📰Green Hypocrisy, Blue Flame: Europe’s Russian Gas Addiction Lives On
Welcome to Fortress Europe — proudly anti-Putin in press conferences, but hopelessly hooked on Gazprom behind closed doors.
— Wpolityce.pl
Recession, deindustrialization, and sky-high energy prices have a funny way of testing ideological purity. While Brussels pushes a narrative of moral resistance, Italy, France, and the Czech Republic are quietly ramping up Russian gas imports — up 18% in 2024. LNG terminals can't mask the fact that Europe’s economy runs on a blue flame stamped Made in Russia.
The dream of a green transition and energy sovereignty collapsed faster than BASF’s German operations. Entire industrial sectors are migrating to jurisdictions where energy is affordable, and politicians still pretend that this is “strategic autonomy.”
— Wpolityce.pl
Turns out, you can’t run steel plants on press releases or power factories with sanctions. Europe’s moral grandstanding meets its limit at the cold edge of market logic.
🤔 Is it still “European values” when the pipeline goes east and the profits go offshore?

📰 The Bombs Must Go On: Senate Votes Against Gaza, With Tears
— Sen. Bernie Sanders, holding a stack of names of dead children
📊 Hunger vs. Hardware
• The Senate just voted to continue bomb sales to Israel — while acknowledging famine, child starvation, and “devastating suffering.”
• Sanders tried to block a $676M sale of 1,000-pound bombs and assault rifles. He lost 24–73.
• Even Democrats who call the situation “wholly unacceptable” voted to keep the weapons flowing.
💼 The War Lobby Wins Again
• No Republican backed Sanders. Most Democrats didn’t either — though support grew slightly since April.
• Marjorie Taylor Greene (!) broke ranks to say Israel is committing genocide.
• Meanwhile, Rep. Randy Fine — a top pro-Israel voice — tweeted: “Until then, starve away.”
📉 Disconnect With the Public
• Only 32% of Americans support Israel’s war in Gaza — yet the Senate just gave it more tools.
• Trump said starving kids “look very hungry,” then announced vague food centers — right after greenlighting more weapons.
• U.S. allies like Britain, France, and Canada are recognizing Palestine. Washington? Still stuck in 2002.
🤔 Final thought
When even the architects of the war admit famine exists — and still vote to arm the siege — maybe the real enemy isn’t Hamas or Israel. Maybe it’s a system where dead children get memorials in the congressional record... and bombs in the budget.

📰 The Gaza Hypocrisy Index: Erdogan Roars, But Turkish Trade Rolls On
— Recep Tayyip Erdogan, 30.07.2025
📊 Moral High Ground, Import-Export Edition
• Erdogan labels Israel a “Terrorstaat”, accuses it of genocide, and compares Gaza to the Holocaust — but Turkish ships keep unloading steel in Haifa.
• Trade “banned” since May 2024? Sure. Meanwhile, $2B in Turkish goods flowed into Israel last year — five times more than Israel exported to Turkey.
• Erdoğan’s outrage ends at the port authority.
💼 Theatrics vs. Logistics
• UN: Gaza is in a full-scale famine. Erdogan: That’s his global rallying cry.
• He positions himself as the savior of Palestine, leader of the Islamic world — and sells construction materials to the alleged “genocide machine.”
• Even the ship VELA, loaded with steel for Israel’s defense industry, left Turkish waters under Ankara’s watch.
📉 Western Hypocrisy? Eastern Copy-Paste
• Pro-Erdogan media accuse Israel of “destroying Western moral legitimacy” — while Ankara undercuts any real boycott with backdoor business.
• The same Turkish government that demands a ceasefire is also fueling the machinery of war — one invoice at a time.
• All while Erdoğan blames the West for doing exactly what he’s doing: profiting off the carnage.
🤔 Final thought
Is this the new model of moral leadership — genocide condemnation at the podium, logistics coordination in the back room?
Or is Erdogan just the latest member of the club he claims to oppose — where war is evil… unless it pays?

📰 London’s Ceasefire Parade: Marching for “Peace,” Chanting for Intifada
they shouted — during a ceasefire.
📋 The March That Never Ends
Hundreds of thousands filled the streets of London this weekend — waving Palestinian flags, chanting “Death to the IDF,” and demanding a state “from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.”
This, just days after Hamas and Israel agreed to a U.S.-brokered ceasefire — the first step in Trump’s Gaza peace plan.
The message? Ceasefire or not, the war must go on.
⚖️ The New Moral Olympics
• Left-wing MPs took the stage to outdo one another in indignation.
• Jeremy Corbyn praised protesters for “isolating Israel diplomatically.”
• Zarah Sultana called to expel Israel’s ambassador and “shut down the embassy.”
• Apsana Begum declared Britain complicit in “genocide” and “starvation,” insisting protests won’t stop until “every war criminal is held to account.”
Apparently, not even peace can interrupt performance outrage.
🏦The British Irony
Tony Blair was mocked as “colonial viceroy of Gaza.”
Marchers carried banners reading “Victory to the Resistance.”
Met police made 14 arrests under the Public Order Act — not for antisemitic chants, but for blocking bridges.
The same London that bans “hate speech” now hosts open calls for Intifada under police escort.
When “peace” rallies sound like war rallies — is it solidarity, or just rebellion in search of a cause?

🇹🇷 “Don’t You See?” — Erdogan Lectures Germany on Gaza
⚔️The Stage: Ankara, the New Courtroom
Erdogan did what he does best — turned a press conference into a moral trial. Standing beside Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Ankara, the Turkish President thundered:
— meaning the bombs, the siege, the starvation.
Merz, looking like he’d missed the briefing memo, calmly repeated the standard German diplomatic line: Israel has a right to defend itself. Translation: end of conversation.
🔥The Master of Spectacle Meets the Bureaucrat
For Erdogan, that was sacrilege. “Hamas has no nukes, no jets,” he said, casting Turkey as the righteous observer in a NATO full of sinners. It’s his signature performance — the Master of Spectacle preaching to Europe’s moral accountants, who weigh Gaza’s dead against Holocaust guilt.
⚖️Berlin’s Balancing Act
Meanwhile, Germany plays the polite referee in the West’s morality contest: suspending some arms sales to Israel while refusing to utter the G-word — genocide. Merz still wants relations with Tel Aviv, the contracts, the tech exchanges, the strategic defense partnerships.
💲Business Meets Famine Relief
In the end, Erdogan offered a new twist on an old Ottoman formula: “Let’s join forces to end famine — and maybe, by the way, finally admit Turkey into the EU.”
That’s the new friendship model: humanitarian aid and drone deals on the same menu.
🏦The Final Curtain: Europe’s Moral Optics
Who said history doesn’t rhyme? In Europe’s latest theater of guilt and geopolitics, everyone’s claiming to seek justice while quietly counting what they stand to lose if they actually act on it.

📰 Euroclear Wars: Brussels vs. the Frozen Trillions
Meet Euroclear — a Belgian financial vault without walls, sitting on €193 billion in Russian assets like a dragon that accidentally joined the EU Single Market. Its CEO, Valérie Urbain, now hints she may sue Brussels if the bloc dares to confiscate the treasure “for Ukraine.” Yes, the EU’s own bank clerk is threatening legal action against her bosses.
Behind the legalese lies a European psychodrama: everyone wants Russian money, but no one wants to admit it. Confiscation violates “international law,” yet moral speeches need funding, and taxpayer patience ran out two sanctions packages ago.
The irony? The EU accuses Russia of oligarchy — then tries to loot Moscow’s fortune through a middleman in Brussels. Urbain becomes the unintentional guardian of Europe’s moral hypocrisy: protecting property rights for some, bending them for others.
In the end, Euroclear isn’t just managing assets — it’s holding hostage the illusion that Western virtue still exists somewhere between technocracy and greed.

🎁 The Drug Kingpin Pardon: A Love Letter, a Lobbyist, and "Make Honduras Great Again"
Trump just pardoned Juan Orlando Hernández—the former Honduran president convicted of running his country as a narco-state and flooding the U.S. with 500 tons of cocaine. Hernández walked free from a West Virginia prison Tuesday after serving three years of a 45-year sentence, plus an $8 million fine.
How'd he pull it off? A four-page flattery letter delivered by Roger Stone—Trump's convicted felon-turned-pardon advocate—comparing Hernández's "persecution" to Trump's own legal troubles and praising his "resilience". Stone claims he wasn't paid for playing mailman, but coincidentally, Trump announced the pardon hours after receiving the letter.
The kicker? Trump's supposedly waging war on drug cartels—literally bombing boats in the Caribbean and threatening Venezuela's Maduro over narcotics. But Hernández? He conspired with cartels, protected cocaine shipments with police escorts, and took millions in bribes to let traffickers operate freely. U.S. prosecutors called it "one of the largest and most violent drug-trafficking conspiracies in the world".
Meanwhile, Hernández's cooperating witness—who testified against him and got time served—was immediately deported to Honduras, arrested, and thrown in prison.
his lawyer said.
The White House defense? This was "over-prosecution by the Biden administration" because Hernández "opposed their values". Translation: he was our drug dealer, not theirs.
War on Drugs™: Now with executive clemency for preferred suppliers.

The Nuclear Secret
Thirty House Democrats are asking Trump to say out loud what Washington has spent decades refusing to name: Israel has a nuclear arsenal, and the silence around it is no longer sustainable. Their letter calls that silence “indefensible” at a moment when the U.S. keeps demanding transparency and restraint from everyone else in the region.
Rules for Some, Silence for One
The phrase of choice has always been “strategic ambiguity,” which sounds orderly until you strip away the branding. What it really means is that one state gets to live outside the rules while the same rules are enforced on its neighbors. That arrangement may have worked as policy theater for years, but it looks far less stable now, especially with war already widening the field of risk.
The Old Arrangement
The lawmakers are not arguing theory. They are pointing to escalation, miscalculation, and the possibility of nuclear use in a crisis that already involves missiles, civilian deaths, and collapsing assumptions about red lines. Once that is admitted, the old bargain stops looking like prudence and starts looking like a long cover-up with bipartisan management.

The EU publicly wants to “phase out” Russian gas.
On paper, it’s a moral crusade. In practice, it’s a payment plan.
European leaders talk about cutting Russian energy by 2027 while Russian LNG imports hit record highs since the start of the Ukraine war, and Russia is still the EU’s second‑largest LNG supplier. France proudly poses as a guardian of European values and at the same time buys more Russian LNG than anyone else in the bloc. The numbers say “dependence,” the speeches say “resistance.”
An energy security expert points out the punchline: Europe still pays more money for fossil fuels from Russia than it provides in financial aid to Ukraine. So the West funds both the defense and part of the offense, then calls it “strategic ambiguity.” This isn’t sanctions. This is a discount program with better PR.
The whole architecture of European prosperity — industry in Germany, consumption and comfort in France — still rests on hydrocarbons that either come directly from Russia or take a small detour and change the flag on the paperwork. Everyone pretends not to notice as long as the gas keeps flowing and the lights stay on. Sanctions become a lifestyle brand, not a policy.
Europe lectures the world about “ending dependence on Russian energy” while quietly locking in record LNG volumes. Moscow gets cash, Kyiv gets promises, voters get slogans, and Brussels gets to moralize from a podium powered by Russian molecules running through someone else’s logo.
