🎼12 April 1944. Happy Birthday 🥳🍾 to John Kay (born Joachim Fritz Krauledat in Prussia, East Germany), singer, guitarist and frontman for late 60s and early 70s American rock band Steppenwolf.
#Steppenwolf are worldwide famous just for 1 song everyone knows: Born To Be Wild 🤟😈 which was anthem and landmark for the entire "rock hippie rebel" #Woodstock generation of the late 60s, perfectly pictured and sublimated by #EasyRider movie, for which this song was the soundtrack!
A couple of years ago (or in the previous life as you prefer 🤷‍♂️) it was my pleasure to host here in Venice 😳 former Steppenwolf Tour Manager, and it was great to hear from him some... "nice stories" 😉🙏🏻🔝
For John Kay's 76th Birthday 🎂 I chose a less famous Steppenwolf song written by him ("Born to Be Wild" is in fact not penned by Steppenwolf): Magic Carpet Ride which was later covered by many rock bands 🎸💪🏻
In the Chat Room👇I also post a cover by Michael Monroe & Slash, as always if you have any other Steppenwolf song you like... just post it 😃

🎥12 April 1985. Dolomites in Movie Series.
Ladyhawke, American medieval dark fantasy film directed and produced by Richard Donner, is released. The film stars Matthew Broderick, #RutgerHauer, and #MichellePfeiffer! 😍🔝
After a Satanic curse by a bishop who fell in love with her, Isabeau (Pfeiffer) is condemned to turn into a hawk by day and his lover Navarre (Hauer) condemned to turn into a wolf by night: therefore the 2 lovers are always together but they can't meet as human, unless they'd break the curse: Philippe (Broderick), a young thief, will help them for that.
#Ladyhawke is entirely filmed in #Italy, in various locations such as Abruzzo, Lazio, Lombardy and Emilia Regions and in a stunning location on the Dolomites, a 20 minutes drive from #myhometown Auronzo di #Cadore. 😃
The film had fair critical reception and a good success all over the world.
In the Chat Room👇one of the most breathtaking scenes filmed in #Misurina, Lake Antorno, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, all part of "my" #Dolomites🏔
Have you seen this movie? Did you like it? 🎞
