🎼24 June 1944. Happy Birthday 🥳🍾 to Jeff Beck, born Geoffrey Arnold Beck in Wallington, England.
Simply one of the best #guitarist 🎸 in music history, he crossed 6 decades of rock, blues, hard rock and fusion, as founder and member of bands such as #Yardbirds (with two guys 🎸 called Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page!) in the 60s, Beck, Bogert & Appice in the 70s and his longtime Jeff Beck Group from late 60s until today (with an early #RodStewart on vocals!). His guest appearances in albums and songs are literally uncountable. #JeffBeck is probably the first one of what they call... a guitar hero 🎸🤟 #24June

🎼4 January 1942. Happy 80th birthday 🥳🍾 to John McLaughlin, born in Doncaster, England. He is considered by many prominent guitarists... the best #guitarist 🎸alive, having pioneered Jazz Fusion in early 1970s: his music combines elements of jazz with rock, world music, Indian classical music, Western classical music, flamenco, and blues 😳👏

#JohnMcLaughlin albums and guest appearances during his 6 decades career are literally uncountable, having collaborated and played with the likes of #MilesDavis, #TonyWilliams, #JimiHendrix, #JeffBeck, #AlDiMeola, #JoniMitchell, #CarlosSantana, to name a few...
McLaughlin has been member and leader of seminal The Mahavishnu Orchestra, one of the earliest jazz fusion bands ever and Shakty in the 70s.

📀 Truth
#Rock #HardRock #RockBlues

A tribute to guitarist extraordinaire Jeff Beck from Surrey, #UK, who 55 years ago released his debut studio album.

Truth contains songs (mainly Rock Blues covers plus 3 songs penned Beck/Stewart and Jimmy Page's instrumental "Beck's Bolero") recorded over 2 years after #JeffBeck left #Yardbirds.

The list of guest musicians is incredible: #JimmyPage, #JohnPaulJones, #ClemCattini, #MickyWaller, #KeithMoon (cited as "You Know Who").
In addition in this album (credited to Jeff Beck as a solo artist) appear all future members of the newly formed Jeff Beck Group: #RodStewart on vocals, #NickyHopkins on piano, #AynsleyDunbar on drums.

Truth is considered one of the most important Rock albums of all time, highly influential especially to the embryonic Hard Rock and Heavy Metal genres!
