RT @ArmchairAdml: #USAF United States Air Force
29 January 2026 - 0115z

There is now activity around Robert Gray Army Airfield/Fort Hood, with one of the diverted C-17's arriving on the 28th. I'm starting to record C-5 flights as well, with two from 28 January being added.

There hasn't been any movement of the GOLD tankers from Pease ANGB yet. I expect these may move today (29th).

Note: All the information in these posts is obtained via public sources (FlightRadar24/ADS-B/ACARS), and discrete movements are omitted.

Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, Jordan
Boeing C-17 Globemaster III 1x
#AE2FA3 08-8191 - REACH 635 (Moody AFB)

REACH 635 from Moody AFB has now arrived in Jordan. Reminder that Moody is, among other units, home to the 71st Rescue Squadron flying the HC-130J Combat King II. This suggests that KING 40/41 flight will eventually end up in Jordan.

Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar
Lockheed Martin C-5M Super Galaxy 2x
#AE0572 86-0021 - REACH 4010 (MacDill AFB)
#AE0562 85-0005 - REACH 4005 (MacDill AFB)

I'm going to start recording C-5 flights, there aren't as many - mainly due to the size of the fleet. Two flights, REACH 4005 and REACH 4010 departed MacDill AFB, with REACH 4005 having arrived at Al Udeid alraedy.

Unknown Final Location
Boeing C-17 Globemaster III 2x
#AE1461 06-6163 - REACH 127 (Rota NAS)
#AE1464 06-6166 - REACH 867 (Offutt AFB)

Two C-17 flights with unknown final locations currently. There is a flight from Offutt AFB currently on the ground at Ramstein, likely carrying further equipment for the RC-135 which flew to Al Udeid on Wednesday.

Other Aircraft
Bombardier E-11A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN)
#AE54B4 12-9506 - BLACKWOLF 01 (Robins AFB)

BLACKWOLF 01 appears to be making its way to the Middle East, having arrived in Souda Bay on Tuesday.

Summary
My eyes are still on tanker movements. To recap, there are eight KC-46 tankers positioned on the U.S. East Coast.

For CORONET East 035:
- GOLD 81/82
- GOLD 71/72

For CORONET East 037:
- GOLD 31/32
- GOLD 41/42

037E moved six E/A-18G Growler's from Roosevelt Roads Naval Air Station to Oceana Naval Air Station, with the tankers continuing on to Pease ANGB, rather than returning home to McConnell. This suggests they will be making the journey across the Atlantic at some stage.

Any additions or corrections please let me know. Thanks!

#USAF United States Air Force - Middle East Activity (CORONET)
27 January 2026 - 2000z

Second update for the day. The main focus being CORONET East 037 involving E/A-18G's, as well as HC-130's and additional C-17 flights.

Note: All the information in these posts is obtained via public sources (FlightRadar24/ADS-B/ACARS), and discrete movements are omitted. The noted date is the arrival date of the last stop. For previous flights that aren't shown, please browse back through this thread.

#AE5E08 17-46027 - GOLD 31 (Homestead ARB)
#AE5FA6 11-46059 - GOLD 42 (Cecil Airport)
#AE5F97 18-46044 - GOLD 32 (Cecil Airport)

The two KC-46's that moved to Homestead Air Reserve Base yesterday as GOLD 31 and GOLD 41 today flew towards Puerto Rico to collect six E/A-18G Growlers as TABOR 51-53/61-63 flight from Roosevelt Roads Naval Air Station, and took them to Oceana Naval Air Station. GOLD 31/41, along with GOLD 32 and GOLD 42, all moved to Pease Air National Guard Base. It looks that these E/A-18's are bound for the Middle East and will most likely move in the next 24-48 hours.

Aside from this, CORONET East 035 is still positioned at Homestead as GOLD 71/72 and GOLD 81/82. There has been no movement on these tankers yet.

There have now been at least 140 US Air Force flights to the Middle East & Diego Garcia since January 14th, according to @ArmchairAdml

"With 79 total flights from bases housing Patriot and THAAD systems, we are possibly nearing completion of the air defence movements"

#USAF United States Air Force - Middle East Activity
10 February - 1130z

There has now been at least 140 flights of U.S. Air Force C-17 and C-5 aircraft from bases in the United States and Japan to the CENTCOM AOR since 14 January.

These flights have been primarily from U.S. Army Airfields, followed by U.S. Air Force bases related to deployed fighters. The breakdown of the flights is as follows:

Arrived/En Route/Filed via ACARS: 140
Muwaffaq Salti Air Base: 83
Prince Sultan Air Base: 19
Ali Al Salem Air Base: 13
Al Udeid Air Base: 13
Diego Garcia NSF: 9
Isa Air Base: 3

There are currently only three flights in-progress, two from Biggs AAF, and the other from Robert Gray AAF.

There have been two CORONET movements today. The first was an attempted move of the 12x "MO" F-15E Strike Eagles of Mountain Home Air Force Base from Souda Bay to Moron. The second being the 6x "VT" F-35As at Naval Station Rota relocating to Moron.

NOTE: All information is obtained via public sources (ADS-B/ACARS), and this list is by no means exhaustive.

#AE0375 58-0042 - BLUE 71
#AE07C2 63-8020 - BLUE 62
#AE04E8 60-0356 - BLUE 61

Two of the four BLUE tankers that arrived at Moron over the past few days positioned further to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Along with two based tankers at Al Udeid, BLUE 61/62 and BLUE 71/72 flights departed Al Udeid for Souda Bay, where 12x F-15E Strike Eagles from Mountain Home AFB had moved on the 9th February.

The rumour had been that they would fly to RAF Lakenheath without tanker support, making another stop at Aviano. These tankers were due to take them to Moron, but weather at Moron meant they cancelled. The tankers returned to Moron, and the fighters remained at Souda Bay.

The number of U.S. Air Force C-17 and C-5 flights from the U.S. have increased to at least 152, with another three arrivals in Jordan, and one each in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the two E/A-18G Growlers and six "VT" F-35As have finally departed Spain for Jordan.

With reports from Reuters[1] that the U.S. are preparing for "sustained, weeks-long operations against Iran", the 152 number is likely to begin growing significantly and shift from Army Airfields to Air Force Bases, as well as flights supporting U.S. Navy deployments.

Three more arrivals into Jordan, flights from Roosevelt Roads and Anniston Army Depot are ongoing along with the usual flights from Robert Gray Army Airfield. The flights from Roosevelt Roads will likely begin slowing once the support equipment for the "VT" F-35s and E/A-18s has been moved.

17 February - Day Summary

It's been a busy day. A total of 48x F-16s from Aviano, Spangdahlem and McEntire have deployed to the Middle East, the first 6 of 12 F-22s from Langley AFB have arrived at RAF Lakenheath tonight, 6 E-3 Sentrys are deploying, with two at Mildenhall and four en route to Ramstein, and tankers have begun deploying to Lajes.

On top of this, C-17 and C-5 flights now stand at least 176, plus 24 that are in-progress.

The number of aircraft involved *just today* is staggering and is more than some airforces have in total.

#AE5E08 17-46027 - REACH 292
#AE63BE 20-46082 - REACH 280

Six KC-46 Pegasus tankers have deployed, mainly from McConnell AFB, to Lajes Field in the Azores. This is a suitable spot for tankers to base themselves for refuelling bombers making round-trip flights from CONUS to Iran. Another likely location for tankers will be Chania Airport in Crete.

#AE0651 58-0057 - REACH 288
#AE0471 57-1451 - REACH 129

Five KC-135s have deployed out to Chania Airport - like Lajes this would be a likely location to stage tankers to support a flight of bombers.

Five KC-46s are supporting the deployment of a further four E-3s and an RC-135. An E-11 is also deploying from Warner Robins AFB to Ramstein.

Summary
There is just too much now for me to cover now in these posts, so please take a look at the tables below. Anything new is green.

There may be slower updates tomorrow and thursday as I'm heading over to Lakenheath for the next set of F-22s.
