🎼20 April 1968. The Rolling Stones record maybe my favorite "number" (as Mick Jagger used to call his songs): Jumpin' Jack Flash ! 👍🎸🔥
Creative Process: it was of course springtime and the gardener came early morning to Keith country house waking up #MickJagger and #KeithRichards while working... Mick asked: "Whassat?" Richards answered: "Oh, that's Jack – that's jumpin' Jack." 👨🌾
🌷🌳🌿
Few minutes later Keith tuned his acoustic six strings on D 🎸🤟

🎼20 April 1967. Happy Birthday 🥳🍾to Mr. Mike Portnoy, born Michael Stephen Portnoy in Long Beach. New York, USA.
He's one of the best drummers 🥁 in the heavy progressive metal scene (and perhaps not just in that) and a legendary musician if you take a look at the infinite list of bands and projects in which he is involved 😳 as a #drummer, songwriter, lyricist and occasional vocalist.
After founding and playing for 25 years in the most important progressive metal band, #DreamTheater, he is currently member of Neal Morse Band and supergroups such as Flying Colors, Transatlantic, The Winery Dogs, Liquid Tension Experiment, Metal Allegiance and Sons of Apollo... plus past bands like #AdrenalineMob, #AvengedSevenfold and guest playing in uncountable albums.
I share his last drum cam playthrough from his youtube channel: I can't play drums so I just watched in religious silence🙏🏻without understanding what he does 😳... but I'm surprised by some fellow drummers' comments who don't quite get it either 😱😉
