πΌ As often happened from the 60s onwards... Sir Mick Jagger seems to have the final word... on this pandemic too! π
Here's his new single, directly from Sicily, #Italy where he's living now (!!!), in collaboration with Dave Grohl... who apparently does the job!

EAZY SLEAZY β Mick Jagger with Dave Grohl β Lyric video
I wanted to share this song that I wrote about eventually coming out of lockdown, with some much needed optimism - thank you to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with you on this - hope you all enjoy Eazy Sleazyβ¦
πΌ20 April 1968. The Rolling Stones record maybe my favorite "number" (as Mick Jagger used to call his songs): Jumpin' Jack Flash ! ππΈπ₯
Creative Process: it was of course springtime and the gardener came early morning to Keith country house waking up #MickJagger and #KeithRichards while working... Mick asked: "Whassat?" Richards answered: "Oh, that's Jack β that's jumpin' Jack." π¨βπΎ

Few minutes later Keith tuned his acoustic six strings on D πΈπ€

πΌ On the other side of the Ocean: British Blues
And what was happening outside the US?
American music was invading and becoming popular in many other countries thanks to
πJukeboxes, Radio programs and the first Record Stores.
UK for obvious reasons was the first country to witness an increasing interest in Rock'n'Roll in late 1950s and early 1960s.
In particular 2 figures were fundamental for the growth of the so called British Blues, which would lead to the "British Invasion" in a few years: Alexis Korner first with his Blues Incorporated and John Mayall later with his Bluesbreakers πΈβοΈ
Many British musicians who became famous in the 60s were part of these 2 projects, which today could be addressed as incubators: #MickJagger, #BrianJones, #JackBruce, #EricClapton to name a few, all started with π§Alexis Korner and π§John Mayall.
And literally every rock artist and band of the time, started a career after attending concerts of the both at the legendary Marquee Club.
Pioneers!

45 years ago The Rolling Stones from #UK released their 14th studio album, their first to feature new member Ronnie Wood.
Some Girls came out in a year when music was worldwide dominated by new genres such as Disco and Punk and new young Hard Rock / Heavy Metal bands.
All these different worlds agreed to consider #RollingStones as dinosaurs with nothing more to tell...
Jagger & Richards were perfectly aware of that and "answered" with this album which embraced all the above genres, delievered several classics and sold more than 7 million copies!
In this album:
#MickJagger β vocals, guitar, piano, percussion
#KeithRichards β guitar, vocals, bass, piano
#RonnieWood β guitar, backing vocals
#BillWyman β bass, synthesiser
#CharlieWatts β drums
Additional
#SugarBlue β harmonica
#IanMcLagan β piano, organ
#MelCollins β saxophone
