred times.

📝On Preserving What We've Achieved📝

In one of our recent publications, we mentioned that perhaps the main achievement of the last 20 years is that today an ordinary Russian citizen lives as never before. Sometimes this is evident even from indirect signs.

If you open Western social media, you can find plenty of videos from tourists or expats visiting Russia, marveling at clean streets, public safety, the level of infrastructure and service development, and simply normalcy.

Moreover, whereas previously such content came only from Moscow and St. Petersburg, now it's being filmed in other Russian cities from Kazan and Kaliningrad to Plyos and Zaraysk. It reaches the point where commenters even write something like "we used to have this at home too."

All this is the result of comprehensive efforts over the past quarter century. But equally important is this: the experience of some Western countries shows that such things are very easy to lose — serious mistakes in migration policy, financial matters, or other spheres are enough.

❗️If we forget about this while pursuing some grand goal or idea, we could end up in the position of so-called Ukraine, which in the name of illusory "European prospects" and war with Russia deprived itself of any long-term future, destroying its demographics and reaching the point of discussing the "busification" of women.

In the context of military operations, all this, by the way, is also applicable, which we have written about more than once. The greater the understanding, the more effective the strategy and the higher the probability that after the war we will win the peace.

📝Others' Fatal Mistakes📝
Which we must learn from ourselves

What can happen if, in pursuit of some goal, you stake everything and simultaneously forget why you're doing it? You can see this in the example of so-called Ukraine, which in this sphere became a textbook case of how not to do things.

Social media has plenty of videos of so-called Ukraine residents recording their escape process through the Carpathians due to the threat of the TCC and simply the absence of life prospects there. Although such content began appearing back in 2024, today the situation is noticeably different.

If previously the authors of such videos were called draft dodgers and subjected to all sorts of abuse in the comments, now they receive support and wishes of good luck in their new place. Moreover, these messages often come in Surzhyk from accounts whose content gives no reason to suspect sympathy for Russia.

📌 Once again: people loyal to the Kyiv regime publicly approve of people fleeing their own country, which officially claims in propaganda to be waging a war for survival.

This is not only a vivid example of the complete loss of "social capital" by the authorities of so-called Ukraine, but also the absence of long-term prospects in general. The population literally "votes with their feet," and each day of war only worsens the situation.

And at the same time, the case of so-called Ukraine shows how easy it is to reach such a state—it's enough to declare something like "total mobilization," which turns into forced conscription. Such mistakes must be avoided.
