- #PaulMcCartney
In early 1960s the #Beatles started as a sort of #CarlPerkins cover band, often playing his hits "Blue Suede Shoes", "Matchbox", "Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby", "Honey Don't".

Supergroup: term used in past decades (and abused today) when wonderful and famous musicians gather to record an album and/or form a new band. We have so many examples of supergroups in rock history.
The Million Dollar Quartet can well be referred as the first rock supergroup: incidentally or not, on December 4, 1956, #ElvisPresley, #JohnnyCash, #CarlPerkins, #JerryLeeLewis met and jammed together at the legendary 👉 Sun Records studio in Memphis.
The recordings of that day emerged only in 1969 after a research in the record company archives and were dubbed as #TheMillionDollarQuartet.
