Woltemade pursuit has Bayern puzzled for now (FCB Inside via @iMiaSanMia)Bayern Munich still wants Nick Woltemade...and VfB Stuttgart still does not want to give him up. For Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, the situation has been an odd one. “We have a situation that has been talked about often enough. We made an offer. That hasn’t led to any discussions to date – and that’s the status quo. I’ve said elsewhere that I don’t like to talk about players of other clubs, and Nick Woltemade is currently a player of VfB Stuttgart. We’ll see how things develop,” Dreesen told FCB Inside (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Our industry is so crazy that everything is normal and sometimes abnormal.”When asked if the club would up its offer, Dreesen passed the buck (figuratively, not literally): “I must explicitly say that this is certainly also the task of my esteemed colleague Max Eberl, together with Christoph Freund.”Bayern Munich will likely take another run at this, though it will not be easy. Sport-Club Freiburg v Eintracht Frankfurt - Bundesliga Photo by Sebastian El-Saqqa - firo sportphoto/Getty Images The weekend is finally upon us... Bayern kicked around bringing in Krösche (Sport Bild via @iMiaSanMia)According to a report from Sport Bild, Bayern Munich toyed around with the idea of bringing in Markus Krösche as a potential addition to the front office: Markus Krösche’s name was discussed at Bayern’s supervisory board, but there are doubts about whether he would work within Bayern’s current leadership concept. Krösche is known to want to operate with freedom and would not allow interference from the club’s bosses in his work, neither transfers nor leadership style. As of now, there has been no contact between Bayern bosses and Krösche. There are ‘strong voices’ at Bayern that, if Max Eberl were to be dismissed, a complete ‘cut’ and fresh blood are needed. For them continuing with Jan-Christian Dreesen and Christoph Freund instead of Eberl should be out of the question. Borussia Dortmund, Milan and Premier League clubs are also monitoring Krösche’s situation. He’s under contract until 2028, but Frankfurt do not expect him to stay for that long. @SPORTBILDThis is a little bizarre to say the least. It is not as if you need a back-up board member for sport or sporting director. Krösche could be a name to keep an eye on in the future, though. LFC making progress with NUFC on Isak (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg) Talks between Newcastle and Liverpool over Alexander #Isak are progressing well. The player’s camp are very positive about the situation. Isak is hopeful that an agreement between the clubs can be reached. A record bid will be needed. #LFC A verbal agreement in principle over a contract running until 2031 has been reached with Liverpool, as reported yesterday.Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show Season 5, Episode 1 (Bavarian Football Works)Bayern Munich had a busy week, so let’s unwind and break it down. Boey could stay (Kicker’s Frank Linkesch)Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey might not get sold this season after all.Despite rumors to the contrary, Boey has a backer in head coach Vincent Kompany and no desire to leave the club permanently, according to Linkesch: Bayern bosses are willing to listen to offers for Sacha Boey but there are currently indications that he will stay. Sources close to Min-jae deny Al-Nassr rumors (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae is on tenuous footing at the club these days. Rumors have been swirling that Min-jae was being shopped by the club, but a story broke on Thursday indicating that the Korean’s agent was talking to Al-Nassr. Now, “sources close to Min-jae” denied the report: Sources close to Min-jae #Kim told Sky: “We are currently not in talks with Al-Nassr. These reports are not true. Min-jae is fully focused on FC Bayern and will stay, unless something extraordinary happens.”@SkySportDEIt still would not be shocking to see Min-jae ask to leave Bayern Munich this summer. It is just hard to imagine that the Korean will be content if he is the third option in a two center-back formation. Simons pulls social media divorce move on Leipzig (Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze)Xavi Simons went Instagram official in breaking up with RB Leipzig: News about Xavi Simons: The Dutchman has deleted “RB Leipzig” from his Instagram page. Coincidence? More likely a clear signal that he wants to leave the club. Xavi and his camp continue to push for a move. The situation remains the same: Chelsea are the most concrete suitor.
